Job Description:
The Red Hat Performance Engineering team is looking for an Associate Software Engineer with intermediate development expertise in Python to join us in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will participate in the open source software project. You’ll contribute to the upstream community and work on the productization of the project. As an Associate Software Engineer creating solutions on the Engineering team, you will work in an agile development environment and participate in the full life cycle of the offering.
Primary job responsibilities:
- Install and configure various offerings to understand integration features that are to be developed
- Contribute new features and other improvements to upstream projects
- Submit patches for bug fixes and review patches from other community members
- Partner closely with the Quality Engineering (QE) team to ensure that contributions are tested correctly
- Cooperate with a globally distributed technical team
- Automate the testing process for easier usability and repeatability
- Publicize the work done by yourself and team via blogs, web postings, and conference talks
