The University of Mumbai invites the applications for the Ph.D. Entrance Examination in the concerned subject of research of the Faculty of Arts, Commerce, Science, Law and Technology. Mumbai University has always been a second home for PhD aspirants wishing to seek the highest degree of specialization. MU offers PhD in the concerned subjects of research of the faculty of arts, commerce, science, law and technology. No other university in India offers such choice in terms of specialization. Admission to these programmes is done through Mumbai University PhD PET. This objective entrance exam tests candidates in relevant subjects of separate faculties. Candidates with a master’s degree in relevant discipline with a minimum aggregate of 55 percent marks are eligible to apply.Applicants with national level teacher fellowship are exempted from appearing for this exam.

Eligibility:-

=> Master degree in relevant discipline from a recognized university with minimum 55 percent marks in total. (50 percent marks in case of reserved category candidates).

=> Candidates who have qualified GATE/SET/NET/JRF exam and are holders of teachers fellowships of apex bodies like
CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ICMR/DBT etc are exempted from appearing for this test.
