Job Description:-
“Extract, Transform, Load” Developer (ETL Developer) is a technical IT Position within Emerson reporting to a Senior Data Services Analyst. The ETL Developer is a technical expert focused on working on Data Migration Tools to extract from one or more business application sources into Data staging areas, build rules to transform source data structures to target data structures. An ETL developer is responsible for designing the data staging, and transformation, testing, and troubleshooting during the course of implementation before it goes live
ETL Developer is expected to utilize various data extraction and manipulation tools to interact with ERP and other business applications to extract data for transformation and to support data migration work for ERP projects & day-to-day business support. The ETL Developer is expected to be technically competent in scripting, and programming with knowledge of SQL, Data structure, and processes.
Job Responsibilities:

ETL developers are responsible for designing and creating the data staging area and all related extraction, transformation and load of data functions in Emerson. After the groundwork has been laid, developers also must test their designs to ensure the system runs smoothly. Furthermore, developers must be experts at taking a big-picture view of a Emerson’s data situation – data modeling. This means developers need to be able to read, analyze and digest what Emerson wants to accomplish with its data, and design the best possible ETL process around those goals.
