Latest Update: Last date to apply for IIM Indore IPMAT 2021 exam was closed on June 4, 2021. IPMAT exam date is July 16, 2021. IPM AT is the entrance exam for admission to IIM Indore 5 year Integrated Programme in Management leading to award of BBA+MBA degree. Admission to IPM is available after class 12. The IPM AT 2021 exam will be conducted in the morning shift now instead of afternoon and will be a computer based test. The exam will be held in 34 cities and at multiple test centres.
IIM Indore launched the five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), the first of its kind in India, in 2011. IIM Ranchi has launched the IPM on the similar lines offering dual degree.
IPM: Dual Degree Programme for Young Students
IPM is a combination of 3 years undergraduate degree + 2 years MBA degree programme. The programme is meant for young students who have passed class 12 and have managerial and leadership aspirations. IPM carries the IIM Indore brand ensuring good career growth in management career. After 3 years of study schedule, the IPM students become the part of IIM Indore MBA/PGP batch leading to high placements.
IPM AT 2021: Mandatory Exam for IPM Admission 2021-26 Batch
IPM AT Exam 2021 is the mandatory entrance exam for admission to 5 year Integrated Program in Management (BBA+MBA) 2021-26 batch at IIM Indore. The candidates for IPM 2021-26 Batch will be selected on the basis of overall performance in IPMAT 2021 Exam, Written Ability Test (WAT) & Personal Interview (PI). The selection process depends upon Covid-19 pandemic situation at the material time and can be conducted online.

IIM Indore IPMAT 2021 Exam syllabus is divided into two sections.
- Section-1: Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning – 60 questions
- Section-2: Verbal Ability& Reading Comprehension – 40 Questions
The first section on Quantitative Aptitude is split into two sections – MCQs and Short Answer (SA) questions
There are more questions on Arithmetic in the IPMAT exam. A few questions in IPMAT exam are also based on Mensuration, Permutations and Combinations, Probability, Equations, Logarithm, Geometry, Matrices and Determinants, Basics of Data Interpretation, Data Sufficiency among others.

IPM AT 2021: Eligibility & Intake
IIM Indore IPM programme is aimed at students who have passed Class XII/Higher Secondary or equivalent from schools across India and are not above 20 years of age. Total Seats for IIM Indore IPM 2021-26 batch have increased to 150.
How to Apply for IPMAT 2021 Exam?
Candidates have to submit their application online during the IPM AT 2021 registration window which remains open for more than a month. The payment of IPM AT registration and application fee should also be done online. The IPMAT 2021 application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. The application is available at IIM Indore IPM admission website.
Admission Selection Process through IPMAT 2021 Exam
The students will undergo a rigorous selection process for getting into IIM Indore IPM:
- Application Submission for IPMAT 2021: The IPMAT 2021 application form is aimed at understanding the students’ proficiency in academics, as well as in co-curricular activities is filled up by the aspirant.
- Appear in Entrance Exam IPMAT: All the applicants have to appear in the IPMAT entrance examination. IPMAT tests the applicant’s aptitude, logical reasoning and proficiency in English and Mathematics.
- Personal Interview/Video Interview: Those who clear the IPMAT 2021 exam cut offs will be shortlisted for further rounds of selection process. The shortlisted candidates on the basis of IPMAT 2021 need to appear for personal interviews. The interview judges the students’ level of confidence, communication skills, general awareness, persuasion skills and knowledge. Last year, due to Covid-19 pandemic IIM Indore conducted Video Assessment process instead of personal interviews. Shortlisted candidates were required to upload a self recorded video file.
- Final Admission: Best 150 candidates who have done well in IPMAT, have good academics, perform well in personal interview, are granted admission to this prestigious 5 year IPM course.

Admissions to IIM Indore IPM is through IPM Aptitude Test popularly known as IPMAT. IIM Indore has notified “The Indian Institutes of Management Act 2017 came into force from January 31, 2018.
