Job Description:

We are looking for a Developer in BDGS SA BSS UNIT who have deep understanding of Linux OS/kernel internals and their interaction with hardware platform stack – Bare metal, Virtualization (Vmware, ESXi, KVM-Openstack), Cloud, Containers (including memory management, resource management, CPU scheduling, device drivers, security vulnerabilities) . Who likes to closely work with DevOps deployment tools (Jenkins, SUF, Ansible etc.) to automate the end to end install/upgrade scenarios by integrating various different components into an overall architecture so that they can be packaged, deployed, and run most efficiently part of the continuous test runs & on production environments.

Job Responsibilities:-

• Develop and Test High Quality deployment procedures & strategy for Telecom Products, for Live production environment
• Perform scripting activities to automate product installation and test activities
• Perform Trouble Shooting and Support
• Drive Continuous Improvements of Products and Processes
• Coding and test (CUT) using the defined technologies.
• Generate detailed test cases and unit testing
• Testing (for own code and for Function testing)
• Adhere and follow all the design processes laid down by the unit where design project is undertaken. The processes are such as Agile development, Test driven development, peer reviews, risk-based testing, pair programming etc.
• Fix trouble reports (TRs) or bugs
• Documentation related to R&D project activities (like QSMs, Technical Evaluation report, Modeling, Test specs, Review docs etc.)
• Participate in peer reviews and other inspection activities.

Skills Required:

• Working experience of Dockers
• Experience building and implementing Kubernetes infrastructure on different platforms like Bare metal servers, VMWare, Openstack, Node installations, etc – YAML files, persistent volumes, flannel/calico/Multus virtual network plugins, Services, upgrade strategies.
• Image creation and maintenance, Docker files, Helm Charts.
• experience in migrating monolithic apps to k8s, any experience with microservices, DevOps.
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible
• Strong Red Hat Linux administration & advanced knowledge (Gluster solutions etc) – Certification preferred.
• Strong Virtualization skills – Vmware / ESXi / KVM etc
• Intermediate knowledge on Red Hat Openstack deployment
• Expereince with Shell or Perl/Python scripting.
• Experience of working with solutions such as VCS, Xen, etc
• Knowledge of common 3PP’s like Oracle DB,, java installations on Solaris/Linux.
• Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS/Timesten In-Memory database/Cassandra DB/Postgres DB.
• Optional: EMC Storage Admin (EMC Clariion AX series, CX series, VNX series).
