Vizag Steel Recruitment Selection Process:
- A computer-based test would be used in the selection process (CBT). The test will last 120 minutes, or two hours, and will include both aptitude and technical components.
- The computer-based test will consist of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with four possibilities and only one right answer. The candidate must select the correct option.
- Vizag Steel, also known as Rastriya Ispat Nigam Ltd, is a government-owned steel producer situated in Visakhapatnam, India. It is owned by the Government of India’s Ministry of Steel.
- The Computer Based Test will be structured as follows: General Knowledge, Working English, and General Aptitude (Arithmetic, Reasoning, Data Interpretation, and so on) (Segment I): 75 questions Technical (Segment II): Each trade has 75 questions based on the ITI Trade Syllabus (Govt. prescribed).
- The questions will be bilingual (in English and Telugu), with the exception of the Knowledge in English questions, which will be entirely in English.
- The final decision on whether or not to hire apprentices will be based on the results of a computer-based test. In each segment, the cut off will be 50 percentile for unreserved and EWS candidates, and 40 percentile for SC, ST, OBC, and PWD candidates.
- Candidates will be offered apprenticeships in the order of merit, both in terms of category and trade. In the event of a tie for final shortlisting for engagement, the candidate with the greater age advantage will be given priority in the merit list.
