The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and science for admission into the Masters Program and Recruitment by some Public Sector Companies. GATE 2022 is conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and six other Indian Institutes of Technology at Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Chennai, Roorkee & Indian Institute of Science at Bengaluru on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, The Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.
GATE 2022 is conducted by Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. GATE is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven IITs (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee) on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), and Government of India.
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is basically an examination on the comprehensive understanding of the candidates in various undergraduate subjects in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and post-graduate level subjects in Science. GATE 2022 will be conducted for 24 subjects (also referred to as “papers”) and it would be distributed over 5th, 6th, & 12th, 13th February 2022. The GATE examination centres are spread in different cities across India, as well as, in six cities outside india. The examination would be purely a Computer Based Test (CBT). The GATE score would reflect the relative performance level of the candidate in a particular subject, which is quantified based on the several years of examination data. Note that the GATE 2022 score is valid for THREE YEARS from the date of announcement of the results. IIT Madras is the organizing institute for GATE 2022.

Eligibility Criteria for GATE 2022
A candidate who is currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program.
A candidate who has already completed any government approved degree program in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Science / Commerce / Arts is eligible for appearing in the GATE 2022 exam.
However, the candidates who possess certification from any of the professional societies must ensure that those examinations conducted by the societies are approved by MoE/AICTE/UGC/UPSC as equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. / B.Planning, etc.
Candidates who have obtained / are pursuing their qualifying degree from countries other than India: Must be currently in the 3rd or higher years or completed their Bachelor’s degree (duration: at least 3 years) in Engineering / Technology / Science / Arts / Commerce.

Candidate can optionally visit the official website any of IITs. Fill the basic details and after that upload the scanned photograph, signature, and other mandatory details. After this section, you need to clear the payment section which you can do via net banking, credit/debit card, e-challan. Lastly, do not forget to check the status of your application.

GATE 2022 Answer Key The Official GATE 2022 Answer Key has been released by IIT Guwahati on March 2021. The official Answer Key of GATE 2022 exam has been declared for all the 23 papers by IIT Guwahati, the organizing institute for GATE 2022.
