The Karnataka Diploma CET is conducted for admission to 2nd Year Engineering Courses and for the first year Architecture Course under Lateral Entry Scheme for both Day and Evening Engineering Colleges.

Eligibility Criteria
The candidates should go through the eligibility criteria carefully before filling the application form.
Nationality: Candidate should be an Indian Citizen and must be a resident of Karnataka who hold the domicile certificate.
Age Limit: The candidates should be at least of 17 years of age
Educational Qualifications
- Candidates seeking admissions to B.E/B.Tech Courses at Day Engineering College should have done diploma examination or equivalent qualification with minimum of 45% marks (40% for candidates belonging to SC/ST and Backward classes of Karnataka) in total in the final year.
- Candidates seeking admissions to B.E/B.Tech Courses at Evening Engineering College should have done diploma examination or equivalent qualification with minimum of 45% marks (40% for candidates belonging to SC/ST and Backward classes of Karnataka) in total and at least two years of work experience in a Company /registered firm or industry.
- Candidates who want admission to Arch Course needs to qualify any Diploma examination or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks (40% for candidates belonging to SC/ST and Backward classes of Karnataka) aggregate along with 40% marks in NATA conducted by Council of Architecture.
How to Apply?
The candidates have to apply online. They can do so by the following steps
- Open the official website http://kea.kar.nic.in and click on “DCET-2017 UG Online Application”
- Follow the registration steps. Upon successful registration, the candidates will receive login details on their registered email address. An SMS will be sent to the registered mobile number. These details will be used to login on the website for further processes.
- Locate “Student information” link, in which you have to start providing the required information.
- After filling all the details, submit the form.
- The candidates will enter the all the study details and select “save and next” button.
- After that upload the scanned image of your recent Photograph, signature, and Left Hand Thumb Impression, Parent Signature
- Click on “save and next” button.
After completing all these steps, you need to proceed to payments section. Proceed for application fee payment process and select the bank challan, download it and take the printout of same and make the payment in the respective bank.

Admit Card
The KEA DCET Admit Card will be available on the official website for downloading in July 2017. The Candidates will be able to download the admit card using the registration number/roll no that is being given to them.
KEA DCET Result
Once the KEA DCET results are out, the authority will prepare a separate merit list of candidates for admission to B.E / B.Tech / B.Arch courses for Day and Evening Engineering Colleges.
The merit list will be displayed on the official website. The list will be made on the basis of the scores obtained in the Diploma Common Entrance Test and total marks scored in the final year (Fifth and Sixth Semester) of the Q.E on equal weight.
