About Institute of Management Study, Kolkata

One of the most eventful times in human history is perhaps the turn of the new millennium, and with it came the challenges of the new generation, which are many and varied in number; so much so that only the most competent members can survive and hence prosper. These challenges can be won by wisdom and wisdom is knowledge, where, this knowledge can come through education.

Inspired by this noble cause of education, Institute of Management Study began its curriculum from July 2006. It is one of the new age B schools, set up with the objective to provide Undergraduates well as Postgraduate programmes in Management and Computer Application under the affiliation of recognized University. The Institute started its maiden batch of BBA and BCA programmes in 2006 under the affiliation of West Bengal University of Technology.

IMS is a coeducational institution providing equal opportunity in all respect to impart quality education for building up managers, teachers and researchers for the industry, academia and the nation as a whole. The institute started its maiden batch of Postgraduate programme in Management MBA under West Bengal University of Technology.

The foundation stone of the institute was laid down by Honorable Minister of Sundarban Development, Sri Kanti Ganguly – Government of West Bengal, in the presence of Fr P. C. Matthew, Principal of St. Xaviers College. The institute is a constituent unit of Saha Education Society, Lake Gardens, a Non Profit Making Society registered under Societies Registration Act XXVI of 1961 No. S/IL/ 16378 of 2003 – 2004, established in 2003 to promote Education, Research and Training. The institute provides at present BBA (Hons), BCA, MBA and MBA courses. The founders of the Institute are well experienced in academics and industry, which is very essential to run a management programme successfully.

The objective of Durgapur Institute of Management and Science (DIMS) is to provide the facility of quality Teacher’s Training Education in Bachelor’s level (B.Ed) which is of two year duration and two years course of Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).

About Heritage Business School, Kolkata

Inspired by the noble cause of education and philanthropic zeal, a group of twenty-two like minded industrialists in Kolkata established in 1990 the Kalyan Bharti Trust (KBT), a charitable educational establishment, to promote and provide higher education in the country and in the State of West Bengal, in particular.
