Freshworks off campus 2022 drive: Role & Responsibilities
The different software development teams work closely with the product teams and are divided into squads. Each squad may comprise of a few product managers and product designers and a number of software engineers. Each engineer is part of a squad and each squad owns different areas of responsibility for their respective product / platform – be it backend, frontend, testing or operations. They own the entire SDLC for their area of responsibility and are in charge of delivering world-class features for our products. Anyone who enjoys programming and writing code to solve business problems will fit very well into engineering roles at Freshworks.

If you graduated in 2021 or earlier, we have only a few openings where we are hiring freshers – We will reach out to you based on the openings we have.

Solid problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
Experience with hands-on programming (in any language).
Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms and OOPs concepts.
Passion for building things from ground up.
If you’ve built web/mobile apps during your time in college, that will certainly give you an edge.
Selection Process of Freshworks
The Selection process of Freshworks includes the multiple round of interview. Whosoever clear the first round will move to another round of Interviews. The interview rounds are as follows:
Shortlisted profiles will be invited to a coding challenge. We will send out invites in a periodic manner and give one week to complete it.
All our interviews will be virtual video interviews on Zoom, since we are all working remotely for the time being.
We will plan multiple interview drives – they may be spread over 2-3 dates to accommodate all candidates.
Given the context of Covid and remote work – Freshworks is working partially remotely (as things stand today). While we have office locations in Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad – we are open to hiring in all these locations, but the majority of our teams are based out of Chennai.
We are also tentatively looking at expanding to newer locations and will take your preference in case you wish to be based out of these locations in the future.
We are also slowly returning back to the office in phases, and will expect those hired to work out of one of the three offices upon joining.

The individual students and team leaders will get a set of 30 IT-related questions that need to be answered in 30 minutes.

Eligibility Criteria:
B.Tech/B.E students from 3rd and 4th year, M.E./M.Tech students and MBA (IT), BCA/MCA students are eligible to participate
The participants should be full-time students of the college
This is a team challenge (only 2 students in a team)
One person can’t be a member of more than one team
Team Formulation Guidelines:
Teams must register themselves on or before 2nd Sept, 23:59 hours
Each team must choose a name for their team
It is the team leader’s responsibility to ensure that all the team members are eligible to participate in the contest
Violation of the eligibility criteria or team constitution will automatically disqualify the team
TVS Credit reserves the right to check the validity of the registration information submitted at any point in time
Modification of team members post registration will not be allowed

Stages:
Round 1: Online Quiz
All the registered students can take the IT online quiz on 3rd Sept (2:00 PM IST – 10:00 PM IST)
The quiz window will be open for 8 hours
The teams will be ranked based on the score and finishing time; This means that if two teams have the same score, then the team that finished earlier will be ranked higher
Participating teams will move on to the next level, based on their performance
The results of the quiz challenge will be declared at the end of the same day
Round 2: Coding Challenge
Shortlisted teams from Round 1 will participate in Round 2
Shortlisted teams can take the coding challenge on 4thSept (2:00 PM IST – 10:00 PM IST)
The coding round window will be open for 8 hours
The teams will be ranked based on the score and finishing time; This means that if two teams have the same score, then the team that finished earlier will be ranked higher
Participating teams will move on to the next level, based on their performance in this coding assessment.
Shortlisted teams from Round 2 will participate in Round 3
In Round 3, two real-time problem statements will be shared; The teams will have to select one problem statement which they wish to work on and they will be required to submit a solution
The teams can zip the PPT/Docs etc. in a folder and upload the same for submissions
The deliverables will be mentioned in the case study only.
The Round 3 entries must be submitted by 18th Sept, 23:59 hours
The participating teams in this round will move on to the next level based on their performance
Round 4: Grand Finale
In the final round of E.P.I.C, the shortlisted teams will have to build a prototype (coding required) based on the solutions suggested in Round 2; They will be given 15 days to build and present the prototype.
