What is DU JAT 2020?

DU JAT is a national level entrance exam conducted for admission to professional undergraduate programmes offered by 18 colleges affiliated to Delhi University. Like last year, National Testing Agency (NTA) will be hosting DU JAT examination on behalf of the Delhi University. The entrance exam facilitates admissions to the following courses:

• Bachelor of Management Studies BMS
• Bacelor of Business Administration (Financial Investment Analysis)
• BA (Hons) in Business Economics

National Testing Agency has changed the registration dates for DU JAT 2020. As per the latest update, the registration for DU JAT 2020 will commence on April 02 and it is scheduled to end on April 30. Earlier, the regsitration process was scheduled to begin on March 2 and the last date to apply was March 31. The Admit Card release date has also been changed to May 15, 2020. Delhi University has announced the schedule of DU JAT 2020. DU JAT entrance exam is set to be conducted between June 2 and June 9 in multiple slots across 18 Indian cities.
DU JAT 2020 registrations have been postponed by a month. The National Testing Agency (NTA) rescheduled the registration process of DU JAT 2020. . As per the new schedule, the DU JAT application process will begin on April 02 and will end on April 30, 2020. Earlier, the registration process was scheduled from March 02 to March 31. However, the date of DU JAT 2020 exam, which was between June 2 and June 9, remains unchanged.

DU JAT 2020: Important Dates

NTA conducts DU JAT on behalf of Delhi University for admission to BMS, BBA (Financial Investment Analysis) or BA (Hons) Business Economics programmes offered at sixteen colleges affiliated to the varsity. A total of 1268 seats will be filled through the entrance exam in various colleges accepting DU JAT scores. Out of the total seats, 608 seats are for BMS, 510 are for BA (Hons) Business Economics and 150 seats for BBA (FIA) programmes.

DU JAT Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates must have secured at 60% marks [55% for SC/ST/CW/PwD and 54% for OBC (Non-Creamy) categories] in 10+2 or equivalent with English and Mathematics as core subjects
• Applicants with Compartment are not eligible
• There is no minimum age bar for taking the test
• Candidates, who awaiting their class 12 results, can also apply

• Visit the Delhi University’s official website
• Register with basic details like name, contact number, email id
• Use Login Credential to fill DU JAT application form
• Enter personal as well as academic details
• Select Merit-based course
• Select Entrance Exam
• Upload photograph, signature and marksheet
• Preview and submit
• Pay application fees

DU JAT 2020 Application Fees

Candidates can pay the application fee for DU JAT 2020 only through Credit card/Debit card/Net Banking/UPI.

How to fill DU JAT 2020 Application Form

Aspirants can follow the following steps to fill DU JAT application form:

• Valid or active email id and phone number
• Scanned images of photograph and signature
• Self-Attested scanned image of Class 10 board certificate

Steps to fill DU JAT Application Form 2020
Step 1: DU JAT 2020 Registration

• Visit the official website
• Click on the tab ‘New Registration’
• Fill in your basic details correctly like name, security question, password and mobile number
• Agree to the terms and conditions and click on register to proceed
• Registration number and password will be generated and the same will also be sent to candidates registered email ID
• Click on continue to access DU JAT application form

Step 2: Filling Application Form
The application form has 9 parts, the details of each part are explained below.
Personal Details – Fill in the date of birth, gender, Aadhaar Card number, category, family details, address, bank details for refund (if applicable). Some fields like name, mobile number, email ID will be auto-filled.
Academic Details – Candidates need to enter their board of examination, year of passing, result status, class 12 roll number, Hindi language studied upto.
Merit-Based Course – Select do you want to apply for merit-based courses. This field should be filled only if candidates are applying for merit-based courses else select ‘No’ and click Submit.
Entrance based exam – Select yes from the drop down menu and click on the course you want to apply for. Once candidates click on the course, a dropdown will open up for listing your college preference and exam centre preference.
Sports quota, EWS and ECA Category – Select your responses from the dropdown menu and click next to proceed.
Step 3: Uploading of photograph, signature and marksheet
Upload your photograph, signature and mark sheet. The specifications are given below –

• The photograph should be passport size only
• The file size of photograph and signature should be between 20 kb and 50 kb and in .jpg .jpeg formats
• The file size of the self-attested scanned image of Class 10 board certificate should be between 75 kb and 150 kb

Step 4: Preview
Go through each field carefully, before you proceed to payment. Tick on the declaration and proceed for payment.
Step 5: Payment
Candidates need to select the mode of payment. Then, enter their card details and make the payment. They will receive a confirmation via mail.

Important Points Regarding DU JAT Registartion

• The entire registration form is divided into nine tabs (sections/pages) and applicant needs to enter details in each of these sections.
• Applicants to BMS/BA(H)BE/BBA(FIA) are required to fill all the college-course choices. There will be 21 choices for Female Applicants and 17 for the male applicants.
• College-course to which an applicant does not want admission should be marked ‘No Preference’.
• Enter your name as mentioned in class XII Board records
• Please ensure that all the details you enter are correct

Documents Required to Fill DU JAT 2020 Application Form

• Passport size colour photograph of 2-inch x 2 inch (5 mm x 5 mm) size
• Scanned Signature of the applicant
• Self -Attested Class X certificate/marksheet containing Date of Birth
• Self-Attested Class XII Marksheet, if results have been announced
• Self-attested copy of the valid SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD/KM/CW certificates

Note: The applicant will not be able to preview the application and pay the fee without uploading the mandatory documents.
