Lovely Professional University conducts its own test LPUNEST (National Entrance & Scholarship Test). This test forms the basis of eligibility for some of the programmes and scholarship for most of the programmes. The scholarship is offered on the basis of performance in LPUNEST in all the programmes of the University except Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed.) programme. The amount of scholarship depends on the fee of the programme, date of admission and performance of the student in LPUNEST.

To be eligible for LPUNEST applicant must have either completed or should be appearing in class 12 examination in 2020.
They must belong to the recognised school and appearing / appeared in CBSE / ICSE / State board / PSEB other such board class 10+2 examination.
=> Applicants appearing for LPUNEST-2020 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2020, in final examination of 10 + 2 from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi) or The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE, New Delhi) or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college etc. declared recognised by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi or any other concerned apex body as applicable.
For admission in B.Tech applicant should
=> Score 70% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and English)* OR
=> Score 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and English)* subject to valid score in LPUNEST–2020 / JEE (Main).
For B.Tech Biotechnology (BT), and B.Tech – BT (Food Process Engineering)
=> Subjects considered: Physics, Chemistry, English & Maths/ Biology/ Biotech; other things remaining same as above.
For admission in B.Tech (with Hons), Integrated B.Tech – M.Tech and Integrated B.Tech – MBA applicant should
=> Score 80% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and English)# OR
=> Score 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and English)# subject to valid score in LPUNEST-2020
For B.Tech– Hons Biotechnology (BT)
=> Subjects considered: Physics, Chemistry, English & Maths/ Biology/ Biotech; other things remaining same as above.
How to Apply
Step-1- Basic Details
(a) Applicant Registration Details
Applicant will click whether he/she has obtained Application ticket or not.
Applicant should fill the personal information.
It is mandatory to provide valid email id.
Applicant Name, Date of Birth and email id cannot be changed. Hence provide correct information
On submitting the information requested in step 1(a), a confirmatory message containing application id and password will be sent by mail and phone.
Applicants are requested to note down the application number.
All the future correspondence will be made on the application number only .
(b) Already Registered User Login
If the applicant has already filled the details in Step-1(a), then the applicant can log in (Step-1(b))by using Application Number and Password .
Step 2- Payment Details
For making payment through Online Mode, Applicant can use any of the following option
– Internet Banking facility
– Debit Card
– Credit Card
– Select the appropriate payment mode and follow the stepwise instructions.
For making payment through Offline Mode (Demand Draft), Applicant needs to follow the following steps :-
– Take a printout (Laser or inkjet only) of the completed application (Step 1) on a good quality A4 size paper.
– Enclose a demand draft for 500/- drawn in favour of Lovely Professional University Payable at Jalandhar.
– Applicant should write “Application for LPUNEST-2020”, his / her Name and Mobile Number on the back side of the Demand Draft.
Paste a recent passport size colour photograph, affix signature of Applicant and send in good quality envelope to the address below.

Step 4- Slot Booking Details
OPTION-I BOOKING OF THE SLOT BY THE APPLICANT
– Online Test booking system is a web based online scheduling system available at www.lpu.in which will be activated on 1st March 2020.
– Applicants can book centre, date and time as per their own convenience.
– Applicant has to book the test from 1st March 2020 to 5th April 2020.
– Slot bookings are done on the first-come-first-served basis and are subject to availability. So it is strongly advised that applicant should book their exam slot at the earliest to avoid any inconvenience later on.
OPTION-II BOOKING OF THE SLOT BY UNIVERSITY
– University will allot any one date (preferably from the given choices) for the exam as per the availability of exam slots. University will process the request for exam slot within 48 hours after receiving the application form. However, all applications received before 1st March 2020 will be processed on 1st March 2020 only as Online Slot Management System will be activated on 1st March 2020.
– Applicant has to visit www.lpu.in regularly and is required to fill username and password to check the allocated slot for the test.
In the case of non-availability of slots out of the 5 choices filled by the applicant or due to any postal delay, the university may allocate any other date to the applicant.

Syllabus
Paper Pattern / Exam Pattern
The test duration is of 120 minutes and consists of 90 multiple choice questions (MCQ) of the objective type.

Scholarship
Scholarship on the basis of performance in LPUNEST is available for all Programmes of the University except Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.)
Scholarship for a specific Programme depends on Performance in LPUNEST. There are four brackets:
– Marks >= 90% in LPUNEST
– Top 10% students in LPUNEST
– Next 10% (11% to 20%) students in LPUNEST
– Next 15% (21% to 35%) students in LPUNEST
Fees of the Programme: Five Brackets of Scholarship are defined as per fee of the Programme. Scholarship applicable in Phase – I (till 31st May) and Phase-II (till 30th June) except B.Tech. programmes will be as per the following table.
Admit Card / Hall Ticket
The candidate should also dowload ehall ticket from University official website.
The candidate should verify all the information in the admit card. If any issue is found, then get it corrected with the concerned authority.
The candidates are required to carry the admit card to the examination hall. Without it, you will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. It is also very important to document for the further admission processes.
Cutoff
Candidates have who score more than cut off Marks would feature in the merit list. Candidates names included in the merit list will be called for counselling rounds. Candidates can check previous years cut off marks to get an idea of Cut off for the current year as cut off will be declared after the declaration of Result.
Answer Key
Lovely Professional University (LPU) declare the official answer key for LPUNEST exam. Candidates can check their answers by subject wise in the official website. If there any complaints in the marks the candidates send their doubts before the last date.
Results
The candidates are also advised to download the score cards from the website after publication of B.Tech, MBA, MCA Exam results.
