The merit list of this entrance examination (MH-SSET-2014) will be utilised for selection of candidates for admission to all DM & MCh Superspeciality courses at the Medical colleges/Institutions in the state of Maharashtra in the academic year. It is perceived that to become a Superspecialist, one needs to be a good generalist. Uttar Pradesh Combined Medical Entrance Test (UPCMET) 2017 Exam Dates, Application Form, Eligibility Criteria

U.P. Unaided Medical Colleges Welfare Association is a consortium of Unaided Non Minority Medical Colleges in Uttar Pradesh formed under the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court judgement in Islamic Academy of Education Vs. State of Karnataka.

The Association has been registered under the Societies Registration Act (Act No. 21 of 1860), Registration No. 346/2006/07 dated 20. 07. 2006. The Association is an authority to conduct Uttar Pradesh Combined Medical Entrance Test “UPCMET” for admission in the First Year of MBBS course in the member colleges. The Merit List declared by the UP Unaided Medical College Welfare Association on the basis of Entrance Test is a pre-requisite for admission in member colleges in corresponding courses and is valid for admission to all Member Colleges.

Eligibility Criteria

– Educational Qualification as per the MCI norms.

– Admission is open to all citizen of India.

– 17 years of age as on 31st December.

– Reservation as per Govt. order applicable at the time.

– Candidates must have passed 10+2 level examination of UP Board / ISC / CBSE or its equivalent from any recognised Board / University with English as a subject; securing minimum 50% (45% in case of SC/ST) marks on average in Physics, Chemistry & Biology (including practical examination) taken together.

– Candidates appearing in 10+2 examination of 2017 are also eligible to appear in entrance test but at the time of counseling they have to produce the passing mark sheet of 10+2 examination, failing which no allotment of seats will be made.

Mode III
Completely filled Online through the link provided on the website www.upumcwa.org. The candidate is required to upload scanned photograph, signature and thumb impression. The candidate should supply all the required details while filling up the online form. On submission of details, a Confirmation Page with Application No. shall be generated. Candidates are required to take printout of Confirmation Page and keep it for reference.

The application fee payment can be made online : 1) By Credit Card. 2) By Debit Card. 3) By Net Banking.

Paper Pattern

– Candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination hall during the gap between Paper-I and Paper-II

– Paper-I will be of 200 marks and Paper-II will be of 50 marks. But combined maximum marks for merit in UPCMET would be 200 i.e. Total marks of Paper-I. Paper-II will be of qualifying nature.

– Minimum cut-off pass percentage of marks in Paper-I shall be 50% (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC) and 50% in Paper-II (40% forSC/ST/OBC) to be secured in this test. In general, merit shall be determined on the basis of marks secured in Paper-I only.

– There will be negative marks of 1/4 for each wrong answer.

– More than one answer marked in OMR answer sheet will also be considered as wrong answer

– Only Black Ball Point Pen shall be used for answering on OMR answer sheet as perdirection given in the OMR Sheet.

Admit Card

– The Admit cards will be available for download from the website www.upumcwa.org

– In case the candidate is having problem in downloading the admit card, he/she can get duplicate admit card one day before the Scheduled Examination Date from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm at the examination centre opted by the students but not on the date of examination.

To get the duplicate admit card candidate should contact the observer-UPUMCWA at the Examination Centre (as shown on the website) and they must carry the following :-

a. Two passport size photographs, similar to that pasted on application form i.e. from the same negative.

b. Rs. 100/- as fee for duplicate admit card.

c. Photocopy of Application Form along with Application Form No.

d. Proof of submitting the application form.

e. Proof of identity such as Passport/Voter ID Card/Pan Card/DL/High School Certificate etc. which must consist the photograph of candidate.

Results

– The answers to questions given by Panel of Paper Setters of respective papers and the result based on those answers shall be final and unchallengeable.

– Evaluation of Answer sheets (Barcoded OMR Sheets) shall be done through computer only. There will be no revaluation of answer sheets in any case.

– In general, the merit will be prepared on the basis of average percentage of total marks obtained by the candidates in Paper-I of the Entrance Examination conducted by UP Unaided Medical Colleges Welfare Association (UPUMCWA) subject to minimum cut-off percentage.

– The percentage will be calculated up to two decimals precision.

– Minimum cut-off pass percentage of marks in Paper-I shall be 50% (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC).

– A minimum 50% pass percentage in Paper-II of General English (Qualifying paper) (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC) is required to qualify formerit purposes.

Uttar Pradesh Common Admision Test acronym as UPCAT is conducted by Association of Private Medical & Dental Colleges of U. P. as All India Common Admission Test “UPCAT-DENTAL” for admission to Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) courses in private Dental Colleges of U.P.’ UPCMET is conducted for admission to MBBS in private Medical Colleges across the state.

Eligibility Criteria

Admission to the Dental Course-Eligibility Criteria:
– No candidate shall be allowed to be admitted to the Dental Curriculum of first Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) Course until:
1. He / She shall complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December, of the year of admission to the BDS course:
2. He / She has passed qualifying examination as under:

– The higher secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 higher secondary examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two year of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics or any must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination and in addition must have come in the merit list prepared as a result of such competitive by securing not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together in the competitive examination.

– In respect of candidates belonging to Schedule Casts, Schedule Tribes or any other categories notified by the Government the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together in qualifying examination & competitive entrance examination be 40% instead of 50% as stated above.

– Provided that a candidate who has appeared in the qualifying examination the result of which has not been declared, he may be provisionally permitted to take up the competitive entrance examination and in case of selection for admission to the BDS course, he shall not be admitted to that course until he fulfils the eligibility criteria as per above regulations.

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course is a 5 year course which is run under the aegis of Dental Council of India which was constituted on 12th April 1949 under an Act of Parliament – the Dentists Act, 1948 (XVI of 1948). The Dental Council of India runs under the aegis of Department of Health, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi.

How to Apply

– A candidate seeking registration to the Uttar Pradesh Common Admission Test ‐ DENTAL (UPCAT DENTAL) is required to send his / her application on the prescribed application form only, appended in this information brochure.

– The application form (examination fee) for entrance examination and admission in B.D.S. Course for the Academic Year 2017‐18 will be made available from member colleges.

The application form can be obtained either in person by paying cash of Rs. 1500/‐ (Rs. One Thousand Five Hundred Only) or by post by sending a crossed bank draft of Rs. 1600/‐ (Rs. One Thousand Six Hundred Only) drawn in favour of “The Association of Private Medical & Dental Colleges of Uttar Pradesh” payable at Bareilly and requisition for the required application shall be addressed to the Co‐ordinator UPCAT‐ Dental 2017, Keshlata Hospital, Delapeer, Bareilly (U.P.) Pin 243 122.

– Before filling the application form the candidate must familiarize himself / herself with the information given in this brochure and shall satisfy his / her eligibility to appear in the examination.

– Candidates shall fill the OMR application form in his / her own handwriting in block letters written neatly and legibly with ball pen within the prescribe boxes only and darken the corresponding oval.

– Overwriting, cuttings, erasings in the application forms may lead to rejection of the form and should be avoided. Any error arising on this account shall be the responsibility of the candidate. (It is advisable to first fill in a photocopy of the form and then fill in the main document).
Candidate should write his / her complete address in the application form for further correspondence. Pin code should be given in the space provided for pin code.

– No application form will be received in person. However it can also be sent by Speed Post or Courier to : Co‐ordinator, UPCAT‐DENTAL 2017, Keshlata Hospital, Delapeer, Bareilly (U.P.) 243122.

– Candidate should write his / her name in Capital letters as given in High school certificate of Board / University. Each letter should be filled in one box. One box should be left blank between each part of the name.

– Incomplete application forms or forms having overwriting will be rejected.

– Request for change in any particulars in the application form shall not be entertained under any circumstance.

– The candidate must retain this booklet after sending application form for future reference. Furnishing of false information or suppression of any information would disqualify the candidate from UPCAT‐DENTAL and cancellation of admission if already admitted

The forms shall be issued in person against cash payment or by Demand Draft in favour of “Association of Pvt. Medical and Dental Colleges of Uttar Pradesh” payable at “Bareilly” only.

In general tuition fee varies between Rs. 2,50,000/‐ to Rs. 3,75,000/‐ per year. It does not include fooding / lodging and caution money. Students are advised to contact colleges directly for their fee structure.

UPCAT DENTAL (2017) test will be conducted at 11 cities. Candidates have to select the city for the test from the list given below and accordingly fill the first and second preference for the test centre city. Paper Pattern

– All candidates should appear for the Uttar Pradesh Common Admission Test (UPCAT-DENTAL).

– The entrance examination will comprise of an objective type examination of 180 minutes duration containing 200 questions of 200 marks.

– There will be 50 questions each for Physics, Chemistry, Zoology & Botany.

– The syllabus for entrance examination will be as per the 10 + 2 examination (ICSE/CBSE/U.P. Board or equivalent).

– The question paper will be given in English only.

– The candidate is required to answer 200 MCQs in 3 hours. Each question shall carry equal marks.

All questions will be objective type with Multiple (1, 2, 3, 4) choice of which, only one will be the appropriate response and therefore the correct choice. Each correct answer will be awarded one mark. Zero marks shall be given to no response. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answer or more than one choice indicated against a question.

Admit Card

On the basis of information in the OMR Application Form, admit card of provisionally eligible candidates will be uploaded on the website www.upcatdental.net. You are required to download the admit card from the website www.upcatdental.net. No admit card will be sent by post.
Kindly save your Application Form Number to download admit card. The additional copy of the photograph retained should be affixed on the downloaded admit card and attested for producing at the test centre.

Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Uttarakhand Medical Education University (HNBUMU) Dehradun is conduct UPMT 2017 for admission in MBBS/BDS Courses in the Gvernment and Private Medical College of Uttarakhand State for the session 2017-18. Paper Pattern

The entrance exam will be held through offline mode (pen-paper) the paper comprises of four sections from Physics, Chemistry, Zoology & Botany having 50 questions from each section the duration of the exam will be 3 hours and the question will be of MCQ type. There is no process of negative marking.

There are total 200 multiple choice questions will be asked in the exam and each question will carry 1 mark. Its good news for candidates as there is no negative marking facility specified by the concerned authority. Candidates are advised to follow UPMT 2017 syllabus while preparing the exam. They should go through various mock tests so that they would become comfortable with exam pattern.

The Question Paper of CPMT 2017 shall be based on the syllabus of Intermediate (Science) of U.P. Board. There are various medical colleges who accept the score of UPCPMT. They are government institution, semi government and privately owned also. There are some very reputed colleges also that come under this exam like ‘King George medical’ college etc. Uttar Pradesh being big state, UPCPMT caters lakh of students every year.

Seat Availability

In terms of seats, UPCPMT is very good as compared to other medical entrance exams where seats are scarce. Roughly around 800 to 850 seats are there. These numbers of seats are for the government colleges who are present in UPCPMT. Private colleges who are not affiliated to this exam are also accepting the score cards. These 800+ seats are for all classes like general, Schedule caste, schedule tribe etc.

Reservation Criteria

The UPCPMT exam has the provision of seats reservation for different categories. Some major categories are SC, ST and OBC. The percentage of seats reserved for categories are for SC category is 21 % seats are reserved, for ST category total 02 % seats are reserved and for OBC category 27 % seats are reserved. The MCI (Medical Council of India) and KGMU (King George’s Medical University) have made certain reservation for categories guidelines for admission of students in undergraduate medical courses. For PWD candidates they are required to submit their medical certificate and minimum 40 percent disability will be considered officially. Candidates are required to produce the certificate belong to their category before admissions. If the candidates fail to submit their category certificate they will not eligible to take admission. Eligibility Criteria

– A candidate who has completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission born on or before 31st December 2000.

– UPCPMT (Uttar Pradesh Combined premedical test) criterion is given below and it is discussed in much detail.

– First of all you should have passed your 12th class examination from UP. Those students who have not passed their 12th class exam from UP but their parents belong to UP (With domicile) can also apply for this exam. Parent should have their domicile certificates if the candidates have not passed the 12th class exam from Uttar Pradesh.

– The intermediate examination in science of an Indian university, board or other recognised examination body with physics, chemistry and biology/Bio-Technology, including a practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject. Or

– The pre-professional/pre-medical examination with physics, chemistry and biology/Bio-Technology, after passing either the higher secondary school examination or the pre-university of an equivalent examination, which includes a practical test in physics, chemistry and biology/Bio-Technology and also English as a compulsory subject.

Syllabus

Syllabus for these subjects is given in the prospectus of the entrance exam or you can visit the official site of UPCPMT for downloading or taking printout of the syllabus. The syllabus of UPCPMT exam will consist of four subjects, i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Zoology. Total 50 questions will be asked from each subject. The UPCPMT question paper will be made as per the intermediate level of UP Board. The question paper will carry total 200 questions. Paper Pattern

The CPMT 2017 consists of one paper containing 200 objective type questions from the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Botany & Zoology, 50 from
each subject. The duration of CPMT 2017 will be 03 hours from 09.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon.

Results

The candidates who are the residents of Uttar Pradesh and are interested in medical courses like BHMS, BUMS, BDS, BAMS and MBBS can apply for UPCPMT exam 2017. The entrance test will be conducted in 2017. UPCPMT Result 2017 will be available through the official website of the university.

Jammu & Kashmir Post Graduate Medical entrance Test (J&K PGMET) is a national level entrance exam conducted by Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE). Students interested to get admission into post graduate medical programmes like Master of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Diploma and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) in the state of Jammu & Kashmir. The exam start in the month of February and application form for the year 2017 would be available from December, 2016 onwards.

Number of seats intimated by the Medical and Dental Colleges and Institutions, Government or Private, of the State as approved by the Medical Council of India andDental Council of India.

Eligibility Criteria

** The candidates having “Outstanding Proficiency in Sports” must submit their certificates to the Secretary, J& K Sports Council for awarding points which will be then officially submitted to the Board by the Sports Council.

The selection of candidates from the Reserved Categories for different streams in MD/MS/PG Diploma courses shall be made strictly on the basis of their inter-se merit treating them as a single class for the purposes of allotment of Streams in terms of Rule 15 of the Reservation Rules, 2005.

It shall be necessary for a candidate to obtain at least the minimum qualifying marks in the Entrance Test for the Courses as prescribed for different categories under the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation Rules and the MCI/ DCI Regulations, as amended from time to time.

How to Apply

– Online Application Form available on the official website of the BOPEE to be submitted by the eligible candidates for appearing in the Entrance Tests.

SAMPLE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM IS AVAILABLE ON THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF BOPEE. Online Application Forms has to be uploaded by the candidate by following the steps given in this Brochure. An amount of rupees 1600/- as fee has to be paid online. Applicants, who don’t have internet facility, may avail this facility at the Help Desk of I.T. Section of BOPEE with prior telephonic appointment, on nominal fee of Rs. 100/-, on all working days at the below mentioned BOPEE offices:

a. BOPEE Office, Bhagat-i-Barzullah, opposite J&K Bank, Srinagar-190005 (11 A.M. to 4 P.M.)

b. BOPEE Office, 4th Floor, South Block, Bahu Plaza, Jammu-180012 (11 A.M. to 4 P.M.)

The Entrance Test fee is non-refundable. Where a candidate submits online Application Form but is later found ineligible, he/she cannot claim refund of the fee paid by him/her. Fee once paid shall not be refunded or reserved for next session

1. The candidates have to upload Online Application Form, fee and the certificates only.

2. The in-service candidates have to route their applications through proper channel. They can download Application Form but cannot submit it online. They have to submit their online Application Form complete in all respects in the BOPEE Office Srinagar/Jammu, after obtaining NOC from the Government / Director Health Services Jammu / Kashmir

Instructions for Submission of Online Application Form
– Read the instructions and procedures carefully before you start filling up the online Application Form.

– Application Form has to be submitted online

– Only online Application Forms will be accepted

– Payment of Entrance Test fee of Rs. 1600.00 is to be made online through the HDFC integrated Payment Gateway which can be used to make payment with any national Credit Card/Debit Card issued by any national bank.

– The entries/options filled by the candidate in the Online Application Form, after it is submitted, cannot be changed.

– The name and date of birth of the candidate should be exactly the same as recorded in his/her High School Certificate. Any discrepancy, whenever discovered, may lead to cancellation of the candidature.

– After successful submission of Online Application Form, an Application Number along with Confirmation Page will be generated by the computer.

– In service candidates who are working in Govt./Semi Govt. Departments on permanent or on probation cannot submit Application Form online for Acceptance.

– Candidates have to print out confirmation page and route it through proper channel. They will have to submit their Confirmation Page along with the NOC from the concerned Director of Health Services in the BOPEE office Srinagar/Jammu.

Application Fee

The concerned authority has specified application fee as Rs. 1600/- and the amount can be paid either through debit card/credit card.

*It is not necessary to send confirmation page to the respective authority.

Exam Centres

a. The Entrance Test shall be held at the Centres as may be constituted by the BOPEE in the cities of Srinagar and Jammu only.

b. The Centers shall be allotted by the BOPEE and the information for the same shall be provided to the candidates on the admit card/ or separately

c. The Test Centre once allotted shall not be changed.

Syllabus

MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses. The syllabus contents for the Entrance Test for admission to MD/Ms and other Diploma courses shall be the latest syllabus of MBBS in vogue in the Universities of Jammu and Kashmir.

Paper Pattern

There shall be two papers of two hours duration each for PG Medical Degree & Diploma Courses. Each question paper shall contain 150 marks.

Admit Card

1. No candidate shall be allowed to enter Test Centre/venue without valid Admit Card in original.

2. The Admit Cards will be available online. The candidates are advised to download their Admit Cards from the BOPEE official Websites (www.jakbopee.net or www.jakbopee.org or www.jkbopee.in) on photo paper printed in colour. The candidates will be informed through a separate notification regarding downloading of admit cards. Applicants are therefore advised to keep themselves updated with the information on the official website

4. Mere possession of admit card shall not ipso-facto confer eligibility on a candidate who is otherwise not eligible for appearing in Entrance Test.

5. It is necessary to paste an attested photograph of the candidate on the space ear marked for the purpose on the downloaded admit card.

6. Candidates shall have to preserve admit cards till the allotment of seats/completion of selection/admission process.

7. Admit card is an extremely important document. It should not be mutilated, defaced or changed in any manner which makes it doubtful.

Results

Every effort will be made to prepare credible result. The representations, if any, will be reexamined by the subject experts and only after that result will be prepared which will take its own time. The candidates are advised not make frequent calls and stay calm and rest assured that
their merit is in the safe hands.

The whole merit list will be placed on BOPEE’s websites(s) and the list of selected candidates will be published in two leading English Newspapers of each Division in the State.
