SCHEME OF ADMISSION The number of seats is limited to 35. Earlier the School had an All India Written test followed by a Group Discussion and Interview for the selection of the students. From the past two years, based on the directive from the State Government of Andhra Pradesh, the selection is being done solely on the ranks obtained in MBA Common Entrance Test (MBACET) being conducted by the State Government every year during the month of May.

Andhra University, one of the oldest and accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade has established an international image in academic excellence. School of Distance Education, an organ of this University, started in 1972, has been one of the pioneering institutions in the field of Higher Education. It has been striving to extend the reach of higher education to different sections of the society located in divergent geographical areas, particularly in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
Students of this institution study the same syllabi and are subject to the same regulations as that of the regular students of Andhra University. The Degree awarded is also the same. The learning package comprises of self-learning study material, audio-video packages and face-to-face interaction.

Gyan Vani, a community Radio Station is located in the School of Distance Education and caters to the needs of the learners of the School of Distance Education, besides other sections. It can be tuned on 106.4 Mhz under FM. At present there are 34 study Centres meeting the learner needs. The sale of applications, dissemination of information, face-to-face interaction, conduct of examinations, etc. constitute the core activities of the Study Centres.
B.A. AND B.COM COURSES

Eligibility: Intermediate/P.U.C. equivalent or pass in Entrance Examination conducted by this school.

Application Procedure : Intending candidates may write to the undersigned by DESIGNATION for application form and prospectus by sending Rs.40/- (Rupees fourty only) by Demand Draft/Money Order in favour of The Director, School of Distance Education, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam-530 003. The candidates have to write their name, address and course for which they want the prospectus on the reverse side of the Demand Draft or Money Order Coupon whichever is applicable. The Candidate may also remit cash at the Cash Counter in the School of Distance Education towards application forms and prospectus. Postal Orders and Cheques will not be accpted.

College of Management Studies was started in 1988. The College is affiliated to the Andhra University and is permitted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. It is also recognised by All India Council for Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E). The College campus is situated at a distance of 10 kms from the city and is well connected through the public transport system.
