Right to Information Act 2005 was seen as a ray of hope in the other wise dark scenario. It was hailed as one of the most progressive RTI laws in the world, with several provisions worthy of emulation. Soon the RTI laws will have no wings to flutter.

According to the current modifications in the RTI act 2005, Cabinet papers available currently after the decision is complete will now be barred from disclosure even after the decision is taken. As a result, the process of decision-making will be kept out of the public domain, making it far more difficult for citizens to participate in the process.

Just six months after the Act has come into effect, the Union Cabinet has approved a set of amendments, some of which will crucially damage the scope and power of the Act. The enthusiasm and optimism associated with the act would no longer be there.

British Politicians have accused the Asian and African countries of contaminating their value tolerance, good governance, and probity in public life. This is nothing but an example of ‘white man’s burden.

The Imperalistic tendencies of Britain have not ceased to exit; they have only changed their form. What was once called the ‘white man’s burden’ is now referred to as ‘the Third World syndrome’.

For ever and anon, the West has looked down upon the Third World as lowly and its influence as polluting. The terms used by the politicians change but the ‘colonizing’ tendencies of the West continue to exist. This is clearly evident from the comments made by Mathew Parris in which he accused Prime Minister Tony Blair of bringing a “Third World flavor” to British politics.

Architects are involved in construction at all levels. Architecture has always interested me. I have enjoyed the detailing and the designing. This career has always been enjoyed by me.

Designing something simple or grand, I have always enjoyed a career in architecture. This career involves negotiation, design and supervision.

Architecture has always interested me. The myriad intricacies of the drawings have always intrigued me. I’ve always enjoyed the negotiation and supervision of a construction.

How have the companies that copied the Dell model performed? Have they done as well? Hard to say : for the most part, they seem not to exist.

Others may have adopted a bit of his model here and a bit there, but none has taken it far and they have all under performed.

Dell is a one-off success story and the other companies are unable to replicate the performance though they replicate the model itself.
