B.S. Abdur Rahman University (BSARU), Chennai conducts B.S. Abdur Engineering Entrance Examination (BSAUEEE) on an all India basis for admissions to 4 years Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) offered in various disciplines and 5 years Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) programs. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

For B.Tech Programs:

You should have passed 12th standard examination conducted by state board/ CBSE/ ICSE or equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. For Biotechnology programs, minimum 50% aggregate in Mathematics / Biology, Physics and Chemistry. Students appearing for 10+2 examination are eligible to apply.

For B.Arch Program:

You should have passed 12th standard or equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks with Mathematics and English as subjects of study. You should have passed National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA). Students appearing for 10+2 examination are eligible to apply.

Age Limit

The minimum age of the candidate to apply is 17 years and the maximum age for applying the entrance exam is 22 years.

The application fees for BSAUEEE is Rs 600/- for everyone.

Admit Card / Hall Ticket

The admit card will be available for download in May 2017. The candidates can login using the credentials, and then download and print it. The candidate should verify all the information in the admit card. If any issue is found, then get it corrected with the concerned authority.

The candidates are required to carry the admit card to the examination hall. Without it, you will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.

Selection Procedure

Candidate for the admission in the in B.Tech Course is going to make in two different streams. Their selections to BSAUEEE 2017 is done as follows.

Stream 1:

Candidate will the get the admission is on the basis of the merit list of the entrance exam and for eligible yourself, for the counselling you have to secure 50% marks in the exam and there are 50% seats for the candidates of BSAUEEE.

Stream 2:

Candidate will get the admission of the 50% remaining seats on the basis of the rank of JEE (Main).

Results

The result of BSAUEEE 2017 will be announced in the month of May 2017. The merit list will be displayed on the website. The candidates will be informed about the results through their registered email address. Students will be called for counselling having good marks in the BSAUEEE 2017.

Counselling

The counselling process will start as soon as the merit list is announced. This will be in the month of May 2017.

At the time of counselling, students have to come with the 10th and 12th Mark sheet, 10th and 12th Passing certificate, BSAUEEE 2017 Admit Card, Caste Certificate, Counselling Call Letter for the counselling. These documents are mandatory for the counselling process.

Students will not be allowed for the counselling process without these certificates.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board was formed in the year 1962 for the purpose of holding Common Entrance Examinations for admission to the Undergraduate Level Engineering Courses in the State of West Bengal. The endeavour of the Board has always been directed towards enhancement of transparency in conducting Common Entrance Examinations for various Undergraduate and Postgraduate level courses in the State through effective state-of-the-art technology.

The candidate has to provide information like Board, year of passing, marks scored, name and address of the institution etc. The system will automatically check his/her eligibility for the subject(s) chosen.
Candidates appearing for PUMDET may, however, fill up the available information and proceed to the next step.

Uploading scanned documents: In this sub-section, the candidate will be asked to upload the following documents in the formats specified below.

Declaration and confirmation: In this sub-section, the candidate has to agree to a statutory declaration, without which his/her application stands incomplete. Upon successful completion of the application, the system will generate a confirmation page congaing all the details entered by the candidate. The candidate needs to preserve a print out of this page till admission.

Application Fee

Candidate will have to pay the examination fee either online (by net banking, debit/credit cards) or offline (by e-challan). If offline mode is chosen, an e-challan will be generated automatically. Candidate needs to take a print of the challan and pay the fee in any branch of Allahabad Bank.

– The fee amount is Rs. 350/- + Rs. 10 as bank charges for both PUBDET examinations

Exam Cities

– The examination will be conducted in various zones e.g. Kolkata, Howrah, Hooghly, Kalyani, Murshidabad, Bankura, Haldia, Asansol, Burdwan, Durgapur, Siliguri, Jamshedpur, Guwahati, Silchar and Agartala.

– Any of the examination centres may be dropped if an adequate number of candidates is not available.

– The applicants opting for such centre(s) will be allotted seats to the nearest location of his/her choice.

– The allotment of examination centre is fully at the discretion of the Board. Allotment made by the Board is final and no request for changing the zone/centre of examination will be entertained under any circumstances.

Admit Card / Hall Ticket

The candidate should verify all the information in the admit card. If any issue is found, then get it corrected with the concerned authority.

– The candidates are required to carry the admit card to the examination hall. Without it, you will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. It is also very important to document for the further admission processes.

– Candidates must ensure that the admit card is not mutilated/ distorted/ soiled even by accident. Candidates with such mutilated/ distorted/ soiled admit cards will not be allowed to appear in PUBDET.

– Candidates are advised to retain their admit cards carefully in secured place in undamaged condition in all respects till completion of admission procedure.

Results

The Board will publish the merit list in its website: www.wbjeeb.in and final allotment of seats will be made through counselling to be conducted by the WBJEEB. The Board neither publishes nor communicates the result to any individual applicant. It does not have any provision for post-publication scrutiny or review and hence such requests will not be entertained.

Merit list for PUBDET will be prepared as outlined before. In case of ties it will be broken by sequentially applying the following set of rules:
1. The first criterion will be on higher admission test marks.
2. The second criterion will be on the least negative mark obtained by the candidate in the MCQ test excepting Hindi and Political Science. For these two subjects, the marks obtained at the 10+2 level will be considered as the criterion for separation.

– Candidates, who have appeared or are appearing for the final B.A./B.Sc. Examination at the time of admission, but do not have their final results, may seek provisional admission, on the basis of marks obtained up to the previous parts of their Bachelor’s examination. If selected, they must submit their final mark sheet by 31st August, demonstrating that they fulfil the minimum condition of eligibility, failing which their candidature will be cancelled.

Uploading scanned documents: In this sub-section, the candidate will be asked to upload the following documents in the formats specified below.

Recent passport sized coloured photograph of the candidate storage size : Up to 200 KB (.JPEG/.JPG)
Full signature of the candidate storage size : Up to 200 KB (.JPEG/.JPG)
Age proof (Admit Card of 10th standard examination) or birth certificate. storage size : Up to 200 KB (.JPEG/.JPG)
Mark sheet/grade card of XII standard (for PUMDET) storage size : Up to 200 KB (.JPEG/.JPG)

Declaration and confirmation: In this sub-section, the candidate has to agree to a statutory declaration, without which his/her application stands incomplete. Upon successful completion of the application, the system will generate a confirmation page congaing all the details entered by the candidate. The candidate needs to preserve a print out of this page till admission.

Application Fee

Candidate will have to pay the examination fee either online (by net banking, debit/credit cards) or offline (by e-challan). If offline mode is chosen, an e-challan will be generated automatically. Candidate needs to take a print of the challan and pay the fee in any branch of Allahabad Bank.

– The fee amount is Rs. 350/- + Rs. 10 as bank charges for both PUMDET examinations

Exam Cities

– The examination will be conducted in various zones e.g. Kolkata, Howrah, Hooghly, Kalyani, Murshidabad, Bankura, Haldia, Asansol, Burdwan, Durgapur, Siliguri, Jamshedpur, Guwahati, Silchar and Agartala.

– Any of the examination centres may be dropped if an adequate number of candidates is not available.

– The applicants opting for such centre(s) will be allotted seats to the nearest location of his/her choice.

– The allotment of examination centre is fully at the discretion of the Board. Allotment made by the Board is final and no request for changing the zone/centre of examination will be entertained under any circumstances.

Paper Pattern

* The MCQ test will be a qualifying test. Papers of the written test will be evaluated for only those candidates, who qualify in the MCQ test. Scripts of written examination will be evaluated for a maximum number of 10 times the total seat capacity with bunching effect. Marks of MCQ test will not be considered for preparation of the merit list.
– MCQ means Multiple Choice Questions.
– All multiple choice questions will have four answer options; only one of them being correct.
– Correct response will fetch full marks
– No response will fetch zero marks.
– Wrong response or multiple responses will fetch negative one-fourth (- ¼ the) of the full mark (for example if full mark for the question is 2 then it will fetch -½).

Admit Card / Hall Ticket

The candidate should verify all the information in the admit card. If any issue is found, then get it corrected with the concerned authority.

– The candidates are required to carry the admit card to the examination hall. Without it, you will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. It is also very important to document for the further admission processes.

– Candidates must ensure that the admit card is not mutilated/ distorted/ soiled even by accident. Candidates with such mutilated/ distorted/ soiled admit cards will not be allowed to appear in PUMDET.

– Candidates are advised to retain their admit cards carefully in secured place in undamaged condition in all respects till completion of admission procedure.

Results

The Board will publish the merit list in its website: www.wbjeeb.in and final allotment of seats will be made through counselling to be conducted by the WBJEEB. The Board neither publishes nor communicates the result to any individual applicant. It does not have any provision for post-publication scrutiny or review and hence such requests will not be entertained.

1. Higher marks obtained at the honours level (either the percentage of marks or the
percentage equivalent after grade point conversion)
2. Higher combined percentage of marks obtained in honours and subsidiary/ Pass/ Extra-departmental subjects.

JEEDEC 2017 Exam Dates, Application Form, Eligibility Criteria

West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination/Test titled “JEEDEC” for admission to Five years evening courses for Bachelor Degree in Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering for the academic year 2017- 18 in Jadavpur University.

Eligibility Criteria

– Must be a citizen of India.
– Must have passed Diploma Examination from UGC recognised Indian University / Government / Statutory Body in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with at least 60% marks or equivalent Grade Point (at least 45% marks or equivalent Grade Point for SC/ST/PWD)
– Must have at least one-year relevant experience in the respective field since publication of his/her Diploma examination result till the last date of submission of application forms.
– If selected for admission, must obtain „No Objection Certificate‟ for the course of study from his/her employer.
– There is no age limit.

Seats Available

28 seats for General, 9 for SC, 2 for ST and 1 for Pwd candidates are available in each course.
It should be noted that a diploma holder will be admitted to evening Degree course in Engineering in respect of the discipline for which Diploma is awarded.

– As per Government of India Reservation policy.

How to Apply

– Application has to be filled up ONLINE at the portal: www.wbjeeb.in

– The candidate needs to visit the portal and follow the links – – . The form is interactive in nature. There are four steps in application form submission as follows:

Step – 1. Registration:

The candidate has to input name, date of birth, gender, e-mail id and mobile number. Candidate must take utmost care to give these inputs. If mistakes are committed there is no chance of correction. The given mobile number and e-mail id will be used for all further communication.
At the end of this step, the candidate may opt to log out or continue to next step. For further login, the candidate has to use his/her application number and date of birth.

Step – 2. Application Form:

In this step, the candidate has to enter his/her personal and academic information and also two choices of examination centre. The fields mark with (*) are mandatory fields, i.e. mandatory to be filled in.

Step – 3 Image Upload:

At this step, the candidate has to upload scanned copies of his/her photograph, signature and Admit Card / Mark sheet of 10th standard as age proof.

Step – 4: Payment and Confirmation

The candidate has to take a print out of the e-challan for payment of fees of Rs. 510/- (Application fee = Rs. 500/- and Bank Charges = Rs. 10/-). Carry the e-challan to any branch of Allahabad Bank and make payment.

After making the payment, the candidate has to login again and enter relevant payment details. At the end of these four steps candidate will “SUBMIT” finally, when the system will automatically generate a confirmation page. The candidate needs to download, take a printout and preserve
this confirmation page.

Paper Pattern

– There will be separate question papers for Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering candidates.

– The paper will contain 100 MCQ type questions. Answers are to be marked (bubbled) on OMR Answer Sheets using black /blue ball point pen.

– Each question will have four answer options of which only one is correct.

– Each correct response will fetch 1 mark, each incorrect response will fetch (-1/4) mark, whereas no response will fetch zero marks.

– Multiple responses for any question will fetch (-1/4) mark. The questions will be in English language only.
