About Vivekanand School of Post Graduate Studies

Established in 1987 by Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa Educational Society, Vivekananda School Of Post-Graduate Studies (VSPGS) started modestly with a one-year course: – Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications, in affiliation with Osmania University. Three years later VSPGS was the first college to be granted the MCA and PGDMISCA (1990) courses by the Osmania University through its affiliation. The prestigious MBA program was offered by the university the following year (1991).

The AICTE, New Delhi and the Government of AP subsequently accorded their approval for running these programs.

VSPGS is also the first IGNOU Study Center {1988} in the state of Andhra Pradesh to offer the MCA program to its distance learners. The other IGNOU programs that are offered are: BCA, MLISC, BLISC, DECE, CFN, DDE, MADE etc. The faculty at VSPGS extend their counseling capacities and rich experience to the distance learners too and over the years, the students of IGNOU at this study center have secured GOLD MEDALS and have done the host institution VSPGS proud.

The School is also the exclusive resource centre for delivering the coveted IGNOU distance education programmes in Computer Science for the entire AP state.
