About JEE (Main)

Admission criteria to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, Other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions shall include the performance in the class 12/equivalent qualifying Examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). The Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs.

The States of Gujarat, Nagaland, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system. Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State Level Examination, are also advised to fill in the JEE (Main) application form online.

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

For appearing in the JEE (Main) examination there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have
passed class 12th / equivalent examination in 2018, 2019 or appearing in 2021 irrespective of their age can appear in
JEE (Main) examination – 2021. The candidates should also satisfy themselves about their fulfilling the age limit
requirements of the Institutes in which they are desirous of taking admission. The candidates must note that the IITs
have an age limit / restriction, which will be published in JEE(Advanced)-2020 Information Brochure.

List of Qualifying Examinations (QE)

i. The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized central/ State Board, such as Central
Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi;
etc.
ii. Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
iii. Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy.
iv. Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum
of five subjects.
v. Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or in any foreign country recognized as equivalent to

How to Apply

The aspiring candidates have to apply online only through JEE (Main) website www.jeemain.nic.in. The online application process will start from 1st September 2020 onwards. The last date for application is last week of 30 September 2020. The eligibility criteria for JEE (Main) & JEE (Advanced) are different. The candidates are requested to read the information bulletin carefully and themselves ensure their eligibility as per the criteria laid down for JEE (Main) as well as JEE (Advanced).

Online Application Form Submission –
Online application has to be submitted through JEE (Main) -20120 website www.jeemain.nic.in. The aspiring candidate should furnish all the details and upload scanned image of his/her photograph, signature and left hand thumb impression while filling up the ‘On-line’ Application. Candidates are required to take a print out of the computer generated acknowledgment slip after successful submission of data and payment of fee and keep the same in the safe custody for any future reference.

– The entire application process is online, including uploading of photograph &signature and payment of fee the candidates are required NOT to send any document to JEE(Main) Secretariat.

Seven (7) Steps to be followed to apply online.
Step 1: Download the information bulletin and read it carefully to ensure your eligibility.

Results

I. The score of Paper-I of JEE (Main) 2019 for all candidates will be declared on last week of April 2017. This score shall comprise the actual marks obtained in Paper-I of JEE (Main) – 2019 along with the status of those who qualify for appearing in JEE (Advanced) 2017 provided and subject to other conditions of eligibility being met.

II. separately, on the basis of score in JEE (Main)-2019 and normalised score in Class 12th or equivalent qualifying exam (60% & 40% weightage respectively), separate rank lists will be prepared for admission to B.E./B. Tech. and B. Arch/ B. Planning (in institutions other than IITs). This will be declared on or before last week of 30 April 2019. JEE (Main)-2019 Rank Card indicating All India Rank, State Rank and Category Rank with total marks and marks in each paper will be available on JEE (Main) website after the declaration of result.

Only the All India Rank (AIR) is used for admissions through Central Seat Allocation Board to NITs/IIITs/CFTIs/SFIs/Others, while other ranks are for information purposes.

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has been awarded the responsibility of conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2021. With this announcement, the preparations for maintaining the official JEE Advanced website, crafting question papers, and other exam related tasks have already commenced at the institute.

JEE Advanced 2021 Exam Dates, Application Form, Eligibility Criteria

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur are institutions of national importance established through Acts of Parliament for fostering excellence in education. Over the years, IITs have created a world class educational platform that is dynamically sustained through quality teaching and internationally acclaimed research with excellent infrastructure and the best available minds. The faculty and alumni of IITs occupy key positions in academia and industry, both in India and abroad, and continue to make a considerable impact in all sections of the Society. At present, there are twenty two IITs across the country.

Admission into various undergraduate programmes across IITs and ISM is through the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Advanced). Through JEE (Advanced), IITs and ISM offer admission into undergraduate courses leading to a Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s or Bachelor-Master Dual Degree in Engineering, Science, Architecture, or Pharmaceutics. Both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees are awarded to candidates enrolled in the dual degree programs upon successful completion of the course curriculum. In a few of the IITs, students enrolled into the 4-year Bachelor’s program have the option to convert to B.Tech.(Honors) and/or B.Tech. with Minors. The types of academic programs offered at IITs and ISM and their minimum duration are given in the next page.

The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2021 [JEE (Advanced) 2021] will be conducted by the seven zonal IITs under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) 2021. The performance of a candidate in this examination will form the basis for admission to the Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the IITs and the ISM. The decisions of the JAB 2020 will be final in all matters related to JEE (Advanced) 2021 and admission to IITs and ISM.

Eligibility Criteria

Types Of Academic Programs Offered At Iits And Ism, And Their Minimum Duration
All the candidates, including foreign nationals, must fulfil each and every one of the following five criteria to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2021

– Candidates should be among the top 2,24,000 (including all categories) by scoring positive marks in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2021.

– The percentages of various categories are: 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST and the remaining 50.5% is OPEN for all. Within each of these four categories, 3% horizontal reservation is available for PwD (including Dyslexic) candidates.

– As shown in the following table, the usual order will be followed while choosing top 2,24,000 candidates in various categories who have scored
positive marks in JEE (Main) 2021.

– Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1995. Five years relaxation is given to SC, ST and PwD candidates, i.e., these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1990.

– A candidate can attempt JEE (Advanced) a maximum of two times in consecutive years. Therefore, candidates who appeared in JEE (Advanced) 2021 for the first time are also eligible.

– A candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in all the subjects in either 2021 or 2021.

– A candidate should NOT have been admitted in an IIT/ISM (irrespective of whether or not he/she continued in the program) OR accepted the IIT/ISM seat by reporting at a reporting centre in the past. The candidates whose admission at IITs or ISM was cancelled are also NOT eligible.

Reservation Criteria

Indian nationals belonging to certain categories are admitted under the seats reserved for them in accordance with the rules of the Government of India. The categories and the extent of reservation are as follows:
– Other Backward Classes belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) – 27% of seats in every course.
– Scheduled Caste (SC) – 15% of seats in every course.
– Scheduled Tribe (ST) – 7.5% of seats in every course. The benefit of reservation will be given only to those castes and tribes that are mentioned in the respective central list of corresponding states published by the Government of India.

– Persons with Disability (PwD) – 3% seats in each of OPEN, OBC-NCL, SC and ST category seats.
Benefit would be given to those who have at least 40% impairment irrespective of the type of disability i.e., locomotor, visual or dyslexic.

– Defence Service Candidates– Two seats are available for preferential allotment in each Institute for DS candidates.

– Foreign Nationals – Candidates who are NOT citizens of India (by birth or naturalized) at the time of registering for JEE (Advanced) 2016 are treated as foreign nationals. Seats allotted to foreign nationals are supernumerary with a cap of 10% of total number of seats in every course. However, the seats allotted to OCI/PIO card holders will be under OPEN category, but not supernumerary.

How to Apply

The Registration procedure consists of three basic steps.
Step-1: After login, provide the basic data including the choice of the language of question paper (English or Hindi), the choices of the cities
for the examination

Step-2: Upload the scanned copies of all requisite documents

Step-3: Pay registration fee. Registration fee is NEITHER refundable NOR transferable.

Documents Required For Registration

Given below is a list of certificates whose scanned copies are to be uploaded at the time of online registration for JEE (Advanced) 2021. The formats of the certificates, which are indicated in the brackets

– Class X certificate if the date of birth is mentioned in it OR birth certificate. JEE (Advanced) 2021 – Information Brochure
– Class XII (or equivalent examination) certificate (for those who appeared for this examination in 2015).
– If the name is not same as in the Class X certificate, gazette notification showing the change of name.
– OBC-NCL certificate (FORM-OBC-NCL) issued on or after June 1, 2016 and conforming to the latest guidelines of the Government of India.
– Caste (for SC) or tribe (for ST) certificate (FORM-SC/ST).
– Disability certificate (FORM-PwD [II/III/IV, whichever is applicable]) issued by the notified medical authority.
– Request letter to the Chairman of the respective zonal IIT (FORMSCRIBE).
– Certificate (FORM-DS) issued by a competent authority in the Directorate of Resettlement and Rehabilitation, New Delhi under the Ministry of Defence or the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India.
– PIO card or OCI certificate, as applicable.

Syllabus

 

Paper Pattern

The examination consists of two papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2, each of three hours duration
Candidates who wish to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2016 must write Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2021 which will be held in the month of April 2021. Candidates may visit the website www.jeemain.nic.in for information about JEE (Main) 2021.

Question Papers

• There are two question papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2 of three hours duration each. Both papers are compulsory.
• Each question paper will consist of three separate sections, viz., Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
The question papers will consist of objective type (multiple choice and numerical answer type) questions designed to test comprehension,
reasoning and analytical ability of candidates.
• Negative marks will be awarded for incorrect answers to some of the questions.
• The candidates must carefully read and adhere to the detailed instructions given in the question paper.
• The question paper will be in either English or Hindi. Candidates must exercise the choice of question paper language while registering for JEE
(Advanced) 2016. Change of question paper language will NOT be entertained after the registration.

Only candidates who score the minimum prescribed marks in each subject and in aggregate will be included in the rank list. The minimum prescribed
marks varies with the category. These are as shown in the following table.

Admit Card

– Candidates who successfully registered for JEE (Advanced) 2021 can download the admit card from the online registration portal: www.jeeadv.ac.in

– The admit card will bear the following details of the candidate: Name, Roll number for JEE (Advanced) 2021, photograph, signature, date of birth,
address for correspondence, category and language of the question paper.

– In addition, the admit card will have the name and address of the examination centre allotted to the candidate.

– Candidates should carefully examine the entries in the admit card and in case of any discrepancy, contact the Chairman, JEE (Advanced) 2016 of the
respective zonal IIT.

– In case the admit card is not available for downloading, the candidate should contact the Chairman, JEE (Advanced) 2016 of the respective zonal
IIT.

Results

– Results will be declared on Category-wise.
– All India Ranks (AIR) of successful candidates will be available on the online portal after the results are declared.
– Individual rank cards will NOT be sent to candidates.
– Obtaining a rank in JEE (Advanced) 2021 does not guarantee admission to IITs or ISM.

Eligibility

Candidates applying for SRMJEE should have following eligibility criteria:
=> Only Indian nationals are eligible for application.
=> Candidates should have obtained 65% marks in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry in aggregate.
=> Minimum eligibility for admission to Biomedical, biotechnology, genetic and bioinformatics engineering: Candidates should have obtained 65% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics.

Application Form Fee is Rs.1100/ – and it is Non-Refundable.

How to Apply

Prospectus sale will start from October 2021. The candidates then need to fill the application form online. The form can be downloaded from official website of SRMJEEE from October onwards. After successful submission of application, the candidates will be provided username & password. This login details will be further used in the application process.

SRMJEEE Paper Pattern

The SRMJEEE Question paper will be only in English language. The questions are of objective type. Each question has 4 alternate answers. The correct answer has to be chosen and the appropriate oval should be shaded in the asnwer sheet.

SRMJEEE Question Paper

There will be four parts in the exam.

=> Part 1: Physics 35 questions with a total weightage of 105 marks
=> Part 2: Chemistry 35 questions with a total weightage of 105 marks
=> Part 3: Mathematics 35 questions with a total weightage of 105 marks
=> Part 4: Biology 50 questions with a total weightage of 105 marks

Total weightage 315 marks

Note: Negative mark of 1′ for every wrong answer in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and ‘0.7’ for every wrong answer in biology

 

SRMJEEE Syllabus

Admit Card / Hall Ticket

SRMJEEE Admit card will be available to those candidates who have submitted the application form successfully in the prescribed format and within the given deadline. The Admit card contains important information related to the test. Candidates are advised to carefully check the details and inform the concerned authority in case any sorts of discrepancy have found.

SRMJEEE Result

The SRMJEEE result will be declared along with the Rank list in the month of July 2021. The exact date will be available soon. Candidates are advised to keep checking the official website www.srmuniv.ac.in. Successful students will get SMS notification of result with their rank.

Counselling

The allotment of seats and branch will be done during the Counselling process. The seats are allotted to the successful candidates based on their performance in SRMJEEE 2021. The SRMJEEE 2021 counselling will be held online as well as offline on the campus of the University.

The counselling detailed will be published on the official website within the stipulated time. The candidates are also informed through e-mail.

– 10+2/Intermediate/High Secondary or equivalent examination with Science Subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Group) and minimum 45% of marks in aggregate

Lateral Entry:
– Candidates who have passed Polytechnic Diploma/B.Sc in First Division from recognized institution may apply for direct admission to 2nd year (III Semester) of B.Tech Course.

MCA (6 Semesters):
– Graduate in any discipline with 45% in Mathematics at intermediate level/PGDCA/BCA, 60 seats, Admissions through UPSEE**

Application Procedure:

1. Application to the PUCAT-2021 can be made through online mode only. Candidates are required to fill the Application Form On-Line through the website http://www.vbspu.ac.in.

2. On-Line application form through the website http://www.vbspu.ac.in can be submitted from 11th June 2021 1400 hrs to 20th July 2021 23:59 hrs.

3. Candidates are advised to read this Information brochure carefully, check their eligibility and applicable reservation category etc. before filling and submitting the application form.

4. This Entrance Examination is open to all the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from any institution located in country.

5. Do not send hard copy of “Confirmation Page” after completion and online submission of application form on the portal of University. However, the Candidate should keep the printout of the Confirmation page for personal record. Candidates are advised to note down the application Form Number for future correspondence.

6. Candidates need not to send hard copy / photo copy of any document, whatsoever, to the University at this stage.

7. Through online process of Application form, candidates have to upload scanned images of his/her latest colored photograph and signature. Application forms having blurred photographs are liable to be rejected.

8. Candidates claiming advantage of reserved categories, sub-categories, etc. must be required to indicate in the Application Form and not required to send any certificate to the University at this stage. These certificates, in original, will have to be produced at the time of Documents Verification along with one self-attested copy of each one of them.

9. Candidates who are due to appear for the qualifying examination or have appeared, but results are awaited, are also eligible to appear in the PUCAT-2021. However, the candidates in respect of whom, the result of the qualifying examination has not been declared till the date of the document verification, due to any reason whatsoever, shall not be eligible for admission under any circumstances.

10. The result of PUCAT-2021 declared by VBS Purvanchal University Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, shall be final.

11. If any document/declaration submitted by the candidate is found to be false at any stage, his/her admission shall be cancelled, and he/she may be liable for prosecution under the law. The candidate must himself/herself ensure about his/her eligibility to appear in the Entrance Examination. If a candidate, who is not eligible to appear in the examination, does so; he/ she will not have any claim whatsoever, for admission to any course through PUCAT-2021.

12. The Entrance Examination Fee for PUCAT-2021 is Rs. 500/- for Unreserved and OBC category and Rs. 250/- for the candidates belonging to SC/ST.

13. The allotment of seat through counseling will be carried out strictly in accordance with the PUCAT-2021 merit of the candidate, subject to the order of preference given for the seats and availability of seat in the category. Once the seat is allotted to the candidate, no change in the Institution / Branch is admissible.

14. The fee paid at the time of counseling by the candidate, after the allotment of seat will be forfeited and will not be refunded under any circumstances, even if the candidate does not report for the admission to the allotted institutions.

15. All information about PUCAT-2021 shall be made through University Website https://vbspu.ac.in. The candidates are advised to refer to this website regularly/frequently failing which VBSPU will not be responsible for any loss due to the lack of communication.

16. In case of any deficiency in application form, it is likely to be rejected and sole responsibility of its consequences will lie on the candidate and representation in this regard shall not been entertained.
