What is CEED?

Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT Bombay) conducts Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) to provide admission to aspirants in Master of Design (MDes) and PhD programmes offered at colleges accepting CEED scores. As per statistics shared, CEED 2020 was attempted by 5,564 candidates and out of this number 1,724 candidates qualified the exam.
CEED exam comprises two parts – A and B. CEED exam pattern is such that part A of the exam consists of objective type questions (to be attempted in online mode) whereas part B of the exam contains subjective questions (to be attempted in offline mode). CEED Part B exam contains questions that test design, drawing and writing skills of candidates. Part A of CEED exam is considered as a screening test. It means that only candidates who clear Part A are evaluated for Part B of the exam.
CEED exam was conducted on January 18, 2020 and its result was declared on March 1. IIT Bombay has also released the list of CEED topper. The topper of CEED 2020 is from Chattisgarh and he has scored 69.68 marks in the exam. CEED Rank 2 and Rank 3 holders are from Tamil Nadu and Jharkhand, respectively.

CEED 2020 Exam Dates & Events

Start date to fill CEED application forms 09-Oct-2019 Online registrations begin. No change in application process or fee for CEED admissions 2020.
CEED application process ends 15-Nov-2019 Last date to apply for CEED exam with regular application fee. Application process for CEED exam was to close on November 9 but the date was extended by authorities to November 13. In order to accomodate maximum students, IIT Bombay again extended the last date to fill CEED application form to November 15.
Last date to submit application form with late fee 20-Nov-2019 Applications can be submitted by paying late fee of Rs 500 in addition to the application fee.
The last date to submit CEED application form with late fee was extended from November 16 to November 20, 2019.
Download CEED admit card 27-Dec- 2019 CEED admit card was to be released on January 1 but authorities released the admit card earlier. The admit card can be downloaded from the official CEED website.
CEED Exam 18-Jan- 2020 To be conducted across 24 test cities from 10 am to 1 pm on exam day.

CEED 2020 Eligibility Criteria

CEED 2020 eligibility criteria as stated by IIT Bombay mentioned that aspirants should have completed their degree / diploma / post graduate degree programme of minimum three years after 10+2 level education or candidates should give the final examination of such a programme by July 2020. Apart from these criteria, candidates are also eligible to take CEED exam if they have passed GD Arts diploma programme (10+5 level) by July 2020.
Age Limit: There is no age limit to apply for CEED exam. Aspirants can appear for CEED multiple times.
