Job Description:

Micron Technology is looking for Big Data data operations engineers to join our Enterprise Analytics and Data organization’s IT Data Operations Team. In all elements of data, data warehousing, and business intelligence, the Data Operation team collaborates closely with the development team and Micron’s business divisions to support and maintain data assets and Big Data applications and solutions. To join our IT Operations team, we’re searching for people who have experience with Big Data technologies, data warehousing, database development, and ETL development. This position will primarily be responsible for Hadoop, Teradata, SSIS, NiFi, and other Big Data technologies.

Job Duties:

• Support Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence (BI) systems and platforms at the L2 level.
• Participate in the creation of Data Warehouse data models and solutions, as well as their architecture evaluation and deployment.
• Collaborate with business partners and other IT teams to ensure that data solutions are available, that failures are recovered, and that the system runs smoothly.
• Troubleshoot operational issues, escalate escalations, and resolve business partner concerns in a timely way, focusing on business priorities and good teamwork.
• As it pertains to operations, manage knowledge.
• Own and lead the post-mortem for major issues.
• Own and support programmes for continuous improvement in solution and operational health.
• Work on a shift-based rotational schedule to get essential insights into the performance of the Operations team and to operate in an analytic-driven operational environment.
• Ability to learn and use a variety of utilities and tools that aid in the monitoring and alerting of operations
• Participate in condensed knowledge transfer seminars and learn new solutions.
• Participate in the on-call rotation to provide help 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
• Maintain support material such as FAQs, Knowledge Articles, On-Call Guides, and Run Books, among other things.

Job Requirements:-

• 0-3 years of relevant expertise in Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, and Analytics is required.
• 0-3 years of database, Hadoop, Teradata, and other Big Data ETL technologies experience
• Software Engineering background and experience a plus. 0-3 years Linux/Unix administration skills
• Knowledge of Data Vault, Inmon, or Kimball data architecture is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organising skills, as well as an enthusiasm for statistics and information.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, or a closely related discipline is required.
