What is PESSAT DAT?
PES University conducts Design Aptitude Test (DAT) to shortlist aspirants for admission in Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes offered at the Design School of the University. The first batch of BDes at PES University commenced in August 2016. The University offers BDes programmes in streams such as Product Design, Interaction Design and Communication Design.
In order to offer admission to aspirants in BDes programmes, PES University accepts PESSAT DAT as well as UCEED scores.
PES University conducts PES Scholastic Aptitude Test (PESSAT) exam in order to offer admission to aspirants in courses such as BTech, BBA, BBA in Hotel and Event Management, MTech, MBA, MCA and MSc in Engineering.
PESSAT DAT Eligibility Criteria 2020
Candidates meet PESSAT DAT 2020 eligibility criteria if they fulfill any of the below mentioned requirements:
- Should have passed 10+2 with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in Humanities, Science, Commerce or any other relevant stream and should have studied English as a mandatory course.
Or
- Should have passed three year diploma with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate and should have studied English as a mandatory course.
And
- Should have secured a rank in UCEED conducted by IDC of IIT Bombay or should have a valid score in PESSAT DAT conducted by PES University.
PESSAT DAT Admission Process 2020
Candidates need to follow the below mentioned steps to take part in the admission process for PESSAT DAT exam:
Step 1: Apply for PESSAT DAT
Candidates need to fill PESSAT DAT 2020 application form online on the official website of PES University.
Step 2: Book slot for PESSAT DAT
After submitting PESSAT DAT application form, candidates need to book a slot for the exam. Once they have booked their slot, admit card will be issued. The candidates must download their admit card from the official website of PES University.
Step 3: Appear for PESSAT DAT exam
Candidates need to appear for PESSAT DAT exam as per the slot booked by them. PESSAT DAT is scheduled to be conducted only at PES University campus (Banashankari, Bangalore).
Step 4: Give Interview
Candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in PESSAT DAT need to appear for the interview round. When appearing for the interview round, candidates need to carry their creative portfolio.
Step 5: Check PESSAT DAT Result
Candidates are informed about PESSAT DAT result through both email as well as SMS. The result for PESSAT DAT is also declared on the official website of PES University.
NRI/ Sponsored Seats/ Higher Fee Category Seats Admission Process
Such aspirants can provisionally block the seat with PES University (subject to availability of seats). Candidates need to talk to the admissions office at PES University for more information on blocking the seat.
