How to Apply

The candidate can apply through various methods – Online, Download or purchase through SRM University centers.

Before heading towards applying, the candidates should ensure they have following things at hand.

  • Signature: You need to put your signature on a white paper with using black pen. Please ensure that size of the image should be 200 KB.
  • Photograph: Candidates must put recently taken photograph with a file size of 200 KB.

Online

  • Step 1: To apply online, the candidate should head to the official website of SRM University – http://www.srmuniv.ac.in. You need to then enter your name, email ID, mobile number,etc. Once registered, you would receive the username and password through email.
  • Step 2: Using the login details, you need to login on the website again to complete the application form.
  • Step 3: You need to Put your preferences of university’campuses. You can put maximum three preferences for SRM University Chennai and two for SRM University Haryana.
  • Step 4: Candidates will have to book their slots and exam city.
  • Step 5: Once the exam city is booked, the candidates need to fill up your personal, educational details. After providing personal and educational info, candidates need to put their communication address. You need to enter your particulars like Program Choice, Exam & Personal Details and the postal Address for Communication.
  • Step 6: If you have appeared for GATE or TANCET, and want to use the score, then you are upload them.
  • Step 7: Upload your photograph and signature.
  • Step 8: Proceed to make payments online

Exam Cities

SRMGEET Test Centres are selected from a list of 50 cities, so you should choose the centre astutely.

Exam Pattern

The time duration of exam will be 150 minutes. The SRMGEET Exam 2017 Paper format will be in MCQs.

The question paper will be of 12 sections for various disciplines.

Total 300 marks paper will be judged. Each correct answer will be awarded 2 marks each. Provision of Negative Marking, 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Candidates are required to answer only one section for their branch. Each section will have 100 questions.

Admit Card / Hall Ticket

The admit card should be downloaded from official website. The candidate should verify all the information in the admit card. If any issue is found, then get it corrected with the concerned authority.

The candidates are required to carry the admit card to the examination hall. No one would be allowed to appear for the test without a valid hall ticket. It is also very important to document for the further admission processes. It needs to be well-looked-after and produced at the time of counselling and admission.

Selection Process

The candidates are selected for M.Tech admissions on the basis of SRMGEET Exam 2017 conducted by SRM University.

Note: The candidates with a valid score in GATE, TANCET are eligible to apply for the admission.

Results

Results of SRMGEET will be announced in the month of May 2017, and counseling will start thereafter. The merial list will be uploaded on the official website.

Counselling Process

Candidates must attend the SRMGEET Counselling 2017 alongwith their original documents for verification. Candidates can specify their seat preferences after document verification. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

The candidate should have passed 10+2 exam conducted by a Central or State Board recognized by the Association of Indian Universities with 60% marks in aggregate. Candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwD categories
must secure a minimum of 55% in aggregate.

Age

The candidate should be 25 years of age on October 1st in the examination year. In the case of SC, ST and PwD candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years.

Physical Fitness

Every qualified candidate will have to submit a Physical Fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner in the prescribed format that will be made available along with the letter of offer of admission. Candidates will be admitted only if they are physically fit for pursuing a course of study at the Institute.

Application Fee

The cost of application fee is Rs 2000/- for General / OBC Male candidates. The application fee is Rs 1000 for SC / ST / PwD and female candidates.

The service charges of the Bank will be Rs.30/-. The examination fee must be paid either through Net Banking / Credit Card / Debit Card or through the Indian Bank Challan generated during the process of application.

How to Apply

The application to HSEE is through online mode only.

  1. To register for HSEE, the candidate should log in to the site http://hsee.iitm.ac.in and select from the menu “Apply Online” and follow the instructions on the site.
  2. Once prompted, upload scanned (i) Photograph, (ii) Signatures and (iii) Supporting Documents.
  3. After successfully entering the data, click the ‘finalize’ button. After this, the details cannot be
    edited.

Candidates must pay the examination fee as applicable is through Net Banking / Credit Card / Debit Card / Indian Bank Challan that will be generated during the process of application.

The Completed application form has to be submitted online only, along with the scanned photograph, signature, copies of relevant certificates and payment details of examination fee either through offline mode (system generated Indian Bank challan) or through online modes (net banking / credit cards / debit cards), on or before January 25, 2017.

Exam Pattern

The exam paper will be in English language only. The exam duration is of three hours.

The exam paper contains two parts:

Part 1

Part I consists of objective type multiple choice questions for 2½ hours duration (150 Minutes), administered
through computer.

Part I covers the following topics:
(i) English and Comprehension Skill;
(ii) Analytical and Quantitative Ability;
(iii) General Studies covering the areas of Indian Economics (since Independence), Indian Society, Contemporary World Affairs (post-World War II); and
(iv) Environment and Ecology.

Part II

Part II involves essay writing for 30 Minutes to be written on answer sheet distributed to the candidates at the end of Part I.

Part II requires the candidate to write an essay on general topic involving description, or/and
reflection or/and discussion.

Admit Card / Hall Ticket

The admit card will be available for download from the second week of March 2017 till mid-April 2017. The Admit Card will bear the name, photograph, date of birth, address and category of the candidate along with the name and the address of the HSEE Centre allotted.

The candidate should verify all the information in the admit card. If any issue is found, then get it corrected with the concerned authority. Candidates have to carefully preserve their Admit Cards till the entire admission procedure through HSEE is completed.

University of Mysore Post Graduate Entrance Examination (UOM PGEE)

University of Mysore Post Graduate Entrance Examination (UOM PGEE)

University of Mysore Post Graduate Entrance Examination (UOM PGEE) Compulsory for all Post Graduate Degree courses for all candidates except for Foreign Nationals with Foreign Degree. Candidates have to apply and appear for entrance exam separately for separate courses, except M.B.A., M.C.A., M.Tech (CCT) and M.Tech (CST) for which candidates have to contact Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). University of Mysore (UOM) has invites applications online, through its online admissions portal from eligible candidates for various Post Graduate programmes in Arts, Commerce, Law, Education and Science. The University will select students through a written test, UOM will centrally process PG admissions for PG programs through this online portal for its four campuses at Manasagangothri, Mandya, Hassan and Chamarajanagar and for PG programs of affiliated colleges. The application fee can now be paid online. The application for PG entrance examination can also be submitted online through the PG Admissions Portal.

Entrance Examination will be conducted for admission to all P.G.Programms. Admission shall be made on the basis of the merit list prepared by taking into consideration 50% of the aggregate marks obtained in the relevant subjects at qualifying Degree Examination (all three years), and 50% of marks obtained in the Entrance Examination.

How to fill Registration Form

– After successful registration, you will receive your unique PGEE ID and Password on your registered Email and/or Mobile Number which should be used by you to complete your Online Application. Subsequent to receipt of your PGEE ID and Password, you will not be able to edit the Name, Email Id and Mobile Number in the Online Application. Candidates are hence requested to fill in the online application form with the utmost care as no correspondence regarding change of details will be entertained.

Step 1: Candidates are first required to go to the UoM website http://www.uni-mysore.ac.in/ and click on the link “Online Application for Post Graduate Entrance Examination ”

Step 2: You will be directed to the “Main Page” of the Post Graduate Entrance Examination. Make a note of the Important Dates and Eligibility Criteria.

Step 3: If you are a first-time user, you will have to first register by clicking on the link provided for the Registration. Complete your Registration by filling in your Name, Email id and Mobile number, correctly. On successful Registration, you will receive your PGEE ID and Password on your registered Email and/or on your Mobile No.

Step 4: If you have received your PGEE ID and Password, then Login from the “Main Page” of the Post Graduate Entrance Examination – 2017 by using the PGEE ID and Password received by you. After, logging in with your PGEE ID and Password, you can:

  • View the Online Application
  • Edit to Fill your Online Application (except some fields) by clicking on the “Edit” button
  • Upload the mandatory documents like scanned photograph, signature and disability certificate (if applicable).
  • Submit your Online Application

– Fill your (a) Personal Details (b) UG Degree details (c) Examination Details and (d) Declaration & Submission of the Online Application Form. You will also require uploading your recent photograph, signature and disability certificate (if applicable) as JPEG files.

Step 5: The payment of the corresponding fee shall also be ON-LINE / E-Payment only with SBI or SBM.

Step 6: After filling in all your mandatory details, click on “Preview Application” to view your filled application and verify the details entered by you.

This is also one last chance for you to edit the information in your application except you will not be able to edit your Name, Email and Mobile Number. Click on the “Submit” button to save all the details entered in your application.

Step 7: On the “Main Page” of “Post Graduate Entrance Examination – 2017”, log in using the PGEE ID and Password which you received on your E-Mail/Mobile and take a printout of your submitted application. Keep a copy of the submitted application for your reference and safe keep. You will need to carry this copy during counselling.

Eligibility Criteria

– Applications are invited from students who expect to complete their M.Sc., Integrated M.Sc., B.Sc., or B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. degrees by July 2017 with 55% marks or more.

– Students in any branch of the B.E., B.Tech., M.E. or M.Tech. degrees, or in the Physics, Electronics, Astronomy or Applied Mathematics branches of the B.Sc. or M.Sc. degrees, are eligible to apply for INAT-2016.

– Students who have already completed any of the above degrees are also eligible.

– In addition, talented final-year B.Sc., 1st year M.Sc., 4th year Integrated M.Sc. and 2nd/3rd year B.E./B.Tech. students may also apply to be pre-selected for the Ph.D. programme at IUCAA.

– Students who complete their M.Sc./Integrated M.Sc./M.E./M.Tech. degrees by July 2017 will be eligible for selection to the Ph.D. programme of both IUCAA and NCRA-TIFR. Students who complete their B.E./B.Tech. degrees by July 2017 are eligible for selection to the Ph.D. programme at IUCAA and to the Integrated Ph.D. programme at NCRA-TIFR (except for Engineering Physics students, who will be eligible for selection to the Ph.D. programme at NCRA-TIFR). Students who complete their B.Sc. degrees by July 2017 will be eligible for selection to the Integrated Ph.D. programme at NCRA-TIFR and for pre-selection to the Ph.D. programme at IUCAA.

Selection Procedure

IUCAA is looking for highly motivated students with a consistently good academic record. While we strongly encourage students from engineering backgrounds to apply for INAT-2016, we emphasize that we are looking for students who are interested in carrying out doctoral research in Physics, or Astronomy and Astrophysics. We hence expect prospective candidates to have a good understanding of basic Physics.

How to Apply

There are TWO steps in the application procedure. Candidates must first register by entering their name and valid e-mail address in the appropriate registration boxes below.

– An application password will then be automatically sent to the candidates’ e-mail address; the e-mail address and the password must be entered in order to fill out the Online Application Form.

– The Application Form also requires the names and e-mail addresses of two referees. When the form is submitted, the candidate will receive an e-mail containing his/her Online ID, an account password, and confirmation that s/he has applied for INAT-2016. E-mails will also be automatically sent to the two referees, requesting them to fill and submit the online Confidential Assessment Form. The candidates should inform their referees about the Assessment Form.

– Note that each applicant must submit his/her Application Form before the referee fills the Assessment Form. Please e-mail The Co-ordinator at inat@iucaa.in in case of any problems with the online forms.

– Based on the applications and referee assessments, a subset of the candidates will be short-listed and invited to take the written test, to be held in Pune on Thursday, December 8, 2016.

Paper Pattern

The test will be of TWO hours duration. The question paper will have two parts, A and B.

– Part A will contain twenty objective-type questions on basic Mathematics, Physics and Electronics.

– Part B will contain another twenty objective-type questions from advanced Physics, Mathematics and Electronics/Engineering.

For each question, candidates will have to identify and mark the correct answer from the given four answers.

– For a correct answer, there will be +3 (plus three) marks, and for a wrong answer, there will be -1 (minus one) mark. Based on their performance in the written test, a limited number of candidates will be invited for two interviews, which will be conducted on December 8 and/or 9, 2016.

– The final selection will be based on the scores in the written test and interviews. Candidates selected by either IUCAA or NCRA-TIFR are expected to join in August 2017 (except for pre-selected candidates), after satisfactory completion of their qualifying examination.

Cutoff

Candidates have who score more than cut off Marks would feature in the merit list. Candidates names included in the merit list will be called for counselling rounds. Candidates can check previous years cut off marks to get an idea of Cut off for the current year as cut off will be declared after the declaration of Result.

Results

INAT Entrance Result has been declared by IUCAA, Pune in the online mode. The candidates are also advised to download the Rank Cards from the website after publication of results.

Eligibility Criteria
    1. An applicant who has passed or appeared in any stream of the Intermediate examination conducted by the U.P. Board/C.B.S.E./I.S.C. or an examination equivalent thereto is eligible to apply for the UndergraduateAdmission Tests for B.A., B.F.A., B.P. A.
    2. An applicant who has passed or appeared at the above examination with Science Group is eligible to apply for the Undergraduate Admission Test for B.Sc. (Maths & Biology group respectively).
    3. Only such female applicants who have passed or appeared at the above examination either with(a) Science Group, or(b) With any other Group having Home Science as one of the subjects after having passed the High School (or equivalent) examination with Science Group are eligible to apply for the Undergraduate Admission Test for B.Sc. (Home Science).
    4. The candidate who has passed or appeared in the above examination with Commerce stream or Science stream will be eligible for admission to B.Com.
    5. For BA (Music)/B. P. A. application forms of only those candidates would be considered who have Music as one of the subjects at Intermediate level or they have passed an equivalent examination in Music from a recognised Institution.
    6. For B.F.A, the candidate must not be more than 22 years old as on 1st July, 2017.

How to Apply

– Candidates fill the application from below Procedure
– Online Mode Interested candidates may apply online for the entrance test. Another mode will not be accepted candidates may apply for the entrance test from the university website. Candidates fill the application correctly and complete. Online application starts from April 2017 to May 2017. Candidates have to upload scanned signature and scanned photo on the application form and submit the online application.

Syllabus

Test Syllabus

The Admission Test will be of two hours duration. Every candidate has to answer 150

questions from multiple choice questions. For every correct answer, 04 marks will be awarded

and for every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.

A. B.A. Admission Test (Intermediate standard)

      1. English or Hindi (Language and Literature)(Select any one) 25 Questions
      2. General Awareness 25 Questions
      3. General Mental Ability Test 25 Questions
      4. Knowledge Test 75 QuestionsOut of seven subjects, namely Civics, Economics, Geography, History, Logic, Sanskrit, and Urdu each subject will have 25 questions of intermediate level. The candidate will have to opt any three subjects from amongst these and shall answer all the questions from the three subjects so opted.

B. B.Sc. Admission Test- (Intermediate standard)

Common to B.Sc. (Biology), B.Sc. (Mathematics), B.Sc. (Home Science), B.Sc. (Bio) + B.Sc.

(Home Sc.), B.Sc. (Maths) + B.Sc. (Home Sc.).

      1. General English or General Hindi (Select anyone) 20 Questions
      2. General Awareness 10 Questions
      3. Science Group (Intermediate level) 120 QuestionsThere will be 40 questions in each of the following four subjects: 1. Physics, 2. Chemistry, 3. Mathematics and 4. Biology. Candidates of maths stream have to select 120 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and that of Biology stream have to select 120 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology. There will not be any separate test for BSc (Home Science). However, the applicants in B. Sc. (Math) and B. Sc. (Bio) may also opt for BSc (Home Science) and they will be selected based on their merit.

C. B. Com. Admission Test (Intermediate standard)

      1. General English or General Hindi (Select any one) 20 Questions
      2. General Awareness 10 Questions
      3. Commerce (Intermediate level) 120 Questions

D. B.F.A. Admission Test (Intermediate Level)

      1. The Duration of the course leading to the degree of B.F.A shall be of four academic years.
      2. Admission to B.F.A. (Bachelor of Fine Art) Four year Degree course shall be made on the basis of the result of an Entrance Test. Provided that a Candidate for admission must have passed the Intermediate Examination of UP Board of Secondary Education, Allahabad or any other examination recognized by the University of Allahabad equivalent thereto, and is not of more than 22 years of age by June 30, 2017 shall be eligible to apply for admission to the BFA Course.
      3. The intake capacity in the first year class is 61.
      4. The admissions shall be made on the basis of merit in the entrance test. (Theory; conducted by the University of Allahabad and Practical; Department of Visual Arts) The applicant shall also be required to appear in both practical, & written tests, containing 450 marks.
      5. Theory Test: (75 Multiple Choice Objective questions on general awareness) Time : 60 minutes, Maximum Marks :150
      6. Practical Test:A. Objective Drawing with light and shade (in any medium)Time :90 minutes, Maximum Marks :150B. Memory Drawing (in any medium )

E. Bachlor in Performing Arts (B.P.A.) Admission Test (Intermediate Level)

The paper will consist of 150 multiple choice objective questions of 4 marks each. For each correct answer, 04 marks will be awarded and 01 will be deducted for every wrong answer. The questions will be based on Music (Vocal, Sitar, Tabla) of Intermediate level. The duration of the test will be 120 minutes

Counselling

Conseling and Admission Process

      1. Admission will be made from the Last week of June 2017 by the process of ‘Counseling’. The details of information regarding the counseling will be published in local newspapers, and will also available on the website www.allduniv.ac.in and no inquiries in this regard will be entertained.
      2. The purpose of ‘Counseling is to help provide information regarding the availability of seats in accordance to the merit.
      3. The Counselling and admission will be done separately and simultaneously in University and it’s constituent colleges.
      4. The candidate will be required to present themselves in person for the Counseling and admission/allotment of subjects combination on the date, time and place already announced. If the candidate does not turn upon such date/time along with the required documents, he/she will forfeit his/her claim of admission to the particular course/combination of subject and the candidate next in merit will be accommodated against such set/combination of subjects.
