NERIST stands for North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology, and is one of the renounced technical institutes maintained by government of India. Eligibility Criteria

For all the examinations (NEE-I/ NEE-II/ NEE-III) with any paper code, applicants who are appearing in the respective qualifying examination and whose results are awaited may also appear in the respective Entrance Examination.

Eligibility for NEE I

Maximum Age Limits as on 31st July, 2020 are 19 years for the students of the general category (GE) (born on or after 1st August, 1999), 22 years for OBC and female applicants (born on or after 1st August, 1996) and 24 years for ST/SC/PD (born on or after 1 st August, 1994).

Academic Qualification : Applicants must have passed Class X / Matriculation / Secondary examination or an equivalent examination with Science and Mathematics. They should have passed in all the subjects including Science and Mathematics separate

Eligibility for NEE II/

Maximum Age Limits as on 31st July, 2020 are 23 years for the students of the general category (GE) (born on or after 1st August, 1995), 26 years for OBC and female applicants (born on or after 1st August, 1992) and 28 years for ST/SC/PD (born on or after 1st August, 1992).

Academic Qualifications for different schemes/modes of NEE-II:

• NEE-II (PCM): Applicants must have passed in 10+2 (PCM)/ Higher Secondary (PCM) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM).
• NEE-II (Vocational): Applicants must have passed 10+2 (Vocational) / ITI / NERIST Certificate in any one of the branches / trades, viz., [Agricultural Engineering] Farm Equipment (FE) / Food Processing (FP); [Civil Engineering] Construction Technology i.e. Draftsmanship / Surveyor (CT); [Electronics and Communications Engineering] Electronics Technology or Electronics Maintenance (ET/EM); [Electrical Engineering] Electrical Technology or Electrical Maintenance (ET/EM); [Mechanical Engineering] Mechanical Craftsmanship (MC) / Automobile Technology (AT) and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (R&AC) are eligible.
• NEE-II (PCB): Applicants must have passed in 10+2 (PCB)/ Higher Secondary (PCB) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB).

Candidates, who are selected for admission to Technology Stream under NEE-II (PCM) / NEE-II(Vocational), shall have the choice of the branch during counseling out of the six branches / disciplines, viz., AE, CE, CSE, EE, ECE and ME on the basis of their merit and reservation category.

Eligibility for NEE III

Maximum Age Limits as on 31st July, 2020 are 40 years for the students of the general category (GE) (born on or after 1st August, 1978), 43 years for OBC and female applicants (born on or after 1st August, 1975) and 45 years for ST/SC/PD (born on or after 1st August, 1973).\

Academic Qualifications: Applicants must have passed the 3-year Diploma course from any Government recognized polytechnic / institution in the respective or allied discipline/ branch as per the Appendix-III given in this Information Brochure with a minimum of 60% marks considering aggregate marks of all the three years’ together/CGPA of 3.0 on a 5 point scale or NERIST Diploma Module with a minimum of CGPA 3.0. Those applicants who do not possess their qualifications as per the disciplines/branches mentioned in Appendix-III are not eligible for the admission.

Exam Pattern

This indicates the test paper subjects, the number of questions in each test paper and marking scheme. For all the exam of NEE (I, II, and III) the questions are of objective type with multiple-choice answers. Candidates shall have to attempt all the questions in all the sections of the relevant paper. For every wrong answer to a question, 25% (¼th) of the marks carried by that question is deducted. There is no deduction of marks for un-attempted questions.

NEE I

It is conducted in one paper of 150 marks of three hours duration. The NEE I question paper will be consisting of three sections.

Candidates appearing in NEE-I (Paper Code 10) are eligible for admission to Base (Certificate) Module of Technology Stream.

NEE II

The NEE-II is conducted with a single question paper of 150 marks of three hours duration. The examination paper consists of either three or four sections with details given below.

NEE-II (PCM) : Candidates, seeking admission in Diploma Module of Technology Stream, with academic qualification of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics shall have to attempt NEE-II (PCM). Question paper under this scheme consists of three sections viz. Section A, Section B, and Section C

NEE-II (Vocational) : Candidates, seeking admission in Diploma Module of Technology Stream, with academic qualification of 10+2(Vocational)/ITI/NERIST Certificate in any trade shall have to attempt NEE-II (Vocational). Question paper under this scheme consists of four sections viz. Section A, Section B, Section C and Section D.

NEE-II (PCB) : Candidates, seeking admission to 4 years’ Degree program in Forestry, with academic qualification of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology shall have to attempt NEE-II (PCB). Question paper under this scheme consists of three sections viz. Section A, Section B, and Section C.

NEE III

There will be a single question paper of 150 marks consisting of four sections of three hours’ duration, including one section of the relevant branch subject according to their qualifying examination.

Candidates, seeking admission in Degree Module of Technology Stream, with academic qualification of Diploma in relevant branch/discipline, shall have to attempt NEE-III. Question paper for NEE-III consists of four sections viz. Section A, Section B, Section C and Section D.

• The candidates applying for the exam should be an Indian citizen only.
• For B.Tech course, the candidates must have passed the 12th or its equivalent from any recognized board in Kerala with 50% marks in mathematics and 50% aggregate in PCM.
• For the Marine Engineering, the candidates must have passed the 12th or its equivalent from Kerala with 60% marks in mathematics and aggregate 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics, chemistry and English (50% for candidates of SC/ST category).
• Those candidates who have done diploma/vocational courses are not eligible to for Marine Engineering course.
• For the Marine Engineering, the age of a candidate should be less than 25 years as on 1st September of the year of admission.
• The candidates belonging to the SC/ST categories will be eligible for all engineering courses except Marine Engineering it they have secured the passing marks in the qualifying examination.

The application forms are available only through the online mode, from the official website of the university. The application forms are available from January, 2020, so candidates needs to hurry up and fill the application form as early as they can to avoid any problem later on. • The Admit Card of CUSAT CAT 2020 will be available for download in the 3rd week of April, 2020, tentatively.
• Candidates will require to login with their user ID. and password to download their admit card.
• Before downloading the admit card, candidates must ensure that all the details mentioned in the admit card is correct.
• No other mode will be available to get access of the admit card.
• It is mandatory for candidates to have possession of their admit card on the examination day. Candidates without the admit card will not be allowed to appear in the examination.

Cutoff

The cut off score depends on difficulty level of exam, availability of seats, number of applicants, etc. Based on the cut-off score examination authority prepares the merit list.

The Amrita Entrance Examination-Engineering (AEEE) is conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham every year on an all-India basis for admission to their 4 year B.Tech Degree programmes offered in the three campuses – Amritapuri (Kollam), Bengaluru and Ettimadai (Coimbatore).

Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria will be admitted to the first year of B.Tech programmes through counselling, based on their ranks in the Entrance Examination.

• The Candidate should be born on or after 1st July 1998.

Scholarship Scheme For B.Tech. Programme a Fees Waiver Based On Rank In Amrita Entrance Examination Engineering (AEEE)

10% of students admitted in each branch are eligible for scholarship in the first year of B.Tech. study in each of the three campuses based on merit. This will be renewed in subsequent years as per the University rules. It is awarded as waiver of tuition fees ranging from 90% to 25% depending on the rank in the Amrita Entrance Examination-Engineering (AEEE) 2020.

The application will start from 1st November, 2020.

To apply AEEE through online method, the candidates need to go through following steps
=> Open the official website of Amrita University i.e. https://www.amrita.edu/
=> Register yourself by entering the name and email address. Once registered, you will get a user ID and password. Note down these details at a secure place, it will be used for all further purpose.
=> Now login to the portal using the login & password provided. Once logged in, start filling the details in the application form. Upload your signature and a coloured photo.

The application fees is Rs. 1000/-. You can pay it online using credit card/debit card/net banking. Once payment is done, you should take the print out of your application form and keep the same safe for your future reference.

AEEE Offline Application

If you are not comfortable with online method, you can go for the traditional offline method for application. The Candidates can obtain the printed OMR application form from the registered sales outlet, banks and offices with the payment of Rs. 1000/-. The application can also be obtained directly from three campuses of the institute. In this case, candidates need to obtain the demand draft of Rs. 1000/-. The draft should be in favour of Amrita School of Engineering payable at Coimbatore.

Besides, candidates can also request the application form through the post from the three campuses of the institute i.e. Bengaluru, Amritapuri and Coimbatore. To get the application form via post candidates need to send a written request containing full communication address along with a demand draft of Rs, 1000/-. The draft should be drawn in favour of Amrita School of Engineering payable at Coimbatore.

The duly submitted form should be sent back to the same campus from where the application form was requested.

Syllabus

AEEE Exam Pattern

The exam pattern mainly defines the internal structure of the exam. The AEEE 2020 will be held in Computer Based Test (CBT) & Pen & Paper Based Test (P&P) mode as well as offline mode. The total time duration of the exam is 3 hours only.

=> The questions asked in the exam shall be objective type questions.
=> Total 120 questions shall be put up in the question paper: 35 questions will be from chemistry, 35 from physics and 50 questions will be from maths.

The Candidates should note that Negative markings are applicable. For every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted. For every correct answer, 3 marks will be awarded.

About Computer Based Test (CBT)
It is assumed that the candidate has a basic knowledge about the computer, use of key board and mouse.
Candidate should acquire these skills before appearing for CBT. The candidate sits in front of the allotted computer which is connected to the server. The test software presents multiple choice questions on the monitor. Number of questions for the test is 100. The candidate answers the questions in preferred sequence.
Candidates in different slots will get different question sets. Before finalising the question sets, an expert committee will ensure that the question sets are of comparable standards with respect to content, nature of questions and difficulty level. The decision of the expert committee in this matter will be final and binding on the candidates.

About Pen & Paper Based Test (P&P)
Printed question booklets in 4 different versions are distributed among the candidates. The question booklet contains 100 multiple choice questions. The answers are to be marked in printed OMR answer sheet. An expert committee will ensure that the question set of P&P is of comparable standard with respect to content, nature of questions and difficulty level when compared with the question sets of computer based test. The decision of the expert committee in this matter will be final and binding on the candidates.

AEEE Admit Card

The AEEE 2020 Admit card will be made available for downloading on the official website. The tentative date for is in the month of April 2020. The candidates will be required to download the admit card from the official website and get it printed. The admit card is an essential document which must be brought to the exam hall at the time of the exam. The candidates are advised to check the details on the admit card and if any discrepancy is found, it should be informed to the competent authority.

AEEE Result

– Any recognised Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. OR
– Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology or any other subject with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or any qualification recognised as equivalent thereto with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. OR
– Passed the Final Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England, the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England or the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

MCA
– Bachelor’s Degree of a recognised University in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate and must also have passed Mathematics and English (core or elective or functional) at least at the Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the CBSE or any other Examination recognised as equivalent thereto. OR
– BCA/BIT/BIS of a recognised University of at least three years duration with at least 50% marks in aggregate or any qualification recognised as equivalent thereto. OR
– Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology or a qualification recognised as equivalent thereto with at least 50% marks in aggregate

Master of Arts (Mass Communication)
– Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University with aggregate of 50% marks

MPT
– Pass in Bachelor of Physiotherapy programme (BPT) of 4½ years duration (including internship) with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised University. OR
– Pass in Bachelor of Physiotherapy/B.Sc. (Physiotherapy) of 3½ years duration (including internship) with 50% marks in aggregate and bridge course of one year with 50% marks from a recognised University.

Master Occupational Therapy (MOT)
– Pass in Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT) with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised University.

Master of Prosthetics and Orthotics
– Pass in Bachelor of Prosthetics & Orthotics programme (BPO) with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised University.

Master of Public Health (MPH)
– Candidates possessing MBBS degree from any recognised institution are eligible to apply for the course. In-service personnel with the above qualification, working in health Institutions/ organisation in Central/State Govt. or Public Sector having 5 years experience, of which at least 3 years should be in Public Health activities are eligible. Such candidates, at the time of counselling for admission, would need to furnish a letter from their employer that if they are admitted, they would be relieved for 2 years for undertaking the course on a full-time basis at the admitted
institution. Admission will be done on All India Basis and the guidelines of Govt. of India, applicable to Central Govt. Educational Institutions will be followed.

Master of Science (MSc)
– B.Sc. Degree or its equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate. OR
– B.Sc.(Engg.), B.Tech. or B.E. in Civil/Chemical/ Agricultural Engg Degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate

Master of Laws (LLM)
– LL.B Degree as required by the Bar Council of India for Enrollment as an Advocate or an equivalent Law Degree from a Foreign University, with not less than 50% marks.

Master of Education (MEd)
Candidates should have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in the following programmes:
1. B.Ed. 2. B.A. B.Ed. 3. B.Sc. B.Ed. 4. B.El. Ed. 5. D.El. Ed. with an undergraduate degree (with 50% marks)

Master in Conservation, Preservation and Heritage Management
The candidates eligible to apply for the Master Degree Courses should be a Graduate (3 years degree course) in any subject of Humanities, Commerce or Sciences (those appearing in the 3rd year final exam may also apply. The student must be a graduate from an Indian or recognised foreign university or have passed an examination recognised as equivalent to a degree and possesses such other qualifications as may be prescribed by the University from time to time.

Master in Archaeology and Heritage Management
The candidates eligible to apply for the Master Degree Courses should be a Graduate (3 years degree course) in any subject of Humanities,
Commerce or Sciences (those appearing in the 3rd year final exam may also apply. The student must be a graduate from an Indian or recognised foreign university or have passed an examination recognised as equivalent to a degree and possesses such other qualifications as may be prescribed by the University from time to time.

Master in Philosophy (M.Phil)
– M.A./M.Sc. degree in Psychology or equivalent from a University recognised by the UGC with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate preferably with special paper in Clinical Psychology.
– The CET shall be followed by an interview, of the qualified candidates of the CET, for admission to this programme. Weightage of marks will be 90% for CET and 10% for the interview and practical, as per RCI.

Master of Computer Applications (Dual Degree)
– Pass 10+2 examination or equivalent with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject and should obtain at least 50% marks in the above subjects taken together. The candidate should also have passed English separately in the qualifying examination.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA Lateral Entry)
– Bachelor of Computer Applications / B.Sc. (Information Technology) / B.Sc.(Computer Science) degree with mathematics as a course at 10+2 level or graduate level from a University recognised by the UGC with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.

Graduation Level

Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
– Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* with pass in English (core or elective or functional)
and Mathematics or Computer Science / Informatics Practice / Computer Applications / Multimedia & Web Technology / Data Management Application / Web Application. OR
– Three year Diploma in a branch of Engineering from a polytechnic duly approved by All India Council for Technical Education and affiliated to a
recognised examining body with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

BSc Nursing
– Pass in 12th class of 10+2 of CBSE with Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics,
Chemistry, Biology provided that the candidate has passed in each subject separately. The candidate must also have passed English (core or elective
or functional) in the qualifying examination.

LLB
– Pass in 12th class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* and must also have passed English (core or elective or
functional) as a subject.

BEd
– Candidates with at least 50% marks either in Bachelors degree and/or in the Master’s degree in Sciences, Social Sciences, and Humanities. OR
Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialisation in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto.
Note:
Candidates having fulfilled the eligibility conditions, as mentioned above may opt for any two teaching methodology subjects, as per details are given below for graduates and post graduates.

A candidate also must have passed in English (core or elective or functional) as a subject of study in the qualifying examination.

For Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine & Surgery:
– Pass in 12th class examination under 10+2 system conducted by recognised Board/University
with required subjects, i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and securing minimum 60% marks aggregate in these subjects, will be eligible. A
candidate also must have passed in English as a subject of study (core, elective or functional) in the qualifying examination.

BBA & Allied Programmes
– Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* and must also have passed English (core or elective or
functional) as a subject.

Bachelor of Arts (Journalism & Mass Communication)
– Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* and must also have passed English (core or elective or
functional) as a subject.

Bachelor of Hotel Management & Catering Technology
– Pass in 12th Class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* and must also have passed in English (core or elective
or functional) as a subject.

Bachelor of Commerce (Honours)
– 50% in aggregate in 10+2 examination / senior school certificate examination of C.B.S.E . as minimum marks for admission to B.Com with a pass in five subjects (One language and four elective subjects) or an examination recognised as equivalent to that.
(i) Pre-University Examination (Two years after ten years of schooling) of an Indian school / college. OR
Intermediate Examination of an Indian University / Board or an Examination recognised as equivalent to that (Pass in Five written subjects)
(ii) Indian School Certificate Examination (12 years) conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi (Pass in

Bachelor of Science (Yoga)
Pass in 12th class of 10+2 pattern of CBSE or Equivalent with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks
in Physics, Chemistry and Biology provided that the candidate has passed in each subject separately. A candidate also must have passed in English as
a subject of study (core, elective or functional) in the qualifying examination.

B.Sc. (Medical Technology -Radio Technology)
– Pass in 12th class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology provided the candidate has
passed in each subject separately. A candidate also must have passed in English (core or elective or function) as a subject of studies in the
qualifying examination. OR
– Diploma in Radiotherapy Technology after passing in 12th class of CBSE or equivalent with minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry
and Biology provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately, having minimum 5 years of experience in the field of Radiotherapy.

UG & PG Medical Programmes

Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
– Candidate must have passed in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English (Core or Elective or Functional) individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Biotechnology and English (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC candidate, subject to availability of seat for these categories in the respective institutions)

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)
– Candidate must have passed in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (Core or Elective or Functional) individually and must have
obtained a minimum of 50% marks together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC candidate, subject to availability
of the seat for these categories in the respective institutions).

Post Graduate Medical Degree/ Diploma
The Candidate should have obtained permanent registration with the MCI or any of the State Medical Council. Only candidates who have obtained their MBBS degree from the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi are eligible to appear in the CET.

D.M.(Cardiology)
Candidates should have qualified MD / DNB (Medicine / Paediatrics).

M.Ch. (CTVS)
– Candidates should have qualified MS General Surgery/DNB General Surgery

M.Ch.(Neuro Surgery)
– Candidates should have qualified MS General Surgery/DNB General Surgery

DM (Neurology)
– Candidates should have qualified MD / DNB (Medicine / Paediatrics)

M.Ch.(Burns, Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery)

Relaxation in Eligibility

Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Widows or Wards of Defence Personnel/ Persons With Disability will be allowed 5% relaxation of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement, irrespective of the fact whether there exists any reservation for any category of such candidates or not.

Note:
Relaxation of any kind, as mentioned above and elsewhere in this Admission Brochure, will be granted to only those candidates, who are able to produce necessary relevant supporting documents as per the Admission Brochure before the Admission Officer present at the Venue of the Document Verification / Counselling /Admission. Therefore, for seeking these relaxation/s, necessary documents must be obtained in advance by all candidates from the Competent Authority as prescribed.

How to Apply

– The application forms shall be available in the online mode only from the University Website.

– It is the responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether he/she possess the requisite eligibility and qualifications for admission

– The applicants are advised that since the form filling as well as admit cards shall be made available through the online mode only, they must keep the details of their login id and the password secure and safe.

– After the application for any CET is submitted, if there is any mistake in date of birth, spelling mistake in name of applicants or the parent’s name or in the choice of category claimed for the purpose of availing reservation, the applicant must submit an application in physical form
(together with applicable processing fees of Rs. 500/-) to: Reception, Examination Division, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.

Exam Cities

(ii) MBBS (Stage II) test will be conducted only in Delhi.

Admit Card / Hall Ticket

Admit card download from university website.

The Admit Card will be available online, 7 days before the date of the CET. The Admit Cards may be downloaded from the candidate’s individual account using log-in ID and password from the website which was used for filling up the application form. No candidate will be allowed to enter the Examination Hall without the valid CET Admit Card.

The candidate should also download hall ticket from University official website.

The candidate should verify all the information in the admit card. If any issue is found, then get it corrected with the concerned authority.

The candidates are required to carry the admit card to the examination hall. Without it, you will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. It is also very important to document for the further admission processes.

Results

IPU CET Entrance Result has been declared by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIU)in the online mode. The candidates are also advised to download the Rank Cards from the website after publication of results.

Counselling

A detailed schedule of first counselling/admissions indicating the number of qualified candidates to be called for counselling will be displayed on the University’s Website one week prior to the commencement of counselling. Venue of Counselling & list of institutions along with the intake in the respective programme/s for Academic Session will be notified on the University’s Website before the commencement of counselling.

The candidates should report at the notified venue, on the scheduled date and time for counselling/admission in-person along with the documents mentioned in the detailed counselling schedule. The counselling processing fee shall be Rs. 1000/- (non-refundable). This fee shall be required
to be paid by any (qualified) candidate desirous of taking admission.
