Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education invites applications for admissions to Uttarakhand JEEP for the academic year 2020.

Uttarakhand Board Of Technical Education (UBTE) will conduct Uttarakhand Joint Entrance Examination Polytechnics 2020 on May 10 and 11 in pen-and-paper based mode. The application form for the exam has been released in online mode on January 15, 2020. OMR-based applications will also be available from January 20 , with last date of submission being April 4, 2020. The entrance exam, also known as Uttarakhand JEEP 2020 will be conducted for admission to engineering and non-engineering diploma courses offered by polytechnics institutes in the state. The exam for engineering and technology will be of 2 hours duration and include multiple choice questions. Questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Among important eligibility criteria for sitting in the exam include a pass in Class 10 with minimum 35% aggregate marks, and pass marks in compulsory subjects. Admit card for eligible candidates will be issued around the the second week of April.

Admission authorities will declare the result of the exam tentatively in the last week of May, in the form of rank cards. Merit lists will also be published for short-listing candidates for centralized counselling that will be conducted online. If there are vacant seats left after online counselling rounds, institute-wise counselling will be held to fill vacant them.

Uttarakhand JEEP 2020 Eligibility Criteria:

Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:
Candidates seeking admission to diploma engineering courses will be considered for admission only if they meet the eligibility criteria laid down by exam officials. Of the eligibility conditions that candidates have to meet include that of age limit, qualifying exam passed and minimum marks, and also domicile. Each of the eligibility condition is explained in detail below for the benefit of the candidate.

Age Limit – There is no minimum or maximum age limit

Qualifying Exam – The candidate needs to have scored minimum 35% marks in class 10 with Science and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

Domicile:

• Candidates who are permanent residents of the state of Uttarakhand are eligible for admission
• Outside Uttarakhand candidates, who don’t have permanent resident certificate, should only apply if they have passed the qualifying exam from the state.
• Candidate who have passed the qualifying exam from an institute located in the state of Uttarakhand, they may also apply.

Fitness: Applicants need to be physically and mentally fit.

Mode of Examination

Uttarakhand JEEP 220 is Computer Based Test (CBT).

Exam Pattern

The medium of the question paper will be English only.

The question paper of Uttarakhand JEEP 2020 will consist of 120 objective type questions with 5 choices for every question. The total duration of 2 hours will be provided to answer the questions.

Admit Card / Hall Ticket

The admit card will be avilable online for download. The candidate can download and print it. The hard copy of BITSAT admit card will also be sent through post. The candidate should verify all the information in the admit card. If any issue is found, then get it corrected with the concerned authority.

The candidates are required to carry the admit card to the examination hall. Without it, you will not be allowed to enter the examination hall. It is also very important to document for the further admission processes.

Uttarakhand JEEP 2020 Cutoff

The Uttarakhand JEEP 2020 Cutoff is the minimum required score for qualifying the exam and getting shortlisted in the final merit list of the institute. Every year, the cutoff is released by the exam authorities to shortlist candidates for the next stage or round of the admission process.
