Eligibility Criteria

Exam Pattern
Each paper shall be of 2(two) hours duration and shall contain 100 multiple choice questions each carrying one mark. Total marks for each paper shall be 100. There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers. There shall be no marks, in case, the candidate selects more than one option in the answer sheet. Option once marked cannot be changed and erased.

PPMET 2016 Counselling
The PPMET 2016 Counselling will be held through online mode only. The last date for submission of online admission application form and filling of preferences of colleges/ category /quota is 9th August 2016.
The successful PPMET 2016 candidates can then fillup the online admission application form along with their preferences of colleges / category / quota. The direct link for Counseling Registration has been provided below.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidate should have passed qualifying examination as under:
The higher secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum 45% (40% for SC/ST/BC) marks in PCB after the introduction of the 10+2+3 years education structure as recommended by the National Committee of Education. English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible;
OR
Any other examination which, in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the Intermediate Science examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology including a practical test in each of these subjects with minimum 45% (40% for SC/ST/BC) marks in PCB. English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible.
In case candidate has also taken up Mathematics along with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English then the marks obtained in Mathematics shall not be considered for admission to B.Sc Nursing Courses.
The candidate should be bonafide resident of Punjab. The Resident status of the Punjab State, will be taken in terms of Punjab Government, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (PP II Branch) letter No. 1/3/95-3 PP II/9619, dated 6th June, 1996, ID No. 1/2/96-3PP-2/8976, dated 7th July, 1998 and ID No. letter No.1/3/95-3PP II/81, dated 1st January 1999 and further instructions issued by the Department, if any, from time to time, and the same, shall be adhered to in letter and spirits in PPMET.
Candidate should have passed in the subjects of PCB and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks (for SC/ST 40%) taken together in PCB at the qualifying examination i.e. (10+2). (The eligibility is as per INC letter No. 1-6/2015-INC dated 21.09.2015.
50% of the total seats in private institutions shall constitute the Management Quota including 15% of the total seats for Foreign Indian Students (NRI candidates).
Age Limit:
The applying Candidate must have completed the age of 17 years, on or before 31st December of the corresponding year.

How to Apply
Before applying, candidate should carefully read PROSPECTUS for eligibility conditions and other important instructions. For admission into B.Sc Nursing candidates have to fill the online application from the official website bfuhs.ac.in on or before the last date of application. Candidates are advised must ensure their eligibility and other conditions before filling the online application.
Exam Pattern
The Test shall have one paper consisting of questions in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology). The duration of test will be three hours from 11.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. which includes the time consumed in signatures, thumb impressions, photography and other security measures.
There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. However, for security reasons fifth oval (i.e. E) has been introduced. In all un-attempted questions fifth oval must be darkened otherwise if all ovals are left blank then that question shall carry one negative mark. Hence it is in the interest of the candidate not to leave all ovals blank in any question and one oval has to be shaded out of the five.
There will be 200 Multiple Choice Questions (50 each of Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology). Each question will carry four marks, thus total marks will be 800.
The questions will be in English. The candidate will be required to find out the correct answer and mark it on the Optical Mark Reader (OMR) Response Sheet by darkening the corresponding oval against the serial number of the question with BLACK FINE TIP BALL PEN ONLY provided by the university at the time of test.

After the introduction of NEET 2016, the admission to MBBS / BDS courses in Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences will be granted on the basis of NEET 2016 Score. Application for PIMS MBBS / BDS Admission 2016 is & available here.
PIMS MBBS / BDS Admission 2016 to undergraduate courses in Medicine (MBBS) and dentistry (BDS) for the academic year 2016-17 in constituent colleges of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed University) will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the AIPMT-2016/NEET- I which was conducted on conducted on 24 July 2016.
Admission Process
– Admission to all MBBS & BDS program will be on the basis of performance in the All India Entrance Test conducted by PIMS University.
– Admissions to all courses offered by University is steered by Admission Committee consisting of experienced persons .
The Admission Committee is responsible for the conduct of the entrance test, declaration of results and merit list, counselling and final admission to the courses.
The AICET (All India Entrance) is conducted at various places in India for selection of candidates for admission to various courses offered by the constituent colleges of PIMS University.

– The candidates who are appearing for qualifying examination i.e. HSC (or equivalent) in February/March of the respective academic year are eligible to appear for the entrance examination, however, they must fulfil the eligibility condition at the time of counselling.
– Candidate belonging to the general category should obtain minimum 50% marks in CET (Common Entrance Test) conducted by this Deemed University. However, admission will be on the basis of merit.

Selection Procedure
– Candidates belonging to general category who secure the minimum of marks at 50 percentile in AIPMT-2016/NEET- I or NEET-II. and satisfy the eligibility norms laid down by respective councils will be eligible for admission to MBBS / BDS Courses.
– Candidates belonging to backwards classes (SC/ST/NT & OBC) who secure the minimum of marks at 40 percentile in AIPMT-2016/NEET- I or NEET-II.and satisfy the eligibility norms laid down by respective councils will be eligible for admission to MBBS / BDS Courses.

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:
=> Only the candidate, who satisfies or is likely to satisfy the following eligibility requirements for admission to the Courses, shall be considered eligible to appear for the AICET-2016

Eligibility Criteria
– Candidates should be Indian nationals.
– Candidates should have pass in 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical vocational subjects as optional with a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.
– A certificate from competent authority stating that the candidate is endorsed as registered pharmacist in the drug license of a pharmacy as proof of practice experience in case of community pharmacist
– A certificate from the Principal/Medical Superintendent/ competent person of the Hospital/Health Unit stating that the candidate is working as a pharmacist will be accepted as proof of practice experience in case of hospital pharmacist.

How to Apply
The candidates are required to apply for MUOET 2017 by visiting the official website. The process is quite simple to understand and easy to follow. Candidates can refer to the information given below to register for MUOET 2017.
– Visit the official website for MUOET 2017.
– Fill in the basic details such as name, gender, email id, contact number and date of birth.
– Select the program you wish to apply for and the stream.
– Provide locations details such as country, state and city and mention your nationality.
– Click on “Submit” to complete the registration process.
– After the registration is complete, the application number along with the login ID and password will be mailed to the candidate’s registered email ID.
– There are five steps in the MUOET 2017 application process. The candidate will have to complete all five steps to finish the application process successfully. The details regarding the steps are given below.
Step 1: Basic Information
– The candidate will have to provide some basic details such as parents’ name and date of birth.
Step 2: Contact Information
– Here, the candidates will have to fill out their address, mobile number and email id.
Step 3: Education Qualification
– The candidate will have to provide the name of their school, qualifying exam, board and year of passing. The candidate will also have to upload scanned copies of his photograph and signature.
– The photograph must be recent and passport sized and taken with a light (preferably white) background. The signature must be signed with a blue / black pen on a white background.
Step 4: Programs and Payment
– Here, the candidate will have to select the course they want to take admission in and make the fee payment.
Step 5: Confirmation
– The candidate must verify all the information provided and press on Submit. The final application form will be produced that the candidate should save and take a print out of.
Application Fee
– The cost of MUOET 2017 application for Indian students is Rs.600 plus an additional cost of Rs.1400 as entrance fee. The candidates can choose to make the payment either through online options or offline. For online fee payment, a candidate can use a credit card / debit card or net banking.
On the other hand, if the candidate chooses to pay the fee offline, he would have to do so by the means of a Demand Draft (DD). The DD must be drawn in favour of “Manipal University” and should be payable at either Udupi or Manipal.

Admit Card / Hall Ticket
The candidate should verify all the information in the admit card. If any issue is found, then get it corrected with the concerned authority.
The candidates are required to carry the admit card to the examination hall. Without it, you will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. It is also very important to document for the further admission processes.
Cutoff
Candidates have who score more than cut off Marks would feature in the merit list. Candidates names included in the merit list will be called for counselling rounds. Candidates can check previous years cut off marks to get an idea of Cut off for the current year as cut off will be declared after the declaration of Result.

The tuition fee of Rs. 17,16,000/- (Rupees seventeen lakhs and sixteen thousand only) for admission into 1st year MBBS program has to be paid at the counselling centre by way of Demand Draft of any scheduled bank drawn in favour of “GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (College Receipts)” payable at Visakhapatnam. The tuition fee also can be paid by mode of RTGS into the account of “GITAM Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (College Receipts)”, Account No. 534302010033501, Union Bank of India, GIMSR branch (IFS Code: UBIN0576131), Visakhapatnam. Please Note that Cash / Cheques are not accepted for payment of the fee.
How to Apply
- All applicants are advised to read the prospectus carefully before filling the online application form.
- While filling the online application, ensure that no column is left blank.
- Incomplete applications are liable for rejection.
- Applications not supported by payment of processing fee are liable for rejection.
- In the event of rejection of the application form, no information will be provided and no correspondence/ request for reconsideration will be entertained (Please refer the application status online).
- Applications received through online on or before 31st August 2017 only will be processed.
Application Procedure
- Prospectus: The candidate is required to go through the prospectus available online carefully before filling the online application form.
- Online Application Form: Candidates seeking admission are required to fill the application form available on university website: www.gitam.edu
- Processing Fee: The processing fee of Rs. 1,000/- for submission of online application is to be paid through Debit Card / Credit Card (Master / VISA). After successful payment, the candidate can download the receipt of the acknowledgement.
- Mode of Communication: The candidate shall furnish the correct address, Email ID and Mobile number in the Application Form. The university will make communication by SMS / Email on given Mobile number / Email ID only. The University will not be responsible for incorrect address, Email ID and Mobile number. Hence while entering the details check properly.
- University fee: The annual tuition fee is Rs. 17,16,000/- (Rupees seventeen lakhs sixteen thousand only). The admitted student should pay the fee in the beginning of every academic year for the entire period. The candidate seeking admission into hostel shall apply and pay the necessary caution deposit, room rentals, incidental charges, establishment and mess charges.
Guidelines & Instructions to the Applicant
- A candidate can apply for admission to MBBS program 2017-18 through online only.
- Online submission of application can be accessed through the university website.
- Download the prospectus and read it carefully to understand the eligibility criteria and other requirements for submission of online application.
- The admission of the candidate is provisional and will be confirmed subject to the approval of the concerned statutory council.
- In case any candidate is found to furnish false information, his/her candidature will be rejected without further information.
- Candidates are advised to register only one application form. If any candidate registers more than one application, his/her candidature will be
rejected.

Counselling
The GMET counselling process includes document verification, option entry, publishing of seat matrix, selection, seat allotment, fee payment and reporting to allotted college. Through counselling, the eligible candidates will be granted admission at Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM), Visakhapatnam.
Counseling for Admission
- The merit list of the candidate for admission into MBBS program will be based on NEET All India Rank obtained in the “NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (NEET)- UG – 2017” subject to the rule of reservation as per UGC guidelines / norms.
- The merit list of the candidates will be displayed on the university website on 1st week of September 2017.
- The Counseling for admission into MBBS program will be held at GITAM University, Visakhapatnam campus on 2nd week of September 2017.

- Commencement of class work is scheduled on 2nd week of September 2017.
Counseling Overview
The candidates called for counselling have to report at the venue one hour before the scheduled time along with the following original documents / certificates.
- Counselling Call Letter issued by GITAM University.
- Proof of Date of Birth –SSC or Equivalent Certificate/Birth Certificate issued by Municipal Corporation / Revenue office indicating name and date of birth of the candidate.
- Pass certificate and Statement of marks of Intermediate / 10+2 examination from a recognised Central / State board.
- NEET (UG) – 2016 All India Rank card (Result copy of CBSE – National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – 2017).
- Transfer and Conduct certificate.
- Integrated Community / Caste certificate in case of SC/ST candidates issued by the competent authority.
- Medical Certificate by the competent authority in case of PH candidates.
- Physical fitness certificate obtained from Govt. Medical Officer not below the rank of Assistant Medical Officer.
- Recent passport size photograph (front pose) 6 copies.
- A Copy of Aadhar Card
- One set of self-attested photocopies of all the certificates.
- It is mandatory for all candidates to be physically present in person one hour before at the venue on the counselling day as mentioned in the call letter. No request for an authorised representative on behalf of the candidate will be entertained. If a candidate fails to come for counselling in person, in time, his/her candidature stands cancelled automatically.
