Eligibility Criteria

The candidates should go through the eligibility criteria carefully before filling the application form.

Nationality: Candidate should be an Indian Citizen and must be a resident of Karnataka who hold the domicile certificate.
Age Limit: The candidates should be at least of 17 years of age

Educational Qualifications

  • Candidates seeking admissions to B.E/B.Tech Courses at Day Engineering College should have done diploma examination or equivalent qualification with minimum of 45% marks (40% for candidates belonging to SC/ST and Backward classes of Karnataka) in total in the final year.
  • Candidates seeking admissions to B.E/B.Tech Courses at Evening Engineering College should have done diploma examination or equivalent qualification with minimum of 45% marks (40% for candidates belonging to SC/ST and Backward classes of Karnataka) in total and at least two years of work experience in a Company /registered firm or industry.
  • Candidates who want admission to Arch Course needs to qualify any Diploma examination or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks (40% for candidates belonging to SC/ST and Backward classes of Karnataka) aggregate along with 40% marks in NATA conducted by Council of Architecture.

How to Apply?

The candidates have to apply online. They can do so by the following steps

  • Open the official website http://kea.kar.nic.in and click on “DCET-2017 UG Online Application”
  • Follow the registration steps. Upon successful registration, the candidates will receive login details on their registered email address. An SMS will be sent to the registered mobile number. These details will be used to login on the website for further processes.
  • Locate “Student information” link, in which you have to start providing the required information.
  • After filling all the details, submit the form.
  • The candidates will enter the all the study details and select “save and next” button.
  • After that upload the scanned image of your recent Photograph, signature, and Left Hand Thumb Impression, Parent Signature
  • Click on “save and next” button.

After completing all these steps, you need to proceed to payments section. Proceed for application fee payment process and select the bank challan, download it and take the printout of same and make the payment in the respective bank.

Admit Card

The KEA DCET Admit Card will be available on the official website for downloading in July 2017. The Candidates will be able to download the admit card using the registration number/roll no that is being given to them.

KEA DCET Result

Once the KEA DCET results are out, the authority will prepare a separate merit list of candidates for admission to B.E / B.Tech / B.Arch courses for Day and Evening Engineering Colleges.

The merit list will be displayed on the official website. The list will be made on the basis of the scores obtained in the Diploma Common Entrance Test and total marks scored in the final year (Fifth and Sixth Semester) of the Q.E on equal weight.

Applicants must download the admission tickets by entering Mobile Number given in the application form as user name and date of birth as password from the Association’s website and produce the same at the time of entrance test

The candidate should verify all the information in the admit card. If any issue is found, then get it corrected with the concerned authority.

The candidates are required to carry the admit card to the examination hall. Without it, you will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. It is also very important to document for the further admission processes.

Results

– The results of the Test would be displayed on the Association’s website. No result would be displayed at the exam centres. Request for re-totaling or re-evaluation of OMR sheets will not be entertained as valuation and the subsequent scoring is on scanning method.

Counselling

Admission Process

Once you have submitted the online counselling information, such candidate is directed to report to the counselling authority St. Josephs Indian High School Auditorium, No.23 VittalMallaya road, Bangalore – 560001 as per the below-mentioned schedule with all ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS mentioned below for physical verification.

Association will issue the provisional allotment letter to the candidate after physical verification of document done. Such candidates should report to the allotted (respective colleges) with all the original documents including the prescribed fee to the respective colleges. Failure to report or produce the original documents with fees in the form of D.D. such students will automatically forfeit the admissions and will not be considered for further admissions.

All such candidates selected in the counselling and provisionally allotted seat at the respective colleges shall give an undertaking that there will be subject to abide with the fees structure in accordance with the directions of the honourable court. Wherein the member institutions of our association as proposed to get suitable remedial orders for revision of fees structure and the same will be binding to all such students admitted in our member institutes.

Common Entrance Test or CET Karnataka is conducted for the purpose of admitting students to first year Courses in Engineering, Medical, Dental Courses in Karnataka. Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination i.e. the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2 level) or its equivalent examination with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
  • Along with Physics and Mathematics candidates must pass the qualifying exam with any of the Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science as optional subjects.
  • General category candidates have to obtain a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam and the candidates belonging to the SC, ST, Category-I and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) category have to score a minimum of 40% aggregate marks.
  • Domicile Criteria must be fulfilled by every candidate as declared by the KEA.

How to Apply

  1. Online Form submission for Karnataka CET 2017 will close on February 25 2017.
  2. To obtain application forms, Candidates were required to submit the KEA copy of the Bank Challan respective schools / colleges in Karnataka.
  3. Candidates had to upload all the documents and fill in all the details in specified places for the successful submission of KCET 2017 Application Form.
  4. Candidates had to submit duly filled in Application Form of Karnataka CET 2017 to the principal of their respective colleges / schools.
  5. Candidates were allowed to download KCET 2017 Admit Cards from April 21 in online mode

Cutoff

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) do not announce any cutoff marks/ranks for admissions to undergraduate engineering programmes across Karnataka CET 2017 participating institutes. Closing rank or the last rank after which the admissions to a branch of particular engineering college is closed is considered as the cutoff rank for that branch. Before commencement of Karnataka CET 2017 Counselling, no cutoff marks will be announced by KEA. It is expected that there will be a minimum of two rounds in Karnataka CET 2017 Counselling. The exam conducting authority will declare the KCET 2017 cutoff rank or the closing rank as soon as the counselling rounds get over. KEA is also expected to conduct Mock Allotment for the candidates before conducting the actual counselling.

Results

Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced the Result of Karnataka CET 2017 in the Month Of May 2017. Candidates, who have appearing for the Karnataka CET 2017 entrance exam can then check their Karnataka CET (KCET) 2017 Result on the official website. To know their results, they will be required to enter their KCET 2017 registration number.

Counselling

  • For KCET 2017 Counselling, candidates have to register themselves online, after the declaration of results.
  • KCET 2017 Counselling will be conducted in two rounds.
  • For a seat in the engineering colleges of Karnataka, candidates have to get their documents verified at the specified Help Centres. After document verification, candidates must obtain the verification slip.
  • After getting their verification slip, candidates can fill their choices of courses and colleges.

The Karnataka Private Medical & Dental Colleges Association, in their endeavour to offer an effective, fair and objective testing procedure to determine the merit of students seeking admission to the member institutions, have formed “Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka” (COMEDK). COMEDK has been assigned the task of organising a common entrance test for the academic year 2012-2013, for Indian national candidates aspiring to pursue Post Graduate Courses in Medicine and Dentistry in the State of Karnataka, in Member Institutions of the Consortium (Medical and Dental Colleges).

COMEDK entrance test & publication of test score and rank list will be followed by centralised counselling (Single window). The details will be published in due course on our website. Candidates from all over the Country can appear for COMEDK PGET 2017 examination

The minimum percentage of marks in the COMEDK PGET 2017 will be 50% for General Merit candidates and 40% for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe (All India) and Backward Classes belonging to Karnataka State

They must have completed or be completing their Internships latest by April 30, 2017.

They should have obtained permanent registration with the MCI/DCI or any of the State Medical /Dental Council

How to Apply

The application procedure of COMEDK PGET 2017 started in the month of November 2016. Candidates who wished to apply for COMEDK PGET 2017 had to note that applications had to be submitted in online mode on or before 1st week of January 2017. Candidates were advised to go through the instructions carefully before filling up the online Application Form. Candidates had to ensure that COMEDK PGET 2017 Application Form had to be filled properly with all complete details. No request for any change in the data submitted in the application, after submitted online had to be entertained; hence the candidates were cautioned to be careful while filling the Online Application Form.

Exam Pattern

COMEDK PGET 2017 is a computer based based test which is schedule to be held in the month of January 2017. The exam will be conducted on the basis of syllabus prescribed by Medical Council of India (MCI) and Dental Council of India (DCI). Candidates can read below for the exam pattern of COMEDK PG Entrance Test 2017:

Admit Card / Hall Ticket

The admit card of COMEDK PGET 2017 was available from 2nd Week Of January 2017 in an online mode. To download COMEDK PGET 2017 candidates have to enter their application number and password. Admit cards had not be sent by post or any other means.

Cutoff

Results

The result of COMEDK PGET 2017 has been declared only for the qualified candidates who have scored the qualifying marks. The COMEDK PGET 2017 test score and ranks has been declared on February 5, 2017. The minimum percentage of marks candidates must secure to pass COMEDK PGET 2017 is 50% for General and 40% for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe (All India) and Backward Classes belonging to Karnataka State.

Counselling

Allotment of Post graduate medical and dental courses under COMEDK for eligible candidates will be done through the single window, i.e. Centralized Counselling. Candidates appearing for COMEDK PG Entrance Test 2017 Counselling have to download and take a print out of the Online Rank Card. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the counselling venue without a valid Online Rank Card which is one of the mandatory documents.

  3. minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks in aggregate in case of candidates of Backward class categories
