KCP started as a small cooperative sugar plant in 1941 by its founder Sri. V. Ramakrishna; it has over the years expanded rapidly inspired by the leadership of its founder into areas like Heavy Engineering (1955), Cement (1958), Power (1998) and Hospitality (2016).
