Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Criteria for UG Courses

B.Tech/Dual Degree in Engg/Dual Degree in Management

– Pass or appearing at 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects
– Chemistry/Computer Science/Information Technology/Biotechnology/Biology /Informatics/Statistics or any other subject as approved by appropriate authority, by securing at least 50% marks taken together in the subjects (or)
– Pass in Diploma in Engineering/Technology with less than 60% marks in aggregate

MBBS/BDS

– Pass or appearing at 10+2 exam or any equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) and English individually and must have secured a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the qualifying exam
– In respect of the candidates belonging to SC/ST & OBC the marks secured in Physics, Chemistry and Biology took together in qualifying exam can be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates
– For PH candidates qualifying exam, marks are 45% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology took together. As per MCI & DCI guidelines, candidates have to secure at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) taken together in the entrance test
– All candidates must pass in English
– Age limit: The lower age limit is 17 years and the upper age limit is 25 years as on 31st December. Further, provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for SC/ST candidates

B.Pharm

– Pass or appearing at 10+2 exam with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory Mathematics/Biotechnology/Computer Science/Biology/IT or any other subject as approved by appropriate authority, by securing at least 45% marks taken together in the subjects mentioned (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category); or
– Pass in Diploma Program in Pharmacy with less than 60% marks

BHMCT

– Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (2020) in any discipline with atleast 45% marks (40% incase of SC/ST/OBC category)

B.Sc in Nursing (Basic)

– Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (in the year 2020) with at least 45% marks in aggregate (English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together) and 40% marks in aggregate for SC/ST/OBC candidates
– Age limit: The lower age limit is 17 years as on 31st December

Post Basic B.Sc in Nursing (Post Basic)

– Passed GNM examination, and registered with concerned State Nursing Council. Candidate must be a member of TNAI

Five years Integrated BA LLB & BBA LLB Honours Program

– Pass or appearing the 10+2 or equivalent in any stream with at least 45% marks. Relaxable to 40% in case of SC/ST. Candidate should not have completed 20 years of age as on 1st August

M.Tech Programs

– Pass or appearing in BE/B.Tech/AMIE /MCA/M.Sc in the respective discipline or equivalent
– Candidates having MCA & M.Sc (Maths) degree are eligible for M.Tech in Comp Sci. & Data Processing; candidates with M.Sc (Electronics) are eligible for M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engg and M.Tech in Electronics & Instrumentation Engg., M.Sc in Computer Science and IT are eligible for M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering and CS & IT respectively
– A candidate with B.Tech (Environmental/Chemical/Civil/Mechanical/Metallurgy) or M.Sc (Environmental Sci/Chemistry/Biotechnology/Geology/Life Science/Botany/Zoology) is eligible for M.Tech in Environmental Science & Technology
– M.Tech in Biotechnology, candidates having B.Tech/B.E in Biotechnology or related fields/M.Sc in Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Life Science or equivalent/MBBS/B.Pharm/B.V.Sc with Biology as a subject at +2 level are eligible
– Admission to M.Tech, candidates has to pass the qualifying examination with at least 50% marks
– GATE qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test, but they have to submit the filled up form

MCA

– Pass or appearing at three year Bachelor Degree in any discipline from any recognised University with at least 50% of marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC Category) having Mathematics at 10+2 level or at +3 level
– Candidates having Business mathematics at +2 or +3 level are not eligible

MBA/MHA/MHTM/MHMCT

– Pass or appearing three year Bachelor Degree in Science, Commerce and Arts/B.E/B.Tech/MBBS/ B.Pharm/B.Sc Agri/BVSC/BHMS/BAMS/BDS/BPT/BHMCT/BBA/BCA exam or equivalent from any recognised University with atleast 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category)

– For MHMCT the candidate must have secured at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC Category) in BHMCT

– Candidate having a minimum composite score of 500 in GMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/ATMA or any other equivalent test are exempted from appearing SAAT. They are required only to submit the filled up application form; admission will be done on the basis of performance in SAAT or MAT followed by group discussion and personal interview (GD/PI), all taken together

M.Pharm

– Pass or appearing at B.Pharm examination from any recognized University with atleast 50% marks

M.Sc All (Biotechnology/Nano Science & Nano Tech/Medicinal & Aromatic Plants/Molecular Biology/Chemical Biology & Drug Design):

– Pass or appearing at three year Bachelor degree in Science OR four year Bachelor course in Agriculture/Pharmacy/Veterinary/Engg/Technology/ Medicine (MBBS/BDS) from any recognised University with at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category)

Instructions for SAAT 2020 Online Application Form

Check that the online application form has been properly and completely filled up (For details regarding filling up the application form refer the SAAT 2020 information brochure).

Application process: Incomplete application will not be accepted. Please follow the below-mentioned process below to complete your application process.

Step 1 Fill up Name, Date of Birth, Email and Mobile Number

Step 2 Receive One Time Password (OTP) at the given Mobile Number and Email ID.

Step 3 Enter OTP to proceed to application form.

Step 4 Complete the application form information as required and proceed to payment. All candidates are requested to keep the scanned copy of Photo and Signature to upload during filling up the application form. (Recent Colour passport size Photograph)

Step 5 Select the payment method -Online payment (Debit / Credit Card of any bank is accepted)

Step 6 The Online payment method will redirect to the Merchant gateway. You need to fill up your card information and pay for the same and ensure the amount displayed is Rs. 500 /-. The payment gateway will authorise and capture the payment and redirect to our University website for confirmation of the Application process is complete. Do not close/ refresh / hit back button at the merchant gateway till the payment process is complete. (In case the payment fails due to any reason you can retry with type of cards) (The system will record the whole application process. Do not close the window until you have completed step 1 to 6 or else the application process will be invalid.)

Step 7 Download your Application Copy and take the print out of the application form for future reference. The application form will be sent to your mail.

Step 8 The acknowledgement for the receipt of the SAAT 2020 application will be intimated to your Email-Id and Mobile Number through SMS.

Syllabus

Paper Pattern

There will be multiple-choice questions.

– The number of questions will be 60 per each hour of exam

– SAAT exam duration is one hour.

– Each question shall have four probable answers with only one is correct answer, and the examinee shall have blackened only the correct circle with HB pencil or black/blue ballpoint pen

– Each correct answer shall carry four marks whereas each incorrect answer will lead to deduction of one mark. Each unanswered question will carry zero mark

– If more than one circle is darkened for one question, it will be treated as an incorrect answer and one mark will be deducted

– Each question is followed by answers, which have numbers A, B, C and D. Select the correct answer

– Then by using HB pencil or black/blue pen darken the circle bearing the correct answer in the answer sheet against the corresponding number of the question

Admit Card / Hall Ticket

The candidate should verify all the information in the admit card. If any issue is found, then get it corrected with the concerned authority.

The candidates are required to carry the admit card to the examination hall. Without it, you will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. It is also very important to document for the further admission processes.

Exam Results

The candidates are also advised to download the Rank Cards from the website after publication of results.

Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) conduct the HPCET-2020 for admission to B.Tech./B.Pharmacy/ B.Pharmacy (Ayurveda), M.Tech, M.Pharmacy, MCA and MBA being offered by HPTU and colleges affiliated to it, deemed to be University, or other Universities established under the State Act or Constituent units thereto.

The admission to all courses shall be made on the basis of merit or rank/marks obtained in the National Level Entrance Test subject to fulfillment of minimum educational qualification. However after exhausting the merit of National Level Entrance Test, the admission to all courses shall be made on the basis of merit of marks obtained in HPCET-2020.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates appearing in HPCET-2020 for seeking admissions to a particular course must fulfill the eligibility criteria for the corresponding course as per AICTE Norms. The minimum eligibility criterion for different courses is given below
B.Tech. (Direct Entry)
Candidate passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject securing at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

B.Pharm (Direct Entry)
Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject securing at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

Provided that a student should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the course.

B.Pharm (Ayurveda)
Passed 10+2 examination from a recognized Board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.

M. Tech
Recognized Bachelor‘s degree or equivalent in the relevant field having at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved

M. Pharmacy
Recognized Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent having at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category).

MBA
Recognized Bachelor‘s degree of minimum three years duration with at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category)

MCA
Recognized Bachelor‘s degree of minimum three years duration with Mathematics at 10+2 level or at Graduate level securing at least 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category).

i) The candidates who are appearing for their final examination of 10+2/Bachelor Degree examination in March/April, 2020 shall also be eligible to appear in HPCET-2020. However the final selection shallbe subject to satisfying the above minimum eligibility criteria.

ii) In case the percentage in aggregate comes in fraction then the percentage of minimum marks obtained in qualifying examination as required for admission to various courses mentioned in the Admission Brochure of HPTU, shall be rounded off to the nearest percentage of marks e.g. 44.50 – 44.99 % shall be rounded off to 45% and 44.01 – 44.49% shall be rounded off to 44%.

Reservation Criteria

As per State/Central Government rules, candidates belonging to certain categories are admitted to seats reserved for them based on relaxed criteria. These categories are:

(a) Other Backward Classes (OBC)- Non Creamy Layer as per the Central list of Other Backward Classes available on National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC), Government of India website : www.ncbc.nic.in.

(b) Scheduled Castes (SC)

(c) Scheduled Tribes (ST)

The benefit of reservation for admission will be given only for Himachal Bonafide applicants and the applicants belonging to other States will be treated under General Category only.

How to Apply

The HPCET 2020 Application Form has been made completely online. The candidates have to fill the particulars online and also upload their photograph and signature. The candidates must send a scanned copy of the Application Form duly countersigned by their parents through e-mail on HPTU email-id
himtuadmission@gmail.com on or before 2nd week of May, 2020. The candidates are further advised to retain hard copy of the Application Form for future reference/correspondence, if any.

Candidate enter complete address giving your name and Pin-code carefully. The name of the candidate and his/her parent‘s name in the Application Form should exactly be the same as registered in Class 10th/equivalent qualifying examination. No prefix/title such as Mr/Shri/Dr/Mrs/Smt. etc. should be used.

Submission Of Application Form
(a) The Application Form duly completed should be checked, if all the items have been correctly filled and appropriate codes indicating your exact choice have been put in the right spaces provided against each. Also ensure that you have adhered to the instructions for completing the online Application Form before submitting it.

(b) Incomplete Application Form shall not be considered and no correspondence shall be made in this regard. The Application Form once submitted cannot be taken back under any circumstances nor shall the Entrance Examination Fee deposited be refunded in any case.

(c) Any application submitted after the prescribed last date will not be accepted.

(d) The applicants are required to pay the Entrance Examination Fee given in table at 9.3 through the following mode:-

Application Fee

Entrance Examination Fee is to be paid either by credit/debit card or through echallan generated during the online filling of the Application Form. In case of echallan, the payment should be made in the Punjab National Bank in cash. Fee once paid will not be refunded (full or partial) under any circumstances.

Syllabus

Paper Pattern

– The Entrance Test for each course shall be conducted in single offline (Pen and Paper Based Test) mode.

– All questions shall be objective type (multiple choice questions); each question with choice of four answers. The candidate will have to choose one correct answer only.

– Two marks shall be awarded for each correct answer and 0.5 mark shall be deducted for each wrong answer.

– While the candidate can skip a question, but should not choose more than one option as correct answer.

Question Papers

The language of all question papers & sample paper will be English.

Admit Card

(a) The e-Admit card duly signed by Controller of Examination (hereinafter referred as COE) will be made available for candidates on the University website i.e. www.himtu.ac.in. Candidate should enter the Application Form number to download Admit card.

(b) The e-Admit card will indicate the name of applicant, father‘s name, photograph of the student, address of the test centre, test date, etc. Discrepancies, if any, must be brought to the notice of the Controller of Examinations, H.P. Technical University, Gandhi Chowk, Hamirpur-177001 (H.P.) immediately.

(c) Candidates should take a print of the e-Admit card using the print option on A4 size paper only. Please ensure that all information on the e-Admit card including photograph is clearly visible and e-admit card is duly signed by COE.

(d) Candidates will not be permitted to appear for the test without valid e-Admit card.

(e) Candidates must not mutilate the e-Admit card or change any entry made therein after it has been authenticated and received by them. Impersonation is a legally punishable offence.

(f) The e-Admit card is an important document and it must be preserved and produced at the time of test. Candidate should report to the allotted test centre along-with e-Admit card and ID proof, half an hour before commencement of the examination.

Cutoff

Candidates have given the HPCET Exam to get the admission for the academic year. The HP Technical University will be release the HPCET Results for B.Tech, B.Pharmacy, and B.Pharmacy (Ayurveda). For B.Tech/ B.Pharmacy/ B.Pharmacy (Ayurveda) the examination is organized on the subjects; Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics/ Biology. The detailed information about the HPCET Cut off marks, and Himachal Pradesh CET Merit list is available on the official website.

Answer Key

Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) declare the official answer key for HPCET exam. Candidates can check their answers by subject wise in the official website. If there any complaints in the marks the candidates send their doubts before the last date.

Results

The result of HPCET-2020 will be uploaded on the University‘s website www.himtu.ac.in and will also available on the Notice Board of the University as per the schedule mentioned in Table-3. The result of each candidate will be provisional. The detail of marks can be obtained from the University website.
(a) The merit shall be determined on the basis of aggregate number of marks/rank obtained in the entrance test by the candidates and the merit list will be prepared accordingly.

(b) The merit will be declared and displayed on the Notice Board of the University and will also be made available on University website. Merely
assigning the marks/rank in the merit list will not confer a right of admission.

Post Graduate Programmes

MBA
– Any recognised Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. OR
– Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology or any other subject with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or any qualification recognised as equivalent thereto with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. OR
– Passed the Final Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England, the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England or the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

MCA

Master of Public Health (MPH)
– Candidates possessing MBBS degree from any recognised institution are eligible to apply for the course. In-service personnel with the above qualification, working in health Institutions/ organisation in Central/State Govt. or Public Sector having 5 years experience, of which at least 3 years should be in Public Health activities are eligible. Such candidates, at the time of counselling for admission, would need to furnish a letter from their employer that if they are admitted, they would be relieved for 2 years for undertaking the course on a full-time basis at the admitted
institution. Admission will be done on All India Basis and the guidelines of Govt. of India, applicable to Central Govt. Educational Institutions will be followed.

Master of Science (MSc)
– B.Sc. Degree or its equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate. OR
– B.Sc.(Engg.), B.Tech. or B.E. in Civil/Chemical/ Agricultural Engg Degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate

Master of Laws (LLM)
– LL.B Degree as required by the Bar Council of India for Enrollment as an Advocate or an equivalent Law Degree from a Foreign University, with not less than 50% marks.

Master of Education (MEd)
Candidates should have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in the following programmes:

Master in Conservation, Preservation and Heritage Management
The candidates eligible to apply for the Master Degree Courses should be a Graduate (3 years degree course) in any subject of Humanities, Commerce or Sciences (those appearing in the 3rd year final exam may also apply. The student must be a graduate from an Indian or recognised foreign university or have passed an examination recognised as equivalent to a degree and possesses such other qualifications as may be prescribed by the University from time to time.

Master in Archaeology and Heritage Management
The candidates eligible to apply for the Master Degree Courses should be a Graduate (3 years degree course) in any subject of Humanities,
Commerce or Sciences (those appearing in the 3rd year final exam may also apply. The student must be a graduate from an Indian or recognised foreign university or have passed an examination recognised as equivalent to a degree and possesses such other qualifications as may be prescribed by the University from time to time.

Master in Philosophy (M.Phil)
– M.A./M.Sc. degree in Psychology or equivalent from a University recognised by the UGC with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate preferably with special paper in Clinical Psychology.
– The CET shall be followed by an interview, of the qualified candidates of the CET, for admission to this programme. Weightage of marks will be 90% for CET and 10% for the interview and practical, as per RCI.

Master of Computer Applications (Dual Degree)
– Pass 10+2 examination or equivalent with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject and should obtain at least 50% marks in the above subjects taken together. The candidate should also have passed English separately in the qualifying examination.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA Lateral Entry)
– Bachelor of Computer Applications / B.Sc. (Information Technology) / B.Sc.(Computer Science) degree with mathematics as a course at 10+2 level or graduate level from a University recognised by the UGC with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.

Graduation Level

Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
– Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* with pass in English (core or elective or functional)

– Pass in 12th class of 10+2 of CBSE with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics,
Chemistry, Biology provided that the candidate has passed in each subject separately. The candidate must also have passed English (core or elective
or functional) in the qualifying examination.

LLB
– Pass in 12th class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* and must also have passed English (core or elective or
functional) as a subject.

BEd
– Candidates with at least 50% marks either in Bachelors degree and/or in the Master’s degree in Sciences, Social Sciences, and Humanities. OR
Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialisation in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto.
Note:
Candidates having fulfilled the eligibility conditions, as mentioned above may opt for any two teaching methodology subjects, as per details are given below for graduates and post graduates.

with required subjects, i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and securing minimum 60% marks aggregate in these subjects, will be eligible. A
candidate also must have passed in English as a subject of study (core, elective or functional) in the qualifying examination.

BBA & Allied Programmes
– Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* and must also have passed English (core or elective or

passed in each subject separately. A candidate also must have passed in English (core or elective or function) as a subject of studies in the
qualifying examination. OR
– Diploma in Radiotherapy Technology after passing in 12th class of CBSE or equivalent with minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry
and Biology provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately, having minimum 5 years of experience in the field of Radiotherapy.

UG & PG Medical Programmes

Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
– Candidate must have passed in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English (Core or Elective or Functional) individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Biotechnology and English (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC candidate, subject to availability of seat for these categories in the respective institutions)

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)

Relaxation in Eligibility

Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Widows or Wards of Defence Personnel/ Persons With Disability will be allowed 5% relaxation of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement, irrespective of the fact whether there exists any reservation for any category of such candidates or not.

Note:
Relaxation of any kind, as mentioned above and elsewhere in this Admission Brochure, will be granted to only those candidates, who are able to produce necessary relevant supporting documents as per the Admission Brochure before the Admission Officer present at the Venue of the Document Verification / Counselling /Admission. Therefore, for seeking these relaxation/s, necessary documents must be obtained in advance by all candidates from the Competent Authority as prescribed.

How to Apply

– The application forms shall be available in the online mode only from the University Website.

– It is the responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether he/she possess the requisite eligibility and qualifications for admission

– The applicants are advised that since the form filling as well as admit cards shall be made available through the online mode only, they must keep the details of their login id and the password secure and safe.

– After the application for any CET is submitted, if there is any mistake in date of birth, spelling mistake in name of applicants or the parent’s name or in the choice of category claimed for the purpose of availing reservation, the applicant must submit an application in physical form
(together with applicable processing fees of Rs. 500/-) to: Reception, Examination Division, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.

Admit Card / Hall Ticket

Admit card download from university website.

The Admit Card will be available online, 7 days before the date of the CET. The Admit Cards may be downloaded from the candidate’s individual account using log-in ID and password from the website which was used for filling up the application form. No candidate will be allowed to enter the Examination Hall without the valid CET Admit Card.

The candidate should also download hall ticket from University official website.

The candidate should verify all the information in the admit card. If any issue is found, then get it corrected with the concerned authority.

The candidates are required to carry the admit card to the examination hall. Without it, you will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. It is also very important to document for the further admission processes.

Results

IPU CET Entrance Result has been declared by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIU)in the online mode. The candidates are also advised to download the Rank Cards from the website after publication of results.

Counselling

A detailed schedule of first counselling/admissions indicating the number of qualified candidates to be called for counselling will be displayed on the University’s Website one week prior to the commencement of counselling. Venue of Counselling & list of institutions along with the intake in the respective programme/s for Academic Session will be notified on the University’s Website before the commencement of counselling.

The candidates should report at the notified venue, on the scheduled date and time for counselling/admission in-person along with the documents mentioned in the detailed counselling schedule. The counselling processing fee shall be Rs. 1000/- (non-refundable). This fee shall be required
to be paid by any (qualified) candidate desirous of taking admission.

Scope Of NEET MDS

– The candidate must be an Indian National /Person of India Origin /Overseas Citizen of India card holder possessing BDS degree from a Dental College recognized by the Government of India under the Dentist Act or permanent BDS registration and has completed one year (12 months) of compulsory rotatory internship in an approved /recognized Dental College to be eligible to appear in NEET-MDS 2021.

– The condition of one year Compulsory Rotatory Internship is not applicable to those candidate who had passed their final BDS Examination on or before 1988 and hold a recognised degree of BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) awarded by an Indian University, in respect of recognised Dental College under Section 10(2) of the Dentists Act, 1948 or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Dental Council of India.

– No condonation of Internship of 12 months period shall be accepted except (i) the students of the batch admitted during the academic session 2007-2008 and have completed 4½ year BDS Course alongwith 06 months compulsory rotatory internship and (ii) the students admitted during the academic session 2006-2007 at Rajah Muthiah Dental College, Annamalai University and have completed 05 years BDS Course without internship.

– However, a candidate who after passing the final qualifying examination (BDS or the foreign dental degree recognized by GOI/DCI), is undergoing 12-month compulsory rotatory internship/practical training and is likely to complete the same by 31st March 2020 can take up this examination, but he/she shall not be eligible for admission unless he/she has completed the compulsory rotatory internship and obtained provisional or permanent registration on or before 31st March 2020 or the candidate produces a certificate from the head of Institution that he/she will be completing internship by 31st March 2020.

– The dates indicated by candidates with regard to 12 months Compulsory Rotatory Resident Internship i.e. starting date, completion date, shall be treated as final and candidates will be required to submit the original Compulsory Rotatory Resident Internship completion certificate at the time of counseling.

– Candidates who have studied/passed BDS from the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for 50% All India Quota seats. However, the candidates who were nominated by the Government of India to do BDS from Dental Colleges in Andhra Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telangana shall be eligible to apply for admission.

– Such candidates must submit a duly signed affidavit declaring that he/she was nominated by the Government of India (under central pool seats) to do BDS from Dental Colleges in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu & Kashmir to the Deputy Director (Examinations) National Board of Examinations, Medical Enclave, Ansari Nagar, Mahatma Gandhi Marg, (Ring Road), New Delhi – 110029 along with the print out of the acknowledgement of submission of online application for NEET-MDS 2021 latest by 2nd November 2016. (Please refer to Information Bulletin for format of Affidavit).

– However, the restriction on candidates from the states of Jammu & Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh and Telengana shall not apply to the categories pertaining to Armed Forces for ‘Grant of Short Service Commission in Army Dental Corps’ and for MDS admissions in Armed Forces Institutes.

– Some of the Universities/institutions are having regulations that candidates who are already pursuing any PG Course in their University or in another University are not eligible for admission till they complete the course.

– The candidates who are already pursuing PG Courses either through All India Quota or State Quota and are applying for a seat under All India Quota may confirm the eligibility conditions of that University in this regard. NBE/MCC/MoHFW shall not be responsible if such candidates are denied admission. Such candidates may opt for the subject and the college at their own risk and cost.

– A candidate can register and appear for NEET-MDS 2021 only once for admission to the academic year 2020-2021.

Syllabus

 

– The syllabus for the exam shall be that of BDS standard and shall cover all the subjects/syllabus taught during the BDS course as prescribed in the DCI Revised BDS Course Regulations, 2007 as amended from time to time.

Paper Pattern

– The examination shall be a multiple choice questions test delivered using computers network (CBT) as per scheme prescribed.

– The exam comprises of 240 Multiple Choices, single correct response questions in English language only. Total time allotted is 3hours.

– Negative Marking: There shall be no negative marking.

Admit Card / Hall Ticket

– Admit card download from university website.

– At the end of Registration & Scheduling process, the applicant will get a computer generated acknowledgement at the registered email id of the applicant. Admit card will be issued to candidate once registration & scheduling process is successfully complete. When the admit card is received by email, it should be read carefully and all information mentioned should be verified. Candidate is required to print a copy of admit card and affix a latest passport size photograph of the following specifications on the admit card.

Candidates MUST bring to the test centre the following documents:
– Printed copy of the Admit Card with Photo of the candidate pasted on it

– Photocopy of Permanent and Provisional SDC/DCI registration*, to be retained by the test Centre; AND
– Any one of the authorized photo IDs** (must be original, valid and non-expired)

*Candidates who have obtained their Primary medical Qualification outside India and do not have SDC/DCI registration should bring their original screening test pass certificate issued on NBE letterhead.

Cutoff

– The cut off dates for the recognition of the Dental Colleges, from where the candidates have passed, must have a recognised degree of BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) awarded by an Indian University, in respect of recognised Dental College under Section 10(2) of the Dentists Act, 1948 or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Dental Council of India and completed compulsory rotatory Internship for the year 2020 will be 31st Oct 2016. The Colleges recognized after this date will not be considered.

Counselling

National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 Exam Dates, Application Form, Eligibility Criteria

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET-UG) is being conducted by NTA since 2019 for admission to the undergraduate medical education, with the approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (vide O.M. no. V.11025/14/216-MEP dated 6th December 2017) and
MHRD (vide Order No 35-5/2017-TS.I dated 24th September 2018).

As per Section 14 of The National Medical Commission Act, 2019 (Appendix-I), which has come into force on 24th September 2020, NEET (UG) has to be conducted as a common and uniform National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to the undergraduate medical education in all medical institutions, including those governed under any other law in force.

NEET (UG) has been a qualifying entrance exam since 2020 for admission to the MBBS/BDS courses in AIIMS & JIPMER (although such Medical Institutions are governed under separate Statutes), as per the proviso under Section 14 (1) of the NMC Act (2019).

The National Eligibility- cum- Entrance Test or NEET-UG is an entrance examination in India for students who wish to study any graduate medical course (MBBS), dental course (BDS) or postgraduate course (MD/MS) in government or private medical colleges in India.

As per the Indian Medical Council Act-1956 as amended in 2021 and the Dentists Act-1948 as amended in 2016, online applications are invited for NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) – 2021 (NEET-UG-2021) to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.

National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) (UG) is applicable for admissions to the following:-
=> All India Quota Seats.
=> State Government Quota Seats where the State Government concerned so opts.
=> Private/Management/NRI Quota Seats in all Private Medical / Dental Colleges or any Private/Deemed University

Languages

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) will be conducted in following 11 languages (since 2021): English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu .

ii) Option of medium of Question Paper should be exercised while filling in the application form and the option once
exercised by candidates cannot be changed later.
iii) Candidates opting for English would be provided Test Booklet in English only.
iv) Candidates opting for Hindi would be provided Bilingual Test Booklet i.e. in Hindi and in English.
v) Candidates opting for regional languages would be provided Bilingual Test Booklet i.e. in selected regional language and in English.
vi) In case of any ambiguity in translation of any of the questions, its English version shall be treated as final

Eligibility Criteria

– Eligibility for appearing in NEET (UG), as per related Regulations of NMC and DCI are as follows:-

=> He/she has completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31 December of the year of his/her admission to the first year Undergraduate Medical Course.

=> Accordingly, the lower age limit shall as under:
For Candidates of General (UR)/General-EWS – born on or before 31.12.2004
For Candidates of SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD Category – born on or before 31.12.2004

=> The upper age limit for NEET (UG) is 25 years as on the date of examination with a relaxation of 5 years for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC-NCL category and PwBD Candidates.

=> Indian Citizens/ Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) intending to pursue Undergraduate Medical Courses in a foreign Medical/ Dental Institute also need to qualify NEET (UG)

Criteria for NRI / OCI / Foreign Nationals
Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), and Foreign Nationals are eligible for admission in Medical /Dental Colleges subject to rules and regulations framed by the respective State Governments, Institutions and Government of India, as the case may be. The NRI and OCI Applicants / Candidates have to upload a Certificate from the concerned Indian Diplomatic Mission in the country of their
residence in support of their claim as an NRI / OCI Candidate, along with their online application form for NEET (UG) 2021 and retain the original of such document for producing it at the time of Counselling / Admission to the Courses covered under NEET (UG). Similarly, a foreign applicant for NEET (UG) 2021 shall also upload Documentary Proof (e.g. relevant pages of a valid passport or a Certificate from Competent Authority in the country of his/her nationality regarding his/her citizenship status) in support of his / her Nationality, along with online application form. The Embassy Certificate and Citizenship Certificate or any Documentary proof of Citizenship are given in Annexure- XIV A and XIV B.

=> Foreign nationals may confirm their eligibility from the concerned Medical/Dental/ College/State.

Eligibility of OCI cardholders for NEET (UG):

The Ministry of Home Affairs vide Notification dated 4th March 2021 specified the rights to which an OCI cardholder shall be entitled under the Citizenship Act, 1955. Clause (4) (ii) of the said Notification reads as under:

“(4) parity with Non-Resident Indians in the matter of,-

(ii) appearing for the all India entrance tests such as National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, Joint Entrance Examination (Mains), Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) or such other tests to make them eligible for admission only against any Non-Resident Indian seat or any supernumerary seat:

Provided that the OCI cardholder shall not be eligible for admission against any seat reserved exclusively for Indian citizens.”
The above Notification provides the following Explanation: “The OCI Cardholder (including a PIO card holder) is a foreign national holding
passport of a foreign country and is not a citizen of India.”

Similarly, the PIO cardholder and foreign nationals shall not be eligible for admission against any seat reserved exclusively for Indian citizens.

Reservation Criteria

Reservation Of Seats & Admission In Medical/Dental Colleges

1. An All India merit list and All India Rank of the qualified candidates shall be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the National Eligibility-cum Entrance Test and candidates shall be admitted to MBBS/BDS courses from the said list only by following the Existing Reservation Policies.

2. All admission to MBBS/BDS courses within in the respective categories shall be based solely on marks obtained in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test.

3. All other existing eligibility criteria for admission to Medical/Dental Colleges shall be applicable as per Rules and Policies of the State/UT/Institution/University concerned.

Reservation Of Seats In Government Medical Colleges Under 15% All India Quota:
(i) 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates,
(ii) 7.5% seats are reserved for ST candidates,
(iii) 27% seats as per Central Act are reserved for non-creamy layer OBC candidates only in Central Educational Institutions
(iv) Differently abled candidates as per MCI guidelines

How to Apply

1. Candidates can apply for NEET (UG)-2021 through the “Online” mode only.

2. Submission of the Online Application Form may be done by accessing the NTA website https://neet.nta.nic.in/. The Application Form in any other mode will not be accepted.

3. Only one application is to be submitted by a candidate.

4. Candidates must follow the instructions given in the Information Bulletin and on the NTA website strictly. Candidates not complying with the instructions shall be summarily disqualified.

5. Candidates must ensure that the e-mail Address and Mobile Number provided in the Online Application Form are their own or Parents/Guardians only as all information/ communication will be sent by NTA through e-mail on the registered e-mail address or SMS on registered Mobile Number only.

6. Instructions for filling Online Application Form: In order to ensure that the candidate data is submitted quickly, the Application Form
for NEET (UG) – 2021 has been divided into Two Sets/Phases.

The first set of information needs to be filled up before the last date of submission of the online Application Form. The second set of information needs to be filled up by the candidates before the declaration of the Result/ downloading of Score Card during the period that would be notified separately through NEET (UG) Portal in due course.

All candidates shall fill up each set of information of the Application Form at the respective time of availability. In the absence of filling up of any of the set of information, his/her candidature will be cancelled. The ‘columns’ to be filled up in each set of information are available in the Information Bulletin as Appendix-XVII for your reference.

=> Download Information Bulletin and Replica of Application Form. Read these carefully to ensure your eligibility. In case a candidate is found to fill in more than one application, the Admit Card will be cancelled/withheld and his/her candidature will be forfeited for this/future examination.

=> Follow the steps given below to Apply Online:

Step-1: Apply for Online Registration using your Parents/Guardians or your own unique Email Id and Mobile No.

Step-2: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down the system generated Application No.

Step-3: Upload scanned images of candidate’s latest passport size photograph (jpg file size: 10 kb to 200 kb); post card size photograph (4”x6”) (jpg file size: 10 kb – 200 kb); siature (jpg file size: 4kb – 30kb); left hand thumb impression (jpg file size: 10 kb-200 kb) (in case of any eventuality of left thumb being unavailable, right hand thumb impression may be used.); Class X pass certificate (pdf file size: 50 kb to 300kb); category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS etc.); (pdf file size: 50kb to 300kb) & PwBD certificate (pdf file size: 50kb to 300kb); Citizenship certificate/ Embassy certificate or any Documentary proof of Citizenship certificate in PDF format (file size: 50 kb to 300 kb), (pdf of all these documents should be in prescribed format/file of required size as mentioned against each).

For photography, the focus needs to be on the face (80% face coverage, ears clearly visible, on white background).
Step-4: Pay the fee using SBI/Canara Bank/HDFC/ICICI/Paytm Payment Gateway through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net-banking/UPI/Wallet and keep proof of fee paid safely for future reference.

In case the Confirmation Page is not generated after payment of the prescribed Fee, then the candidate should approach the concerned Bank/Payment Gateway integrator (the helpline number and email given in Appendix- XVI of the Information Bulletin), for ensuring the successful payment. In spite of the above, if a successful transaction is not reflected on the Portal, the candidate may contact NTA Helpline. If the payment issue is still not resolved, the candidate may pay a second time.

However, any duplicate payment received from the candidate by NTA in the course of said transactions will be refunded through the same payment mode through which the duplicate payment is received, after fee reconciliation by NTA.

=> Download, save and print copies of Confirmation Page after successful remittance of fee and keep copies safely for future reference.

=> All the above-mentioned 4 Steps can be done together in one go or at different times.

7. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the NTA website and also check their e-mails/SMS for the latest updates.

8. Candidates shall appear at their own cost at the Examination Centre on the Date and Timing indicated on their Admit Card issued by the NTA.

9. Any request to change the Examination Centre, Date, and Time provided on the Admit Card shall not be considered under any circumstances.

10. Candidates are advised to take 6-8 Passport size and 4-6 Post Card size (4” X6”) coloured photographs with white background.

The photographs are to be used for uploading an Online Application Form, for examination, and also for Counselling/Admission. This is to ensure that the same photograph is used for all documents and all purposes related to NEET (UG)-2021.

Note:
1. The final submission of the Online Application Form will remain incomplete if step-3 and step-4 under point 6 are not completed. Such forms will stand rejected and no correspondence on this account will be entertained.

2. No request for refund of fee once remitted by the candidate will be entertained by NTA under any circumstances.

3. The entire application process of NEET (UG)-2021 is online, including uploading of scanned images and documents, Payment of Fees, and Printing of Confirmation Page. Therefore, candidates are not required to send/submit any document(s) including Confirmation Page to NTA through Post/ Fax/ by Hand/Email.

11. All Candidates appearing in NEET (UG) – 2021 must regularly check updates on the website of NTA (https://neet.nta.nic.in//); MoH&FW (https://www.mohfw.gov.in/); AYUSH Ministry (www.ayush.gov.in); DGHS (https://dghs.gov.in/content/1344_1_MedicalEducation.aspx); Medical Counselling Committee (https://mcc.nic.in/UGCounselling/); (Admission Central Counselling Committee of Ministry of AYUSH) https://aaccc.gov.in/aacccug/home/homepage and other concerned Authorities of participating States/Universities/Institutions, till the conclusion of the final round of Counselling.

Application Fee

The applicants have to pay the application fee to complete the application process. The application fee can be paid through online (using debit/ credit card) or offline (using bank challan) mode. The application fees for different categories are as follows-

For General-EWS/ OBC-NCL*- Rs. 1400/-
For SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender- Rs. 800/-
For Outside India (Fee in `)- Rs. 7500/-

Paper Pattern

The NEET (UG) shall consist of one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology). The duration of paper would be 03 hours from 10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m.

The question paper of NEET 2021 will be divided into 4 sections. The distribution of questions for each section is as follows-
– Botany- 45 questions
– Physics- 45 questions
– Zoology- 45 questions
– Chemistry- 45 questions
Total- 180 questions

The Question Papers for the test shall be based on a Common Syllabus notified by the Medical Council of India and implemented in the year 2013. for details.

Counselling Details

1. CBSE will provide All India Rank. Result will be given to DGHS, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India to provide the same to admitting authorities.

2. Admitting authorities will invite applications for counselling and merit list shall be drawn based on All India Rank by the admitting authorities subject to their applicable rules.
