Many of you will be tested after your class 12th board examinations to determine your stream and graduation degree. Engineering Entrance Exams after Class 12
- JEE Mains: JEE Main is a national level entrance exam administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education following class XII for admission to engineering programmes at NITs, IIITs, and centrally sponsored technical schools such as IIST, as well as the qualifying exam for JEE Advanced. AIEEE was the previous name for it.
- JEE Advanced: The IITs administer JEE (Advanced), and only candidates who have passed the JEE Mains are eligible to sit the exam. All undergraduate Engineering and other science programmes offered at 16 IITs in India and ISM Dhanbad are open to qualified candidates. There are two three-hour papers. The question papers will be available in both English and Spanish (in English and Hindi). Each question paper is unique.
- BITSAT: For admission to engineering degree courses at the BITS campuses in Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad, Class XII students must take the Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test. BITS Pilani’s BITSAT is a computer-based online entrance exam for engineering, pharmacy, information systems, and other fields. Notifications are sent out in December, and online examinations are available.

- VITEE: The Engineering Entrance Test (VITEEE) is administered by Vellore Institute of Technology for admission to its various B Tech Degree programmes. The test is held in March, and online applications are accessible starting in December.
- COMED-K: An Undergraduate Entrance Test is held by the Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (Comed-k) in Bangalore (UGET). It is held to determine the merit of students seeking admission to undergraduate programmes at the Karnataka Professional Colleges Foundation Trust’s Member Institutions (KPCF).
- Manipal MU OET: The Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU-OET) is held across India to select students for admission to Manipal Institute of Technology’s Engineering programme.
Medical Entrance Tests after 12th
- AIIMS MBBS: Entrance Exam: After Class XII, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) holds a national entrance exam for admission to MBBS seats at AIIMS New Delhi and six other AIIMS-like schools. In Delhi and other AIIMS-affiliated institutions, AIIMS holds an entrance exam to fill available seats in the MBBS programme.
- National Eligibility-cum- Entrance Exam for Under Graduate (NEET- UG): NEET –UG is an all-India single entrance-cum-eligibility test for admission to MBBS/BDS programmes after completing class 12th science. It is held by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), which previously held an all-India Pre-Medical Examination (AIPMT).

Architecture Entrance Tests after 12th
NATA: The National Aptitude Test is an architecture entrance test for admission to B Arch programmes in government, government-aided, and unaided architecture colleges in India. NATA can be taken at any designated test location at least 6 working days before the desired universities’ application deadline. NATA application forms are available in March, and the exam can be taken on any working day between March and August.

Defense and Marine Competitive Exams after 12th Class
- NDA Exam : An all India level entrance exam for those who wish to join any defense force and serve the nation. After qualifying the NDA and NA selected candidates can join Army, Air Force and Navy as per their passing percentage during the training period. Class 12th pass outs are eligible for this exam.
- Indian Navy B.Tech Entry Scheme: This entrance test for class 12 students seeking admission in Indian Navy B.Tech course.

- Karnataka CET: The state of Karnataka conducts a common entrance test for admission to Professional Educational Institutions in the State for the academic year for Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani through NEET UG and other Courses including Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Naturopathy, Yoga, Agriculture, Forestry, Sericulture, Agri Biotech, Horticulture, Home Science, Veterinary Science, Animal Husbandry and many other courses.
- Kerala KEAM: The government of Kerala conducts a common entrance test, Kerala Engineering Agriculture Medical Entrance Examinations (KEAM), for admission to colleges in the state for admission to Medical, Agriculture, Veterinary, Fisheries, Engineering and Architecture Courses Admission.
- EAMCET– Andhra Pradesh: In the state of Andhra Pradesh, EAMCET (Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test) is conducted for admission to Medical and Engineering courses in various state colleges . This entrance exam after 12th is conducted by JNTU every year for admission to Engineering, Medical and Agriculture Courses.
Hotel Management Entrance Exams
- NCHMCT JEE: The National council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology Joint regulates B.Sc Hospitality and Hotel Administration and other courses of study at 21 central IHM, 14 state government IHM and 15 private IHM affiliated with NCHMCT. For admission to courses offered at these institutes the council conducts Joint Entrance Test (JEE).
