NavSahyadri Charitable Trust, Pune NSCT, Pune is a public charitable trust, established in the year 2006, by dynamic personalities in educational field with a mission to redefine educational system in rural India and develop rural masses for global competition and make them sustainable. Keeping this thought and to achieve the set goals NSCT, Pune founded Institute of Business Management & Research, Chakan IBMR, Chakan in Year 2008.

Chakan is about 34 Kilometres 21 mi from Pune, on NH 50 between Pune and Nashik cities. It is also on the roads that connect the Pune-Mumbai Highway to the Pune-Nashik Highway and to the Pune-Ahmednagar-Aurangabad Highway. It is about 150 kilometres 93 mi from Mumbai, 120 kilometres 75 mi from Ahmednagar and 175 kilometres 109 mi from Nashik.Historically, Chakan has been a wholesale agricultural produce trading hub. It’s agricultural market was a major onion trading centre.

Chakan is now home to a Special Economic Zone SEZ promoted by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation MIDC. It has since evolved into a major automobile hub. It hosts automobile production plants for the Volkswagen Group, Daimler-Benz, Mahindra & Mahindra and Bajaj Auto. About Neville Wadia Institute Of Management Studies And Research, Pune

Neville Wadia Institute of Management Studies and Research was started by Modern Education Society in 1991. The institute is affiliated to the University of Pune and recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education AICTE and Government of Maharashtra.

The M.E. Society initially focused on the traditional degree programs like B.A. and B.Sc. But within the decade from the establishment of the M.E. Society, a Diploma course in Electrical Technology was launched under the banner of Cusrow Wadia Institute of Technology.

The Next round of professional courses was launched in 1990’s when the Post Graduate Degree programms under the banner of Neville Wadia Institute of Management Studies and Research were introduced. This was followed by the full time Degree Engineering college.

Wadia College Institutions today touch several disciplines of higher education such as Law, Engineering, Management, Science, Humanities, Languages, Commerce, Computer Science etc. All institutions of M.E. Society provide Degree, Post Graduate instruction, coupled with excellent research facilities leading to M.Phil and Ph.D. degrees.
