Description for DigiLocker Intership

We encourage applications from skilled and motivated young people to serve as interns at NeGD for the DigiLocker project. The purpose of the internship is to provide an opportunity for individuals to substantively contribute and learn from our work. The intern will be given specific tasks and responsibilities and will be challenged to develop their capabilities and gain experience. The intern is expected to be flexible and provide time-bound delivery of the assigned task. Internships are available in both development and operations (such as Product management, UI UX Development, Front End Development, Database Management, Blockchain, etc.) however, availability during a given internship term is based on business need. The opportunity is available in area of:
Front End Development

Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Working as per the best coding standards
• Working on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap
• Working on multiple projects at the same time and completing tasks in a timely manner
• Knowledge of PHP, Python is a plus.

UI/UX

Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Working with the UI and UX to design and build the UI of web & mobile pages and templates
• Creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and mockups
• Identifying and troubleshooting UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)

Skill(s) required

• Wire framing Adobe XD, Figma, Prototyping

Graphic Designer

Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Working for social media posts, website banners and publicity material

Skill(s) required

• Adobe Photoshop, Figma

Product Management

Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Designing and implementing our products
• Managing the end-to-end execution of product features
• Contributing towards product vision and strategy

Blockchain

Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Developing/updating smart contracts
• Deploying Blockchain contracts on the cloud
• Dealing with private key security on the cloud
• Writing proxies for connecting to smart contracts in Go long
• Deploying blockchain on the backend as per the requirements
• Conducting in-depth research, brainstorming to evaluate applications for new emerging trends & identifying non-obvious opportunities, implementing design, develop, and test blockchain technologies
• Develop architecture and create application features and interfaces by using Java / Kotlin programming languages and writing multithreaded codes
• Documenting development processes and complying with best practices in data protection

Database Management

Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Work on building and managing database for the marketing department
• Clean and filter the existing databases and channelize the database systematically
• Gather and build a master database as per requirements about consumers and market conditions
• Work on data mining and scrapping
• Conduct research to ensure the database is updated

IOS Development

Candidate must have MAC system with them.

Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Design and build applications for the iOS platform
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Collaborate with a team to build the iOS version of existing product and ship new features
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

Skills And Qualifications

• Proficient with Objective-C or Swift
• Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as GIT
• Any prior experience of building an iOS app is a big plus Skills:- Objective C, Swift, iOS App Development and API

Minimum Engagement period required: 6 Months

Conditions

Internships are on a voluntary basis and Intern is not entitled to wages or a promise of employment at the completion of the Internship. No office space will be provided and interns will have to work from home. OpenForge platform (https://openforge.gov.in) will be utilized by the interns for collaboration and to submit their work for review.
