KThe KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM), KIIT University, Bhubaneswar came into existence with the laying of the foundation stone jointly by Dr. Verghese Kurien, Father of the White Revolution and Dr. A. Samanta, the Founder of KISS and KIIT Group of institutions on 20th November 2006. In the last 13 years of its existence, KSRM has emerged as one of the best schools in the country in rural management, through its imprints in teaching, research and consulting. Besides unique changes in the MBA (RM) Programme design, KSRM has now started diversifying its programme portfolio to certain niche fields in the development Sector. It started PG Diploma in Community Development (PGDCD) in 2016 and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in 2017. To cater to the ever-growing need for professional managers of the Agri. business sector, KSRM has started the programme MBA in Agri-business management – MBA (ABM) from 2019. KSRM also has a doctoral programme, Ph.D. in rural management. This growth has been facilitated through the ever expanding base of its partner organizations, crossing 350 all over the country, which provide a learning platform to all the students.

About Trident Academy Of Creative Technology, Bhubaneswar

Trident Academy of Creative Technology (TACT) is an educational trust operating as a non-profit organisation duly registered under the Indian Trust Act. Commencing its activities in 1997, the trust’s initial thrust is on advancements in the field of technical education, women’s education and primary education in Orissa.

Trident Academy of Creative Technology, a name that has become a brand in the field of technical education, is today synonymous with excellence.Trident is where Education meets Enthusiasm. Within just a few years of its establishment, Trident group of institutions has built an image amongst the aspiring masses which is worth the quality of education it imparts.

In the winter of 1991, 5(Five) young minds were debating on a coffee table regarding values in education. There were heated arguments on the need for world class education to prepare world class human resources. Pradipta, who was an Aeronautical Engineer from IIT Kanpur was pessimistic saying that India could not become a knowledge hub because funds for educational institutions came from coffers of the central and state governments. With minimum budget allocation for HRD purposes, these governments had no capacity to build up quality infrastructure for setting up the base for advanced education and research. On the other hand, the ultimate beneficiaries i.e. the students considered it a taboo to pay for their qualitatively high education. There is no dearth of cynics who love to discuss this as commercialization of education.

“Good things in life never come cheap” remarked Prabir, an alumni from Xavier’s Institute of Management who had just come back from an assignment in the UK. Why should the governments not allow self-financing private institutions where excellent infrastructure could be built by private entrepreneurs and excellent faculty could be recruited with high salaries so that students who are otherwise desirous for paying for high quality education could benefit ? Harvard, Stanford, MIT, UCLA – All top class international academic institutions – have not been built by US Federal Govt. These have come up through private entrepreneurship in self-financing mode and top class education in such top class institutions require high payment of fees as well. Let the Govts in India take care of students who can not afford private education and genuinely need free/subsidised higher/technical education at taxpayer’s money.

About Ajay Binay Institute Of Technology, Cuttack

Ajay Binay Institute of Technology-ABIT PMCA is inching forward in its steady progress and established an Engineering Wing in 1998 with approval of Govt. of Orissa, Utkal University and All lndia Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. In the year 1993 an Architectural College, named after the renowned Architect Mr. Piloo Mody was set up in Badambadi, Cuttack. In fact it was the crusading zeal of the Parliamentarian Mr. Mody, which was responsible for the enactment of Architecture Act, 1972. It may be pertinent to mention here that on the eastern coast of the country this was then the only college of its kind. In November 1998 the first step was taken in hiring the industrial shed in C- 12, Khapuria for setting up the Engineering Wing of the College. Due to approval of All lndia Council for Technical Education, sanction of Govt. of Orissa and affiliation of Utkal University were obtained on priority and thus Ajay Binay Institute of Technology came into existence. Mr. Ajaya Bhuyan and Mr. Binaya Mishra were leading industrialists of the State who had rendered yeoman service for the cause of the Industry.

To commemorate their untimely accidental demise and their contribution towards Industrialization of the city of Cuttack a trust was created in their name. The Institute is situated in Cuttack, the cultural and literary capital of Orissa. The campus is at a distance of 25 km from the state capital of Bhubaneswar. There are 5 buildings on two campuses. Campus A houses architecture, engineering, MBA, MCA and the junior science college, and Campus B houses the Industrial Training Institute. Ajay Binay Institute of Technology-ABIT PMCA is located in Kajidhia, Khapuria, Madhupatna, Cuttack.
