Indian Institute of Art & Design (IIAD) invites applications for admissions into its courses offered at New Delhi campus for the academic session. Admissions are based on the merit of candidates determined by the performance of applicants in iDAT, Personal Portfolio & Personal Interview. IDAT is a yearly exam conducted for admissions to Bachelor degree programs in Fashion Design, Interior Architecture & Design and Communication Design Courses at Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD), New Delhi.

The iDAT is a mandatory two hour test for all applicants, and will be administered at prescribed testing centres. The IIAD Admission Committee will review each student’s aptitude for observation, drawing and design skills, imaginative and creative expression, and visual and communication strengths. Test papers and answer sheets will be supplied by the IIAD Examination Centre on the day of testing.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed the CBSE/ISC/IB (or any other equivalent board) 10+2 examination in any discipline. Candidates who have recently appeared for the examination and are awaiting their results may also apply for Indian Institute of Art and Design Admission.

Candidates must have an interest in and a flair for art and design. Any additional knowledge or experience in drawing/sketching, model making and visual art forms would be an asset towards your admission.

The IIAD follows a Two-Step evaluation procedure for IIAD admission to its courses. Candidates will have to clear :

  1. The IIAD Design Aptitude Test (iDAT)
  2. A comprehensive interview and portfolio assessment before our panel of art and design professionals

Selection Process

Results

The candidates are required to enter their respective IDAT Roll Number for checking their result and downloading of their scorecard. The result will furnish the rank secured by the candidates. Based on the result of IDAT and the cutoff screening, eligible candidates would be selected for the next round of selection process. The selected candidates would be enlisted in a merit list and will be called for counselling cum allotment on the basis of appearance in the list.

Counselling

Candidates who are qualified in Indian Institute of Art & Design (IIAD) Design Aptitude Test will be called for the counselling process of IDAT.

Eligibility Criteria

Admission BHMS:

  • All those candidates who have passed/appeared (up to the Academic Session 2015-2017) in the 10+2 Examination (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English) of the CBSE, New Delhi or its equivalent Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council shall be eligible to appear in the PU CET (BHMS) Entrance Test – 2017.
  • The admission of candidates for the PU CET (BHMS) 2017 Entrance Test shall be provisional. It shall stand cancelled, if they fail to satisfy the requisite eligibility conditions as required by the concerned institution/University by the date fixed for the purpose.
  • Only Indian Citizens are eligible for admission except in the NRI quota seats.
  • The candidates who have passed 10+2 examination in April 2017 from a recognised board “Body” Council or any other examination recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Panjab University with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.

Admission B. Pharmacy, B.Sc. (Hons. School)

The candidates having compartment in 10+2 examination held in March-2017 will not be eligible for admission in the course. The candidates who do not appear in PU CET (U.G.) Entrance Test or who do not qualify PU – CET (U.G.) Entrance Test shall not be considered for admission.

PU CET 2017 Eligibility:

  • The candidates who have passed/appeared in 10+2 Examinations of Mahila Gram Vidyapith, Allahabad are ineligible to appear in the PU CET (U.G.) Entrance Test, as this institution has been derecognised by Panjab University, Chandigarh. The examination conducted by the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Delhi, included in the booklet of recognised exams, have also been deleted from the Booklet.

  • After that you need to fill in all the prescribed details in the application form.
  • Then recheck all the details and submit it.

Exam Pattern

  • The test will be conducted in the subjects of, (i) Physics, (ii) Chemistry (iii) Biology (iv) Mathematics (v) Biotechnology and (vi) Computer Science as per date sheet.
  • The scheme of the PUCET (U.G. & BHMS) Entrance Test is given below: For every wrong answer, 25% i.e. ¼ mark allotted to the question will be deducted.

  • The result of the entrance test will be available on the University website. No separate Result Cards will be issued. Only the eligible candidates can apply for the admission.
  • The University will publish PU CET 2017 (U.G.) merit lists of the candidates for the following combinations of subjects:

Exam Pattern

      1. All the question papers are set in English and will be of objective type. Question paper is Physics and Chemistry will have 100 questions ( 120 min duration ) and that for Mathematics and Biology each question paper will have 50 questions ( 60 min. duration ).
      2. Each question paper will have 4 versions. The version code of the question paper will be boldly printed on the top right corner of the question paper.
      3. The candidate will have to make use of Optical Marks Reader ( OMR ) sheet as answer sheet which will be supplied along with question paper in the beginning of each test session to mark the correct answer.
      4. Each question will have four options. Among the four options provided against each question, only one option will be correct. The candidate will have to darken only one circle against the question in the OMR sheet using a ball point pen. Each correct answer will fetch one mark. There will be no negative marks.

UCEED 2019 Exam Dates, Application Form, Eligibility Criteria

The Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) conducted by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay under the guidance of the UCEED Admissions Committee. UCEED is open to all nationals (Indian/Foreign). Candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor Degree programme in Design (B. Des.) at IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati and IIITDM Jabalpur should appear in UCEED. UCEED qualified candidates will have to apply separately for admission as per the prescribed procedure. Admissions shall be made in order of merit in each category.

Admissions to the Bachelor of Design (B. Des.) programmes at IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati and IIITDM Jabalpur are done through the Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED). Eligibility Criteria

– The candidate should have a complete 18th year./ The candidate should have been born on or after October 1, 1994 if belonging to the OPEN or OBC-NCL category and on or after October 1, 1989 if belonging to the SC, ST or PwD category
– The candidate should have passed the qualifying examination (Class XII or equivalent) in 2018, OR appearing in 2019. Students from ALL STREAMS (Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) are eligible.
Those who appeared for the first time in their qualifying examination in 2019 or earlier are NOT eligible.
– The candidate should have passed their Class XII (or equivalent) examination.
– Those who appeared for the first time in their Class XII (or equivalent) examination in 2013 or earlier are NOT eligible.
– If a Board awards only letter grades without providing information on the passing grade on the grade sheet, the candidate should obtain a certificate from the Board specifying the passing grade and submit it at the time of online acceptance of the allocated seat. In case such a certificate is not provided, the decision taken by the B. Des. Admissions Committee will be final.

Bachelor of Design (B.Des)

Reservation Criteria

Indian nationals belonging to certain categories are admitted under the seats reserved for them in accordance with the rules of the Government of India. The categories and the extent of reservation are as follows:
– Other Backward Classes belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) – 27% of seats in the course. The backwards class should be in the central list of OBCs (http://www.ncbc.nic.in) as of June 1, 2014.
– Candidates belonging to the creamy layer of OBC are NOT entitled to reservation. Such candidates are treated as belonging to the general (GEN) (i.e., unreserved) category.
– Scheduled Caste (SC) – 15% of seats in the course.
– Scheduled Tribe (ST) – 7.5% of seats in the course.
– The benefit of reservation will be given only to those castes and tribes that are mentioned in the respective central list of corresponding states published by the Government of India.
– Persons with Disability (PwD) – 3% of seats from the parent category in the course.
– Candidates belonging to the OBC-NCL, SC, ST and PwD categories will be declared as qualified on the basis of a relaxed criterion
– The 3% reservation for PwD candidates.
– Foreign nationals are outside the ambit of reservation of seats under the OBCNCL, SC, ST and PwD categories as specified herein

– All the candidates must first REGISTER online before proceeding to fill the application form. You may do this by clicking the Apply Online link on the UCEED website.

– In the ONLINE application web page, enter your personal details.

– It is the responsibility of the candidate to make sure that he/she is eligible for UCEED 2019. Application Fee will not be refunded even if the application is rejected.

– If a candidate makes multiple payments for the same application.

– When you click Pay FEE & Submit button, you will be redirected to the payment gateway for UCEED application fee payment.

– Applicants can make the fee payment using Internet banking, Credit card or Debit card through the payment gateway.

– Once your payment is successfully completed, you will get a confirmation page. Keep a copy of this. This is only for your reference. Do not send this to the UCEED office.

– You can Save the application form any time before Clicking Pay FEE & Submit button, to logout, and to login back again and continue the application process.

Syllabus

Paper Pattern

• There will be ONE question paper for 3 hours duration.
• The question paper will be in English.
• The question paper will be administered through a computer based test.
• The question paper will carry a total of 300 marks.
• The question paper will contain a total of 80 questions distributed among the 6 topics provided in the syllabus.
• The question paper will consist of 3 sections.
• All 3 sections have NEGATIVE marking.

SECTION A:

Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions

For NAT questions, an answer is a number that needs to be entered using a virtual keyboard in the computer screen. No choices will be shown for these questions. Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks and each wrong answer will be awarded –1 mark. Questions not attempted will be given zero marks.

SECTION B:

Multiple Select Questions (MSQ)

Each MSQ has one or more choice(s) as the correct answer out of the four given choices. An answer is considered correct only if ALL the correct choices and NO wrong choices are selected. Each correct answer will be awarded 5 marks and each wrong answer will be awarded –0.5 marks. There are NO PARTIAL marks. Questions not attempted will be given zero marks.

SECTION C:

Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)

Each MCQ has four choices out of which only one is the correct answer. Each correct answer will be awarded 3 marks and each wrong answer will be awarded –1 mark. Questions not attempted will be given zero marks.

Question Papers

Admit Card / Hall Ticket

The candidate should verify all the information in the admit card. If any issue is found, then get it corrected with the concerned authority.
The candidates are required to carry the admit card to the examination hall. Without it, you will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. It is also very important to document for the further admission processes.

Results

Results will be declared on Last week of February 2019.

UCEED results will be available on the website. Candidates need to use their Registration ID and password (created during registration) for viewing the results on the web page.

UCEED qualified students will be able to download their score cards from 1st March, 2019.

A hard copy of the UCEED scorecard will not be available and hence will not be sent to the qualified candidates.

Obtaining a rank in UCEED 2019 does not guarantee admission to the B. Des. programme.

Rank Lists

Rank lists will be prepared based on the total marks in UCEED 2019.

There will be no separate category-wise rank lists. However, cut-off marks for each category will be mentioned in the rank list.

If the total marks scored by two or more candidates are same, then the following tie-break policy will be used for awarding ranks:
i. A Higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Section B.
ii. If this does not break the tie, the higher rank will be assigned to the candidate who has obtained higher marks in Section A.
iii. If there is a tie even after this, candidates will be assigned the same rank.

Only candidates who score the minimum prescribed marks in each Section of the question paper and minimum total marks will be included in the rank list. The minimum prescribed marks vary with the category. These are as shown in the following table.

Sathyabama University Entrance Examination (SAEEE)

Sathyabama University Entrance Examination (SAEEE) is an yearly exam conducted for admissions to Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech),
Bachelor of Engineering (BE), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) at Sathyabama University, Chennai
SUEE is conducted by Sathyabama University, Chennai. Sathyabama University is conducting All India Level Common Entrance Examination, Sathyabama University Entrance Examination.

Admission to all UG courses are based on the Common Entrance Examination. Application Forms and information brochures will be available at the at the University Admission Office. The examinations shall ordinarily be conducted between October and December during the odd semesters and between March and May in the even semesters. The maximum marks for each theory and practical course (excluding the project work and Viva Voce examination in the final semester) shall be 100.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicants interested in Sathyabama University Entrance Exam 2019, has to meet the following specifications,

  • Should have passed the qualifying examination in the first class or grade for the academic year 2018 or appearing for the same in the March or April, 2019.
  • Candidates can choose any of the following programmes based on the eligibility criteria. Candidates should have passed the qualifying examination with first class / grade either in March/April, 2018 or should be appearing for the same in March/April, 2019. The candidate’s date of birth should be on or after 1st January, 1999.
  • In addition to this, candidates should have passed the 10th class or Equivalent Examination in March/April 2016 or after with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks or “6.0” CGPA.
  • One who passed 10th class or 12th class in compartmental or with any arrears are not eligible to apply for this. Should be the residents of India only.

o apply for Entrance Examination, the eligible candidate may choose any one of the following options :

1. Purchasing Application Form :

Eligible candidates can buy the application form on payment of Rs. 650/- at major Indian Bank Branches throughout India and Our University Campus. Filled in applications should be sent to “The Co-ordinator, Sathyabama University, Jeppiaar Nagar, Rajiv Gandhi Salai, Chennai 600119”,

Application forms may also be obtained through post by sending a request letter (candidate’s mailing address should be mentioned clearly in capital letters with pincode number, mobile number and e-Mail ID) along with a demand draft for Rs. 650/- drawn in favour of SATHYABAMA INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, payable at Chennai. This request letter should reach on or before 22nd April, 2019 to “The Co-ordinator, Entrance Examination-2019, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Jeppiaar Nagar, Rajiv Gandhi Salai, Chennai-600 119”.

Exam Pattern

The applicants appearing for the test has to go through the Sathyabama University Entrance Exam Pattern 2019. The applicants will have different question papers those who wish for different courses. It is divided in to three part.

Part A – Comprising 60 questions (30 from Physics and 30 from Chemistry). This is common for all the applicants.

Part B – Comprising 60 questions from Mathematics.

Part C – Comprising 60 questions from Biology.

The applicants can either choose Part B or Part C. One, who chooses Part B along with Part A, will be eligible for all B.Tech and B.E programs except the science groups in B.Tech. And going with part C will be eligible for B.Tech – Bio Technology, Bio Informatics, Biomedical and BDS programs only. Visit the link provided below for sample questions.

Cutoff

The cut off score depends on difficulty level of exam, availability of seats, number of applicants, etc. Based on the cut-off score examination authority prepares the merit list and candidates are called for counselling.

Results

The candidates are also advised to download the Rank Cards from the website after publication of results. The candidates are required to enter their respective SAEEE 2019 Roll Number for checking their result and downloading of their scorecard. The result will furnish the rank secured by the candidates. Based on the result of SUEE and the cutoff screening, eligible candidates would be selected for the next round of selection process. The selected candidates would be enlisted in a merit list and will be called for counselling cum allotment on the basis of appearance in the list.

Counselling

Candidates who are qualified in Sathyabama University Entrance Examination will be called for the counselling process of SAEEE 2019.

Eligibility Criteria

– Pass in Intermediate or 10+2 examination with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (50% aggregate marks for B.Arch./B.Pharm.) in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry and First Class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination from a recognised Central / State Board or its equivalent either in
2019 or 2020 and Rank obtained in GAT(UGTP)-2020.

Note:
– Candidates seeking admission to B.Arch. the program should qualify in NATA / JEE (Main).

The GITAM Admission Test (GAT) counselling process includes document verification, option entry, publishing of seat matrix, selection, seat allotment, fee payment and reporting to allotted college. Through counselling, the eligible candidates will be granted admission to various management courses at colleges and management Institutes of the GITAM university.

Counseling Fee

All the candidates who attend counselling have to pay an amount of Rs. 1,000/- as Counseling Fee (Non-Refundable) at the reception counter of the counselling centre irrespective of their selection for admission. The candidates can attend subsequent counselling for entry into the counselling centre for the same fee on production of fee receipt.

University Fee has to be paid at the counselling centre on allotment of the seat as per the following fee structure.
